This is a strange way to try and link two things that are not linked.
I’m part Dutch, part English with a sound understanding of German, and this post indicates you know none.
For example, your take on Amsterdam is baffling.
To assume that this has some ring of truth to it, one would have to assume that Amsterdam existed before the Germanic people’s had their own belief system in order for the name to carry over. If Amsterdam existed after that period, it did not get its name from an ancient source. Well, Amsterdam is a new city in the scheme of things, only being founded around the 13th Century AD. And it in fact gets it’s name more logically, from a nearby river. The river is called the Amstel. This river gets its name from the fact that it was a place where the river had a strong current, from ‘ama’ (a current) and ‘stelle’ (place). A small fishing village built up around it around 13th Century called Amstelredam, the dam being the Dutch word for a water defense, and so it was quite literally the village by the dam on the Amstel.
In fact, none of the European ones are even close.
Danube is named after literally the Celtic word for a river, as the Celts used to live there, the Irish even named their river Goddess Danu.
Deutschland is in fact a relatively new word, being actual German from Dietsch-land, meaning the nation, or land of the people (Dietch is old German for the people).
German comes from the Latin name of the region, Germania. And just to hit home that Germany in name or otherwise has no other connection, just think that nearly every country has another name for the country, all after the tribes that used to live there. Germany was simply chosen after the Roman name for the region.
Heidelberg literally means Bilberry hill in German.
Stein comes from Proto-Indo-European st(y)oy, meaning a hard material (which makes more sense than your explanation).
Rome comes from possibly the Umbian ‘roma’, which means river.
Budapest is another relative new one, since it only got its name by the joining of two separate towns, Buda and Pest.
Paris was named after a tribe that the Romans encountered there called the Parisii.
And Scandinavia is from Proto-Germanic *skadinaujo, which means Scadia island.
All of those come from a much later period than you propose with their names coming mainly from Germanic, Celtic or Latin, which are all languages that split from Proto-Indo-European, meaning the names came after the modern Europeans settled there.
Absurd European . Just to let you know German language came from Sanskrit . When European were naked, Indians were wearing silk and cotton clothes
