இன்று முதல், திராவிட இயக்க நூற்றாண்டு விழா துவங்குகிறது எனக் கூறி, அன்று சென்னையில், கருணாநிதி தலைமையில், கட்சி அலுவலகத்தில் விழா எடுப்பதாக தி.மு.க., அறிவித்துள்ளது. இதற்கு, பல்வேறு தமிழர் அமைப்புகளில் இருந்தும் கடும் எதிர்ப்பு எழுந்துள்ளது.
பிரிவினையை ஏற்றது ஏன்?
அவர்கள் எழுப்பும் கேள்விகள் இவை தான்:தெலுங்கு, தமிழ், கன்னடம், மலையாளம், துளு ஆகிய மொழிகள் எல்லாம் திராவிட மொழிகள்; அம்மொழி பேசும் மக்கள் திராவிட மக்கள் என்றால், தென்னகத்தில், மொழி வாரி மாநிலங்கள் பிரிவினையை ஏற்றது ஏன்?அப்படி பிரித்தது, மற்ற மொழி பேசும் மக்களின் விருப்பம் என்றால், தெலுங்கு நாடு, கன்னட நாடு, மலையாள நாடு என, மற்ற மாநிலங்கள் பெயர் சூடிக் கொள்ளாத நிலையில், மிச்சமிருந்த சென்னை மாகாணத்துக்கு திராவிட நாடு எனப் பெயர் சூட்டாமல், தமிழ்நாடு என, தி.மு.க., பெயர் சூட்டியது ஏன்? அப்படி என்றால், தமிழக மக்கள், திராவிடர்கள் என்ற தங்கள் கொள்கையை, தி.மு.க.,வே ஏற்கவில்லை என்று தானே பொருள்.
அடைமொழி எதற்கு?
தமிழகத்தைப் போல், ஆந்திராவிலோ, கர்நாடகத்திலோ, கேரளாவிலோ திராவிடம் என்ற பெயரால், இயக்கங்கள் தலையெடுக்காத நிலையில், யாரும் தங்களை திராவிடர்கள் எனக் கூறிக் கொள்ளாத நிலையில், தி.க.,வின் வழி வந்த கட்சிகள் மட்டும் இன்னும், திராவிடர் எனும் அடைமொழியை தூக்கி சுமப்பது ஏன்?திராவிடர் என்ற சொல்லை இன்னும் ஒரு சிலர் தாங்கிப் பிடிக்க காரணம் என்னவென்று ஆராய்ந்தால், அதற்கு, பா.ம.க., நிறுவனர் ராமதாஸ் ஏற்கனவே கூறிய உதாரணம் பெருமளவு பொருந்துகிறது. “தமிழகத்தில் ஒரு சில பச்சைத் தமிழர்கள் மட்டுமே முதல்வராக இருந்துள்ளனர். கருணாநிதி வம்சாவளியினர் ஆந்திராவை பூர்வீகமாகக் கொண்டவர்கள். முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா மைசூரில் பிறந்த தமிழர். வைகோ, விஜயகாந்த் இருவரும் தெலுங்கை தாய் மொழியாகக் கொண்டவர்கள். எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., கண்டியில் பிறந்த மலையாள மொழி பேசுபவர்’ என்ற அவரது கூற்றை ஏற்க வேண்டியுள்ளது.”

The seeds of the Dravidian movement was not even thought of in 1911/12.
The earliest inkling was in 1914, when Natesa Mudaliar established a Hostel for non-Brahmin students.

Later this developed into the Self-Respect Movement,Justice part,DK , DMK etc.
Hence, celebrating the Dravidian Centenary in 2012 is sheer non sense.
Of course, this is not new to Karunanidhi who celebrates Anna’s birth day on a different Date at ‘Arivaalayam’ !
The core tenets of Dravidian Movements are.
Anti Sanskrit.
Anti North .
Pan SouthIndia.
Self respect!?
Of the lot Anti Brahminism alone survives in the mind of Karunanidhi,Veera mani and their sycophants; that too this comes to the fore when Karunanidhi loses elections and when he wants to curry favour with Muslims and Christians during Ramzan and Christmas.
The very concept of Dravidian Movement is a fraud to capture power by flotsam and jetsam of Society under the guise of Social Reformation and Self-Respect( as if none else has it than the protagonists!)
‘Dravida’ comes from the Sanskrit root ‘Dravid’ meaning South.
It denotes people living south of the Vindhyas.
It is a Geographical indicator and an indication of Race as these fraudsters make it to be.
The reference may be found in the Vedas and as late as Adi Sankara who says ,to refer to Gnana Sambandar, ‘Dravida Sisu’-Soundarya Lahari.
This Dravidians are to encompass the Tamils,Telugus,Kannadigas and Malayalis.
None of these people subscribed to this idea and Tamil Nadu stood alone(not Tamil Nadu but these charlatans whom pose as the protectors of Tamil.
Does it not sound funny that the leading luminaries of the so called movement were Telugus.Malayalis and Kannadigas (Pitti Theagaraya Chetty,T.M.Nair) after whom T.Nagar in Chennai is named and is till called as such,Nair Road is also in T.Nagar)?
‘Thanthai’ Periyar( E.V.Ramasamy Naicker is a Kannadiga who called Tamil as ‘the language of the barbarians’
Karunanidhi’s ancestors can be traced to Andhra as also Annadurai’s.
I had the privilege of being acquainted with late Mr.Parimalam, the adopted son of late C.N.Annadurai and he has told me that his ancestry can be traced to Andhra!
MGR was of Kerala origin.
Where is Dravidianism in this?
To day Brahmins are where they were,going about their work hurting none , not demanding resevations.
( It is true that there were exceptions in the treatment meted out to non- Brahmins in Thanjavur belt which is more of a clash between the land lords and the workers and these land Lords were Brahmins and the Brahmin Community is ashamed of them).
Self Respect?
You know what they are left with-going to jail for scams,bigamy, murder cases against them,ridicules all around the Country on The Family!
Other than these aberration,Brahmins have contributed to Tamil and Tamil Culture.

Day in and day out you can see these Leaders prostrating at the feet of Noth Indian, be it Sonia Gandhi or Vajpayee.
Karunaidhi will wait in wheel chair for hours to have a darshan of of Sonia Gandhi.
These leaders gave up the call for separate Tamil Nadu once they came to know that the Central Government was planning to ban the DMK for Secessionist Activities.
