I have received requests for Tamil Text of Tharpana Mantras to enable one to follow the Mantras.
I am posting these Mantras.
I will be posting the meanings shortly.
I am asked to provide Tamil Tharpana Procedure as set by Agastya.
These are different from Apasthamba Sutra Tharpana in Sanskrit.

I want to know why, people use vazhaikai ( plantain green) during amavasai and give rice and plantain during those days. Can u give reason for it.? Younger generation asks such question? Thanks. V. Narayanan.
Vazhakkai is bing offered as Plantain tree is such a tree whose every part is useful to others.Nothing is wasted from Leaf,Stem,Fruit.
It is an example of sacifice for others, by giving out what all it has.The sense of Sacrifice y paretns is remeered by offering Vazhakkai.
