  • Shiva Installed By Lord Rama Antarvedi Dakshina Kasi

I am aware of the Linga by Sita and the praying of Rama at Rameswaram, after the killing of Ravana in Lanka to be rid of Brahmahathi Dosha, the sin of killing Brahmin-Ravana was a Brahmin.

I understand that there is a very ancient temple in East Godavari District where there ia Shiva Temple, where Lord Rama is reported to have installed a Shiva Idol.

    Antharvadi Temple Gopuram.jpg
    Antharvadi Lakshinarasimha SwamyTemple Gopuram.

The Churning of the Ocean of Milk ,Samudra Madhanam is believed to have taken place here, according to the Sthala Purana(Temple)

    * There are some controversies on this.I shall be posting articles on this as also the legend of Lord Narasimha at Ahobilam.

The temple is in Antharvadi ,East Godavari District,Andhra Pradesh, India.

This is in the place where Vasishta Godvari, a tributary of Godavari meets the Bay of Bengal.

The main temple is of Lakshminarasimha Swamy.

Antharvadi is known as the second Varanasi, Benares, Dakshina Kasi.

The main temple is of Lakshminarasimha Swamy.

The temple is called as an island temple because of its confluence. This temple is among the rarities as the main Deity i.e. Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy(one of the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu) who faces towards West instead of East (usual direction of other temples in India) constructed between the 15th and 16th centuries. This is 32 kshetra of 108 Narashima kshetrams. It is a temple of 5 storeyed Vimana Gopuram. As one enters the temple one can Garuda on one side and Bhaktha Anjaneya on the other side of temple entrance. While approaching “Garbha Gudi” (Sanctum Sanctorum) one can see an adorable “Vatapatra Sayi” (Lord Krishna on a palm leaf) on its roof. The idol is made from a single stone. In the Garbha Gudi, one can have a darshan of the magnificient Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy with his Consort Goddess Lakshmi Devi on his lap.

After the darshan, one has to go around the sanctum, as there are different deities. On the east side of the prakaram(wall), is Goddess Rajyalakshmi and Lord Venkateshwara, to the north side is Bhoodevi and Ranganadha Swamy, to the west side of the prakaram is Santhana Gopala Swamy and Keshava Swamy, and finally to the south side of the prakaram is the Acharyas and Alwars sannidhi(small temples) and Chaturbhuja (four-armed) Anjaneya. Apart from the presiding Deity, Lord Narasimha Swamy, there are also Deities of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. A temple of Neelakanteshwara (Lord Shiva) is also present which is located at the other side, almost nearer to the bank of Godavari, also called, Vasishta Godavari is a must see. This deity was installed by Lord Sri Rama and is said to be worshipped by Brahma himself.

Devotees interested in paying a visit to the place may book their accommodation at TTD Choultry, Antarvedi, at nominal rates of Rs 200/- and 600/- for Non A/c and A/c Rooms respectively. They can be contacted through this number:- (08862)259313. Also the Anna Danam programme is conducted every day within the temple premises. • Alien Evidence Mahabalipuram India

The rock carvings on Mahabalipuram in Tamil Nadu is reported to have been made by Mahendra Varma Pallava of the Pallava Dynasty and this was continued by

his son Narasimha Pallava.( 7 and 8th Century AD)

There are some interesting features that need explanation as they bear a striking resemblance to our conceptions of Space Travel,UFO and Aliens.

A rocket space craft at the center of the tower.Mahabalipuram India.jpg
A Rocket spacecraft, with a wide base and an a sharp aerodynamic top stands erect on the temple tower. Notice the similarity of the design to our modern day rockets sent into space. Remember that these carvings were done 1200 years ago, although we know that the first rocket spacecraft was launched only in 1957.

A closeup of a fire breathing lion's face - Do you see two astronauts facing each other?jpg
A closeup of a fire breathing lion’s face – Do you see two astronauts facing each other? Let us ignore the fire and look closely at the face of the lion. Is it a face of the lion, or do you see two people facing each other? These two humanoids are wearing helmets and are enclosed tightly in a pod. Their facial features are not visible, because they would be wearing glass visers, similar to a modern day astronaut. They also wear a complete body suit which has 2 small projections resembling pincers.
A modern day astronaut - The visor would conceal his face, just as seen in the carvings.jpg
A modern day astronaut – The visor would conceal his face, just as seen in the carvings Take a look at the modern day astronaut’s visor. If a modern day sculptor were to carve this, how would he show the facial features?

