With Thirty Million  Manuscripts existing even today,Sanskrit is the oldest Language of the world and the Rig Veda which is in Sanskrit is the oldest literature of the world.

There is a view that the Hitti Language is older than Sanskrit.

    Not so.

I shall be posting on this  an article(‘ https://ramanisblog.in/2015/02/04/thirty-million-manuscripts-700-poetic-meters-amazing-sanskrit/)

The Sanskrit language, whatever be its antiquity, is of a wonderful structure; more perfect than the Greek, more copious than the Latin, and more exquisitely refined than either, yet bearing to both of them a stronger affinity, both in the roots of verbs and in the forms of grammar, than could possibly have been produced by accident; so strong indeed, that no philologer could examine them all three without believing them to have sprung from some common source, which, perhaps, no longer exists.’ william Jones.

Old Latin, also known as Early Latin and Archaic Latin, refers to the Latin language in the period before 75 BC, i.e. before the age of Classical Latin.[2] In New and Contemporary Latin, it is called prisca Latinitas (“ancient Latin”) rather than vetus Latina (“old Latin”) as the latter is used to refer to a set of Biblical texts.(wiki)

But Sanskrit was used during the period of Ramayana and the language was in use much earlier as the Vedas were learnt during Ramayana.

Hence it should predate Ramayana at least by 2000 yeas to attain the level of  maturity.

And the Rig veda is dated to 5000 BC and it recorded as the oldest literature of Humans.

Now Rama date is 5114 BC.

Luv and Kush grew in his ashram as his disciples. We need to be proud of the fact that Valmiki was perhaps the first great astronomer and that his study of planetary configurations has stood the test of times. Even the latest computer softwares have corroborated his astronomical calculations, which proves that he did not commit any error.

Shabri is stated to be belonging to the Bhil tribe. Shri Rams’ army, which succeeded in defeating Ravana, was formed by various tribes from Central and South India.

Taking into account these details the Birth date of Lord Rama  is January 10 in the year 5114 BC.

(Ramayana Lord Rama’s Exile Date  and other details .

Hence Sanskrit dates to at least 7000 BC.

Therefore Sanskrit is older than Latin.

Wait, there is some more information.

The word Tamil in Tamil Languagesvg.png

Tamil /ˈtæmɪl/[10] (தமிழ், tamiḻ[t̪ɐmɨɻ] ?) also spelt Tamizh is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by Tamil people ofTamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. It has official status in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu,[11] Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Tamil is also an official and national language of Sri Lanka[12] and one of the official languages of Singapore.[13] It is legalised as one of the languages of medium of education in Malaysia along with English, Malay and Mandarin.[14][15] It is also chiefly spoken in the states of Kerala, Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a secondary language and by minorities in Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India and was the first Indian language to be declared a classical language by the Government of India in 2004. Tamil is also spoken by significant minorities inMalaysia, England, Mauritius, Canada,[16] South Africa,[17] Fiji,[18] Germany,[19] Philippines, United States, Netherlands,Indonesia,[20] Réunion and France as well as emigrant communities around the world.

Tamil is one of the longest surviving classical languages in the world.[21][22] 2,200-year-old Tamil-Brahmi inscriptions have been found on Samanamalai It has been described as “the only language of contemporary India which is recognizably continuous with a classical past.

The fact that Tamil Kings were mentioned in the Ramayana and Mahabharata would enable one to date tamil around, again 7000 BC, at a conservative estimate.

The archaeological finds from Attirappakkam northeast of Chennai evidences the existence of Tamils about a million years ago!

