1.Obama’s line is long overdue from US.This will build Palestinian confidence and also send a warning to Israel that their sufferings in the annals of History does not confer on them the Right to make others suffer for no fault of their own.A good beginning for a solution to middle east.
2.Gameplan of Nkorea is world attention and aid for economic prosperity, hence the sabre rattling.Unfortunately China and Russia are on its side.However repugnant it might be, better to engage in talks and provide assistance to Nkorea to ward off greater threat.
3.Distinction between , Taliban and other terrorists has no meaning..Terrorism is terrorism is ,notwithstanding labels.All forms of terrorism are to be ruthlessly wiped out.But ,of course ,Pakistan?!!!!Pakistan is not only a failed state but a failed society as well.
4.Kelly’s definition is correct.The counter argument based on coercion forgets the point coercion was adopted because there was no voluntary participation.Goal remains the same.In Kelly’s case it is more human face of Communism.Names do not matter nor semantics, but what is real and good.

Courageous,imaginative, bold and practical move. Technological reasons apart,the political returns on assuming charge of other countries’ defense is minimal.Tell me, which country has not been attacked because it has US defense system or US personnel.Protagonists of interfering in the affairs of a foreign country might argue that it is acting as a deterrent.Logic is flawed.When a country is not threatened.you assume it is because of US protection.What about North Korea vs South Korea and Japan?If a country decides to attack another country or wants to defend itself it will do so with or with out US support.What happened when Nixon sent US Enterprise into Indian ocean in 1971 during Indo-Pak.conflict?India went ahead and Bangladesh was born.What about Vietnam,Korea? US wasted lives and money.To what end?Double guessing game costs.Obama seems to think straight and his move is welcome as it will cool down tempers of jittery neighbors of the countries to which US has stopped offering military installations.Money saved could be used for social causes in US.These types of initiatives shall endear US to the world which sees US as an interfering bully right now.

‘Considering’ and ‘Securing’ assurances from China and Russia on taking action against Iran may sound grandiose, but will it really fructify?The ‘inevitability’ of sanctions-as made out by Russia-may drive Iran into a corner.Amidst this bonhomie people seem to have forgotten N.Korea and Pakistan on Nuclear issue.The promises made by China and Russia that they will take tougher action-it is not something new,as Security Council members, they ought to do it anyway-holds good so long as it affects them, especially with reference to China.

Yes.It has something to do with Iranian pride-what is wrong about it?This is not to condone what it is doing now.Tell, me which sanctimonious Nation is not producing nuclear arsenal right now as they were delivering the lecture?Every Nation has to look after its interest first.US is whining because it is at the receiving end now, for the first time from North Korea and now Iran.Does US notify the its citizens about its nuclear facilities, let alone the world?Mind set of US must change that they are a Nation among Nations and not the Nation.Take Russia and China with other Nations along and be honest with what you do and see the difference.