Overworking imagination or are we missing something?

  • Prahlada Born In Multan Pakistan

I recently wrote an article ‘No Avatar of Vishnu Shiva In South Why‘.

There , as the title implies, there seems to be no Avatar of Vishnu and Shiva in the South.

I have receive a spate of comments in the Facebook community, curiously none from the readers of my blog directly.

These quoted verses in Tamil stating that the Narasimha Avatar took place in Ahobilam,Andhra Pradesh.

There is also an Ukra Sthamba, the pillar from where Lord Narasimha manifested.

I have provided these comments towards the close of the Post.

I had visited the place and there is a Post on this.

I did not strike me then.

There are comments that the Kalki Avatar will take place in South India.

That the Narasimha Avatar took  place in Ahobilam is referred in the Koorma Purana.

I checked  the Koorma  Purana and the more detailed one the Vishnu Purana.

There seems to be no mention of the place of Hiranyakasipu‘s specifically , though there is a detailed description of  his palace.

There is also the reference of Hirayaksha brother of Hiranya having been killed by Varaha in Eastern Nepal.

Varahakshetra, at the confluence of the Saptakoshi and Koka rivers, is 20 km from a town in eastern Nepal – Dharan. . Here, the Boar- Varaha,

an incarnation of Lord Vishnu has been said to have killed the demon-Hiranyaksha.”

There are also other Temples dedicated to Narasimha near Kathmandu, Nepal.

Considering the genealogy of Daksha and Hirannya, it looks that these Kings must have lived in the north of the Vindhyas, somewhere near the foothills

    of the Himalayas.

    Prahaladapuri Temple.Image.jpg.
    Prahaladapuri Temple.

Now there is a reference to Prahalada, son of Hiranyakasipu having built the city f Multan In Pakistan.

According to the opinion of some historians, Prahlada Maharaja was born in Treta-yuga in the city of Multan, in the state of Punjab. He was born of Hiranyakashipu, a king of the dynasty of Kashyapa. Prahlada Maharaja was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, but his father was very much against Vishnu. Because the father and son thus differed in their consciousness, the demon father inflicted all kinds of bodily pain upon Prahlada. When this torture became intolerable, the Supreme Lord appeared as Narasimhadeva and killed the great demon Hiranyakashipu… – Sri Chaitanya-caritamrita, Antya 9.10

Prahladpuri Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located in Multan (now in Pakistan), earlier known as Kashyapapur. It is named after Prahlada and dedicated to Lord Narasimha. The temple of Prahladpuri is said to have been built by Prahlada Maharaj in honor of Lord Narasimha.

The Prahladapuri temple like the Sun Temple of Multan had been destroyed after Muslim conquest of Multan, suffered several material losses and was reduced to a nondescript shrine by the 19th century.

The temple was built on a high platform inside Multan Fort, adjacent to tomb of Hazrat Baha’ul Haq Zakariya, and was before 1992 a prominent landmark of Multan. It had a main hall, circumlocutory and skylights and a large mandapa. The central hall had a replica of the deity under a baldachin (a luxurious type of cloth from Bagdad). Adjacent to temple was dharamshala complex.

    ..

Traditions, however, claim that the original temple was a columnar structure and both the roof and the columns supporting it were made of pure gold. It is further stated that for some unknown reason, this entire building sank into ground and over it was built a new temple.

After the partition of India, many Hindus migrated and the affairs of temple were managed by minority Hindus of city. The original deity of Lord Narasimha was brought to India by Baba Narayan Das Batra from Multan at the time of partition in 1947. The deity is now at Haridwar (Narasimhadham Road).

In 1992, the temple was completely destroyed by mob in retaliation of news of Babri Masjid demolition in India. Many peaceful protests were held by minority organizations and have requested the government of Pakistan to restore this ancient temple of importance

    .

