The latest batch of MPs’ expenses claims have been released online leading to fresh embarrassment for senior politicians.
This is accounted money.How much did they get for extending ‘temporary loan’ to Royal Bank of Scotland, with out public knowledge or parliament approval?
Prime Minister Gordon Brown is among them – he has paid back £500 he claimed for painting a summer house.
All claims for the past financial year, and their supporting receipts, are being raked over after they were uploaded to the web by the House of Commons.

Conservative MP for Hampshire North East James Arbuthnot has produced some of the most colourful claims so far, including £43 for three garlic peeling and cutting sets.
