Satyamev Jayate, Porn on TV?Aamir You have A child?

Satyamev Jayate, anchored by Aamir Khan in Star Plus  TV Channel,seems to have picked up momentum, judging by the TRP ratings.

This programme is supposed to address social problems.

The episode  dealing with Homosexuality of a man  was vulgar to say the least.

Under the garb of exposing the problems faced by men in terms of sexual harassment, the show  vividly describes the act of Fellatio and anal intercourse.

The victim explains how he was abused at an early age and on being asked as to how he felt(?) then went on to describe that his nerves were taut and… the molester forced his……

While one is totally taken aback at the trauma the child would have undergone, one fails to understand why the show was allowed to be telecast with vivid description of the act.

Adults can understand what the victim is trying to say.

But what about the children watching?

How does a parent reply?

Aamir Khan advises patronisingly’ This could happen/have happened to you.

Do not be afraid to tell your parents”

Seemingly good.

But how about children who do not know any thing about this?

Would not children attempt this, out of curiosity?

Yesteryear heroine Sridevi comes on the screen and sympathises with the participant!

Aamir, I hope has children.

How does he plan to handle his child?

Raakhi Sawant’s show is nothing when compared to this.

The Government banned the broadcasting of an episode during day time.

How about this programme?

The Government could at least ask these people to be more careful in descriptions.

I fear the day when they will telecast lesbianism,  Gang-bang ,all in vivid detail,may be with illustrations!

    Sir, I should have agreed to what you claimed up there, but it didn’t sound any right!
    Firstly, the show brought up such a sensitive topic, and i believe they did a justice to it by displaying it in the most decent possible way. If it really bothers you and others, with all respect i would like you to raise voice against Bollywood movies and comedy shows that openly talk about sex, and I am sure if kids would question watching Satyamev Jayate, they definitely are going to get more curious with vulgar shows aired all the time on prime channels at prime times and repeated on news channels!

    And Your fear they will telecast lesbianism? sorry sir, homosexuality is a major topic, and it is not sin, it is natural. I wish they come up with it soon. Please open up, its for good.
    sorry if that sounded rude, i was just being assertive.

    I would have to disagree with you! Personally I do not find anything ‘vulgar’ about this. The topic itself mentions clearly that they are going to talk about sexual abuse. It is like people going to watch an ‘A’ certified movie. They know it is meant only for adults, yet watch the whole film, and then at the end say ‘Arrey, chhee, dirty film’!!!! This is reality, it happens to people out there, under our very noses. It could happen to any child. Mine. Yours. Anyone’s. Yes, we could, as parents, change the channel. And our kids would immediately know that there is something taboo about it. That would make them curious. It is hypocrisy that we cannot talk about sexual abuse because it is taboo in our culture, to speak about it.

      You may be right.
      The fact that children get curious is because there is something that is prohibited.
      In A films, the chances of children watching in a theatre are less as compared to Tv.
      Well, then there is internet.
      The best we can do is not to provide them more opportunities and it is embarrassing for parents to explain Taboo to children.
      yes, children will know all these.
      Let’s not contribute more.
      Has Aamir discussed Homosexuality with his children?
      Look at Shah Rukh Khan.
      He talks about Sex education ans Free sex .
      The moment a security man frisks his children he assaults them..
      All of us have two standards.
      One concerning our sisters, wives and children and another for others!

    Samir did mention that succeeding sections could be unsuitable or kids and asked parents to send kids to next room. He has spoken about a taboo subject but I think that parents needs to confront this. It is a very dirty and dangerous world out there for kids.

      You are right.
      This programme is not going to change any thing, excepting to titillate the sex starved and make money for the producers.
      Doctors and parents can advise children better.