“The prehistoric period during which Lower Paleolithic settlements existed in the Tamil Nadu region has been estimated to span the period from about 1,510,000 BCE[1] until around 3000 BCE.[2] For most part of the lower Paleolithic stage, humans lived close to river valleys with sparse forest cover or in grassland environments. The population density was very low and so far only two localities of this lower Palaeolithic culture have been found insouth India. One of these is in Attirampakkam valley in the northwest of Chennai in Tamil Nadu.[3] Archaeological research has uncovered evidence of fossil remains of animals and primitive stone implements around the northern Tamil Nadu that could be dated to belong to around 3000,000 BCE.[citation needed]Humans inSouth India, belonging to the species of Homo erectus, lived in this primitive ‘old stone age’ (Palaeolithic) for quite a long time, using only crude implements such as hand axes and choppers and subsisting as hunter-gatherers“(wiki)

The Tamil History based on this, Tamil Literature,Sanskrit Literature and Arikkamedu findings,Puducherry is between   15,000 BCE to 10,000 BCE.

Such an old civilization quotes Sanskrit and Vedic Literature .

But we are dating the Vedas around 5000 BC.

If the Sangam period , Muthal Sangam, at 500 BC is true, how is it that the Purana, which are earlier by at least by 4000 years, quote Tamils, Tamil Kings?

    https://ramanisblog.in/2013/12/27/million-year-old-tamil-quotes-vedas-they-quote-tamil/)

People who call themselves scholars conveniently overlook these facts in assigning dates to Tamil and Sanskrit.

It would be fair to state, based on the available evidence that,

Sanskrit and Tamil date earlier to Latin and

as to the question “Which one is earlier, Tamil or Sanskrit?’,

I am unable to establish on the basis of available evidence as each language quotes the other.

One might state that , as of now, that Sanskrit and Tamil are the oldest languages of Humans .

  • Shiva Is Goddess Ziva Of Slavs Poland Czechoslavakia

I have written as to how the Celts declare themselves as the Tribes/Peoples of Danu, Danube being a River in memory of Danu, wife of Sage Kashyapa.

Also that there is an ancient cave found in Germany, containing the figure of Narasimha,Lord Vishnu’s Avatar.

Now there is more about Hindu Gods and Goddesses in the western Pantheon.

Lord Shiva is worshiped as Goddess Ziva by the Slav People of Poland, Czechoslavakia, East  Germany.

She is also called Shiwa, and in modern Polish Sheeva.

Other forms of the names are Sivve, Shiwa, Sieba, Syeba, Siba and Dsiva.(Znayenko, pp. 75, 220).

Twelve Fridays of a year are marked for Her worship.(Hubbs, p. 117).

The meaning of the word Siva is Auspiciousness, Mangalam.

Shiva is not to be confused with Rudra, as Amsa of Shiva.

Rudra is the chief of the Ekadasa Rudras.

He is described as Ferocious and anger prone.

    Sri Rudram starts with,

    ‘On namo Bhagavate Rudraaya,

    Namsthe Rudramanyave”

    My Salutations  to Rudra,

who is the embodiment of anger,

    My Salutaions to Him’

He is the god of Destruction, while Braham is the God of Creation, Vishnu the Protector.

Shiva is different as Vishnu is different from Narayana.

    Shiva has five functions.

    Srushti(Creation), Stithi(Protection or Maintanence), Samahara(Destruction). Thirodhaaana(Hiding) and Anugraha( Benevolence).

Shiva is the Kinetic energy while Sakthi is the potentian Energy.

    Shiva without Sakthi is useless.

In Tamil there is a saying Shiva without Sakthi(in Tamil this word also means Power) is a Sava, A corpse.

It is Sakthi who contributes to the Power of Shiva.

    Lalitha Sahasranama calls Her as,

pancha Pretha Manchaathi Saayini’ one who rests on Five Corpses.

Please read my post onDevi worship on the meaning of this.

This sakthi is a part of Shiva and occupies the Left side of Shiva.

This is seen in Ardhanaareswara Form of Shiva.

Bhavani is an Amsa of Sakthi.

