Al Qaeda has long been a monolith, though operating as a Multinational Corporate. It had a Central Command and the structures though cut off directly from the directly,had a strict Unitary structure. No longer. The Syrian Branch or the Franchisee of the Al Qaeda brushed aside the instruction from to stay away by Ayman al-Zawahri, the leader of Al Qaeda.. The US has made it tough for Al Qaeda Central command to function effectively after Osama Bin Laden's Death. Armed with Data from Osama's hardD rive, the Al Qaeda Cells have been immobilized. To operate effectively, a minimum autonomy was needed. When that was granted, the Franchisees began to assert themselves. This causes even more serious concern as it would be difficult to identify the Groups which operate under Al Qaeda and becomes very tough in handling Terrorist threats.
The purans are ancient History. While we accord recognition and respect Western History, we do not have the same attitude to Indian Puran. So much for our English Education. We would believe as authentic Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, think of Hercules as having existed but when we recover the skeletons purported to be that of Kadothgaja, we say it is non sense. 1.In Hindusim most of the Gods mentioned are symbolic representations of the principles of Nature.
Vishnu the Kinetic Energy,Shiva The Potential Energy,Manmatha as the embodiment of sexual desire,Goddess Parvati as the dormant energy of the Macrocosm and the Microcosm.
However, the same principles represented as Gods have also descended to the earth as Avatars.
When an Avatar as a Human Being takes place, the Gods are also bound by the laws applicable to Man.
They undergo the whole process that Man goes through.
So we have Lord Ram and Krishna getting married , having children, winning and losing wars and dying.
If they had not been born( I am not sure my grammar is correct here), they would not have had to undergo the tails and tribulations of Man.
By definition Gods in Hinduism have some basic qualities that qualify their existence.
1.Their feet will not touch the ground.
2.Their eyelids do not blink.
3. Garland adorned by them will not wither away.
4.They do not have sexual intercourse through Genital Organs.
If one notices, Brahma was born out of the navel,Nabhi, of Vishnu,Subrahmanya, Muruga was born of the third Eye of Lord Shiva and Ganapati from essence of Parvati's whole body.
So in the strictest Human sense Sybramanya, Ganapati are not the progeny of Lord Shiva, unlike Lava, Kusa,sons of Lord Ram or Pathyumna or Samba of Lord Krishna.
Technically this is the correct Vedic marriage procedure.

So the objection on these grounds seem to be trivial.
Another difficulty faced by the Boys' parents is that they are used to demanding money from the Bride's side during the Marriage while in the North Indian marriages(at least in Punjabi and Kashmiri at least) the Boys' parents are made to shell out for the bride in the form of more jewellery and gifts to her relatives.
But once these initial hiccups are over, the parents of both he children have become very close and each tries to accommodate the other!
The level of looking after the guests is some thing seen to be believed.
And , irrespective of family misunderstandings, (which family does not have), the relatives rally around and take a personal interest, not delegating things to Agencies, even though they have arranged things through the Agencies.
And I have found the girls, though they are very well employed and hail from well to do families, to be very respectful, easy-going and at ease with the new-found relatives.
Though I am not related to these boys closely they often call me up for no specific reason but to chat and enquire about my family and they in general are good.
But this depends on how one interacts with them.
