Nine Ocean Temples Nava Samudra Sthalas Tamil Nadu

Temples in India,apart from being architectural wonders,astronomically aligned,are also classified thus

Five Elements Temples, (Panchabootha Sthalas),

Panchakrosa Sthalas,

Pancha Peeta Sthalas,

Pancha linga Sthalas,

Shakti Peeta Sthalas,

Pancha Asana Sthalas(Five Seats) Tri(three)Sthalas,

Pancha Sabhas and

Nava(9)Samudra (Ocean Sthalas).

These classifications are based on,

The Five Elements of Nature,

Special places where Lord Shiva Dances,

Five Shiva Lingas,

Five Seated Sthalas,

Places Goddess Shaktis body parts fell.

And we have Paadal Petra Sthalas, temples praised by saints,

108 Divya Kshetras,

Vaippu Sthalas,Added because of special presence.

I have written on Five elements temples, Panchakrosa Sthalas, Shakti peetas,Geographically aligned Sthalas,Astronomically aligned Sthalas and special effect temples.

Many unique Temples are in Thirunelveli and Kanyakumari Districts,Tamil Nadu.

River Tamrabarani flows here.

This is an ancient river that flowed in Lemuria,which is Three Million years old!

Though I have written on some of these temples and Thirunelveli, I have not written much.

Nava Samudra Sthalas, Nine Temples related to Ocean.

These are in Thirunelveli District,Tamil Nadu, India.

Nellaiappar temple, Thirunelveli.

They are,

  1. அம்பாசமுத்திரம்,Ambasamudram,
  2. ரவணசமுத்திரம்,Ravana Samudram,
  3. வீராசமுத்திரம்,Veera Samudram,
  4. அரங்கசமுத்திரம்,Aranga Samudram,
  5. தளபதிசமுத்திரம்,Thalapathy Samudram,
  6. வாலசமுத்திரம்,Vala Samudram
  7. கோபாலசமுத்திரம்,
  8. வடமலைசமுத்திரம் (பத்மனேரி),Vadamalai Samudram,
  9. ரத்னகாராசமுத்திரம்,Thiruchendur (திருச்செந்தூர்)Ratnakara Samudram.