The word Bhavani springs from the Sanskrit word “BHU,  BHUVA ,-“to live, be, exist”

    It also means “being, existence’

This alludes to Being, Being Born, offspring and fertility.

n Slovakia, the equivalent to Siva is life-goddess Zivena, who is counterposed with chief god Praboh (Jones and Pennick, p. 187). His name means “(original) primitive god” (Konus, p. 906).

    Interrelated Sanskrit words:

PRA- (prefix): “before, in front”, and therefore, “first, original”; BHU, #1 BHU’, #2 BHU’: “becoming, being, produced, live”. All are the root words of BHAVA/BHAVANI
—PRA-BHU*, “excelling, powerful, lord”, a name of Shiva.

The name itself means “before-living”, in other words, “original God”.

It obtains the concept of “excelling, powerful” exactly in the same way that Eng. PRIME implies “the best”.
—PRA-BHU/PRA-[root] BHU-, -BHAVATI, “originate from, be powerful/master.”
—PRA-BHAVA*, “excelling, production, origin, Creator (“might, power”=PRA-BHAVA) (Monier-Williams)

A picture of Siva shows her with a sun-disk behind her head (admittedly, not an unusual occurrence for ancient deities). And there is mention of Siwa/Syuna, a goddess of the Western Polabi (Hastings, vol. 11, p. 594).

    Zhiva: “..…

“There persisted another religious rite more closely related to Procopius’s account of the veneration of nymphs. This religion appears to have had no organized priesthood. It revolved around the goddess called Zhiva by the Elbe Slavs.

The ceremonies were performed by the whole community in the depths of the forests [like the Baiga and Savaras of Northern India, who believe fully in forest spirits. (Hastings, vol. 2, p. 333; vol. 7, p. 214}] and in places where land and water met. (Hubbs, pp.12-13).

“Chroniclers, who confirm Procopius’s earlier observations, refer to the river, lake, and forest nymphs as BEREGINY.” (from BEREGINA, “earth, shore”). BEREGINY represent the fertility goddesses (Ibid, pp.14-15).

The role of diety of guardianship/family/ household is shared by Bhavani, Prabha and the BEREGINY (Kinsley, pp. 109 and 110; Ann and Imel. p. 291; Hubbs, p. 13).

In a similar vein, Shiva-Bhava is the “presiding diety of the waters” (Gupta, p.15).

Banaras/Benares, known as Shiva’s City, is referred to as the center of Earth, “this shore,” on the Ganges River and is an embodiment of the goddess Kashi (“shining, sun”. Cf. Hebrew names Ziva or Zivah, (“shining, radiant”).

Kashi is a counterpart to Bhavani and is a shakti of Shiva (Eck, pp.159, 418). Kashi is said to sit above the earth as a crossing place between earth and the “far shore” of the transcendant Brahman. (Eck, pp. 6, 35).

It is said that, when one dies, Shiva whispers the “ferryboat mantra”, or mantra of the crossing (Eck, p. 331).

This compares with Slavic concepts of the dead traveling across an ocean with a conductor to guide the deceased. Likewise, the Slavic Siva is connected with the life/death cycle. (Ann and Imel, p. 73).

Compare Slavic SHIVAYA/ZHIVAYA VODA (various sources give different spellings), “living water”, which brings dead people back to life; and MERTVAYA VODA, “dying water”, which makes a living person dead (Professor A. Babyonyshev, email).

The “dying water” heals all wounds on the corpse of the deceased, and then the sprinkling of “living water” bring it to life.

And in the Kanjar tribe, Bhavani is worshipped along with the goddess Prabha, “light” (Hastings, vol. 7, p.653).

    This word is associated with a sun-disk (Monier-Williams, p. 683).

The Kanjar use a protector-exorcist called a SYAANAA (“wise one”) to propitiate bad spirits (Hastings, vol. 7, p. 653).

Neither the Kanjar nor the followers of Siva had any formal priesthood (Hubbs, pp. 13, 14; Hastings, vol. 7, p

I have written about the Celts being Brahmins and Danube comes from the word  Danu.

