ఈ పూజ, దీనికి ముందు చేయవలసిన నాలుగు ఇతర పూజలతో పాటు, సుమారు 45 నిమిషాల సమయం పడుతుంది, అయితే ఇది భౌతికంగా మరియు ఆధ్యాత్మికంగా ఏ ఇతర పూజ కంటే మరింత ప్రభావవంతంగా ఉంటుంది.
మీరు తూర్పు వైపు కూర్చుని, ఎగువ త్రిభుజం యొక్క కొన మీ వైపు చూపినప్పుడు, శ్రీచక్రం యొక్క దిగువ కుడి చేతి వైపు మూలలో గణేశుడు నివసిస్తాడు. దిగువ ఎడమ చేతి మూలలో సూర్య భగవానుడు నివసిస్తున్నాడు. ఎగువ ఎడమ మూలలో విష్ణువు, ఎగువ కుడి మూలలో శివుడు నివసిస్తున్నారు. నవ-అవరాణాల పూజ ప్రారంభించే ముందు వాటిని పూజించాలి.
ఆ తరువాత ఎనిమిది ప్రాధమిక దిశలను ఎనిమిది లోకపాలలు కాపలాగా ఉంచుతాయి. ఇంద్రుడు తూర్పును కాపలాగా, అగ్ని ఆగ్నేయాన్ని కాపలాగా, యమ దక్షిణాన్ని కాపలాగా, నిరితి నైరుతి పశ్చిమాన్ని కాపలాగా, వరుణ పశ్చిమాన్ని కాపలాగా, వాయు ఈశాన్య ప్రాంతాన్ని కాపలాగా, సోమా ఉత్తరాన్ని కాపలాగా, ఇషానా ఈశాన్య ప్రాంతాన్ని కాపలాగా ఉంచుతారు.

Built in a potentially deliberate and curious location, the temple’s sanctum is underwater for most of the year and shows a significant tilt, leading to its nickname the ‘Leaning Temple of Varanasi’. Evidence from paintings and documentation confirms the temple’s historic inclination.
