It was SUN TV who aired the News along with the Audio to-day at 7 pm news.
At the moment of this post the audio was not available in the net.
As I recollect a male voice promised to settle the amount to the other ,reported to be Judge in a week, and a lady’s voice intervened saying ‘ Periyava has given his word.He will keep it up’
I could hear a lot of background noises in the audio.
In the absence of the audio not available on the net despite it being aired by SUN TV, the quality of recording and the fact that Kanimozhi, through her lawyer had come out in the Court stating that Manmohan Singh and P.Chidambaram were present in the meet on 2G scam allocation and they were not in favor of the 2G licences being auctioned or sold and she had minutes in her possession to back her claim makes this audio suspect.
The timing makes of the Audio, Kanimozhi’s statement and the fact that none in his right mind would speak of these negotiations over phone makes me wonder if this is not planted and forged!
Kanchi Acharya Jayendra Saraswati, facing trial in the Sankararaman murder case, is caught in a fresh controvery as a petition was filed in Madras High Court, alleging that he struck a deal with Trial court judge in Puducherry to get acquittal. Presenting an audio-cassette, purportedly, containing the conversation between the Acharya and Puducherry Sessions Court judge Ramasamy, one Mr Sundarajan filed the petition, seeking a direction to probe the matter. The purported conversation between the Acharya and the Judge, played by a leading Tamil Satellite Channel, a male voice was heard saying he would settle the full amount within a week and other male voice saying he will take care .