I am checking the Puranas for clarity.

Readers may send their information with references from The Vedas and Puranas.

I am not sure about the authenticity of the Sthala  Puranas as some of thm are blatantly at variance with the Puranas.

A Post on this subject follows..

More curious Vasishta is from South India follows.

    Prahladapuri Temple.

The original temple of Prahladpuri is said to have been built by Prahlad, son of Hiranyakashipu, the king of Multan (Kashya-papura)[1] in honor of Narsing Avatar, an incarnation of Hindu god Vishnu, who emerged from the pillar to save Prahlada.[2][3][4][5]

The Prahladapuri temple like the Sun Temple of Multan had been destroyed after Muslim conquest of Multan, suffered several material losses and was reduced to a nondescript shrine by the 19th century.

It is located on top of a raised platform inside the Fort of Multan, adjacent to tomb of Hazrat Baha’ul Haq Zakariya.

A mosque has subsequently built adjacent to temple.[6] The records suggested by Dr. A.N. Khan say that temple was once rebuilt in decade of 1810, when area was under rule of Sikhs.

However, Alexander Burnes, who visited the temple in 1831, said that he found it deserted and without a roof. Later, in year 1849, when British laid siege of Multan Fort against Mul Raj, a shell fired by British army fell on gunpowder store within the fort, thus destroying almost all of the fort except the mausoleums of Bahauddin Zakaria and his sons and the Prahladpuri temple complex. …

However, the temple was soon rebuilt by then prosperous Hindu community of Multan and was managed by the community, who regulated Mahant of Prahladpuri temple.

After the partition of India, many Hindus migrated and the affairs of temple were managed by minority Hindus of city.

The original idols of Lord Narasimha was brought to India by Baba Narayan Das Batra from Multan at the time of partition in 1947.

They are now placed in a temple at Haridwar.

In 1992, the temple was completely destroyed by mob in retaliation of news of Babri Masjid demolition in India.(Wiki)

  • Varaha Kshetra Where Varaha Killed Hiranyaksha

Of the Avatars of Lord Vishnu, Varaha,Vamana and Parasurma are the least talked about, as compared to Rama and Krishna.

My assumption is that the Life story of Rama and Krishna are adventurous and are emphasized by Man, the Varaha and Vamana appeal more to fantasy,

because of the unimaginable feats,(though the Avatars are not Fantasies)..

In the case of Parasurama, world loves a Winner , even if it be God.

As a footnote, I may add that the Avatars of Vishnu where He appears as a Brahmin are least popular and talked about!

    Take Vamana, Parasurama.

Another Proof that Brahmins have not concocted the Purans.

    Narasimha killing Hiranyakasipu.image.jpg.
    Narasimha killing Hiranyakasipu.

Lord Vishnu took the Avatar of Varaha, a wild Boar, to kill Hirayaksha, brother of Hiranyakasipu.

Hiranyaksha rolled the Vedas and hid them under the Ocean.

The Varaha dug deep, restored the Vedas and killed Hirayaksha.

The place Varaha killed Hiranyakasipu is in Nepal, V(B0araha Kshetra.

  • Prayer For Court Financial Problems

A Reader had sent an email asking me for mantras for relief from a Court Case and relief from financial harassment, ruination .

If the facts of the case presented are true, then the following Mantra will certainly alleviate the problem.

The sloka I am reproducing below is a very rare one as it is by Sri Rudra on Lord Narasimha.

    Lakshmi Narasimha
    Sri Lakshmi Narasimha

I am not aware of any other Deity being praised by Rudra,( not Siva)

This Mantra is called as the King of Mantra , Mantra Rajapatham.

Begin reciting the mantra on any waxing day of the Moon‘ preferably on the fourth day,Chaturthi , in the morning.

If you know Ganpathy Mantras recite a few of them, at least one.

Then recite the following mantra, Eleven Times a day for 45 days.

As Naivedyam, offer freshly cooked Curd rice.

On the day of completion, if you can afford, you may donate Dhoti and Angavastram or Saree and Blouse piece for the deserving, especially poor and

    feed them.
