I was curious to know about what is being prayed in Mosques,Five times a day? Namaz is considered to be one of the five fundamental duties of Islam. So, what is recited five times a day must be the essence of Islam .It would be appropriate that we know about what is recited.I am reproducing the text of what is being recited during Namaz with the Link.

Before going into it, I would like to share with you what Hindus pray and not Pray for.

Prays for.

  • Prosperity and welfare to All,irrespective of caste, creed ,Humans and animals.

Education that does not waver in the sense that it is helpful and not mere information and distracting.

Never Aging in the sense of keeping the physical and mental faculties in tact.

Friendship that is true and honest.

A Body without  illness .

An unflagging mind undeterred by disappointments.

Wife whose Love never wanes,

A child who is on the Right path.

Fame that never takes a beating.

The trait of keeping one’s word.

Uninterrupted Philanthropy.

Undiminished wealth.

Just Judgments.

A Life without pain.

Your Grace to be with your Devotees.

  • Hinduism does not talk about punishment to non believers
  • It does not make or consider individuals as slaves.
  • It explores Truth.
  • Nor does Hinduism pinpoint one as The Messiah or Prophet and only he has to be acknowledged.
  • It does not talk about Descendants who are to be blessed.
  • It does not ask the angel to record one’s good deeds and the angel on the left to record bad deeds.

What is the purpose of Prayer?

One prays whe one is faced with a problem one can not surmount.

It may be by persons or events beyond our control.

Prayer is highly individualistic and personal.

Prayers are the tools through which we connect to God/Reality.

One approaches God in the Form he is comfortable with in communicating.

One may not hear the answer.

But I have experienced that prayers are heard.

Sometimes what we pray, we may not get.

I recall Shakespeare thus,

‘We, ignorant of ourselves, Beg often our own harms, which the wise powers Deny us for our good; so find we profit By losing of our prayers.’ Shakespeare.

How true?

I salute the Supreme, Omnipotent  Lord, who is denoted by the mystical syllable OM, who forms the bodies a prakriti,  and dwells in them as purusha, the Self-efficient Lord, from whom this  universe emanates, and in whom it lives, who is verily the universe itself, yet  beyond it as its unmanifest cause.  https://ramanisblog-in.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/ramanisblog.in/2017/01/25/ultimate-prayer-for-vishnu-grace-gajendra-moksha/amp/?amp_gsa=1&amp_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#amp_ct=1650849688286&amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=16508496682577&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Framanisblog.in%2F2017%2F01%2F25%2Fultimate-prayer-for-vishnu-grace-gajendra-moksha%2F

Shanthi Mantra Hinduism

Slokas to recite in the morning.

Salah (namaz prayer) English transliteration and translation. It is extremely important to understand what you recite in Namaaz, to be able to connect with Allah, to be able to become more sincere in what you ask from Allah, to establish Namaaz, to be able to find peace in our namaaz. Did not the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) understand the meaning what he recited in his Salah? So it should it not be Sunnah to understand what we recite in Namaaz?

Read: Subhanaka Allahumma wabi hamdika wata-bara kasmuka wata’ala jad-duka wala ilaha ghyruka.
This means: Glory be to you, O Allah, and all praises are due unto you, and blessed is your name and high is your majesty and none is worthy of worship but you.

At-taḥiyyātu

This means: All compliments, all physical prayer and all monetary worship are for Allah. Peace be upon you, Oh Prophet, and Allah’s mercy and blessings. Peace be on us and on all righteous slaves of Allah. I bear witness that no one is worthy of worship except Allah. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Allâhumme Salli

This means: Oh Allah, send grace and honour on Muhammad and On the family and true followers of Muhammad just as you sent Grace and Honour on Ibrahim and on the family and true followers of Ibrahim. Surely, you are praiseworthy, the Great.

Allâhumme Barik

Read: Rabbana Atina Fid Dunya Hasanatan Wa Fil Akhirati Hasanatan Waqina Azabannar

This means: Our Lord, grant us the good of this world and that of the Hereafter and save us from the torture of hell.

Rabbenâğfirlî

Dua Qunoot

This means: O God! We ask you for help, forgiveness, and guidance. We believe in you and turn to you in repentance for our sins, and place our trust in you. We praise you by attributing all good to you, and thank You, and never feel ingratitude to you. We reject and cut our relations with those who are in constant rebellion against you.

This means: O God, You alone do we worship, and we pray and prostrate for you alone. We endeavour in your way to obtain your good pleasure and approval. We hope and expect Your Mercy and fear your chastisement, for your chastisement is to surround the unbelievers.