Danu is the daughter of Daksha Prajapathi, the Progenitor of Mankind.

She was married to Kashyapa and is the mother of the Danavas.”Though there are indications that the people of England, Celts did have a Sanatana Dharma connection, I have not been able to find a good research work till now on this subject.

    Now,

There is enough evidence that the priestly class of the ancestors,Druids, of the Celts were…. Brahmins.

And they performed the Vedic rituals.”

The Danavas’ descendants migrated from the South off India, to South Central Asia and Europe.

    They migrated in waves.

They were called the Sveta Hunas, from whom the word, the ancient Hun Tribe is arrived.

The Huns were the descendants of the Danavas.

They settled in what is  now known as Germany, Austria,Slovakia, Hungary,Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria,Romania, Moldova,Ukraine.

The River Danube is  named after their ancestor Danu.

“One of the treasures of Prehistoric art from the period of Aurignacian art, theLion Man of Hohlenstein Stadel is an ivory carving of a lion-headed figure, and is recognized as the oldest known anthropomorphic animal carving in the world. It was discovered in a cave in Hohlenstein Mountain, located in the Swabian Jura of southwest Germany. Following carbon dating tests on earth in which this item of prehistoric sculpture was found, it has been dated to approximately 38,000 BCE, making it the earliest art of its type (male figure) in Europe. A number of other unique works of Stone Age art have been found in the locality, since excavations first began in the 1860s, including: (1) theVenus of Hohle Fels (38,000-33,000 BCE), the oldest of the Venus Figurinesand the oldest known figurative sculpture; (2) the earliest ivory carving of a mammoth – see Ivory Carvings of the Swabian Jura. The area is therefore an important centre of Paleolithic art and culture, and is likely to disclose further examples of Rock art in due course. After the discovery of the Lion Man, a similar, but smaller, lion-headed carving was unearthed in a nearby cave, together with other zoomorphic figures as well as several bone flutes. This has led archeologists to speculate that the lion-figure had a totemic role for the inhabitants of the early Upper Paleolithic. The original carving is now kept in the Ulmer Museum, Ulm, pending the establishment of a new museum of ancient art.”

Probably no other country in the world has deliberately written off a 2,500 year period of their own history by systematically stamping out and snapping all links with the past. They have wiped the memories of pre-Muslim era off their minds. So while they chose to remain ignorant of their past ironically enough it is they who dub the pre-Muslim era as a period of ignorance.

In Istanbul in Turkey, there is a famous library called Makteb-e-Sultania which is reputed to have the largest collection of ancient West Asian literature.

In the Arabic Section of that library is an anthology of ancient Arabicpoetry.

That anthology was compiled from an earlier work in A.D. 1742 under the orders of the Turkish ruler Sultan Salim.

The anthology is known as SAYAR-UL-OKUL. It is divided into three parts, the first part contains biographic details and the poetic compositions of pre-Islamic Arabian poets.

The second part embodies accounts and verses of poets of the period beginning just after Prophet Mohammad up to the end of Banee- Ummayya dynasty.

The third part deals with later poets up to the end of Khalifa Harun-al-Rashid’s times.

Incidentally “Banee” means “Vanee” and Ummayya as in Krishnayya are Sanskrit names.

Abu Amir Abdul Asamai, a distinguished Arabian bard who was the Poet Laureate of Harun-al-Rashid’s court has
    compiled and edited the anthology.

The first modern edition of Sayar-ul-Okul anthology was printed and published in Berlin in A.D. 1864.

A subsequent edition was published in Beirut in A.D. 1932.

This work is regarded as the most important and authoritative anthology of ancient Arabic poetry.

It throws considerable light on the social life, customs, manners and entertainment forms in ancient Arabia.

The book also contains an elaborate description of the ancient Mecca shrine, the town and the annual fair known as OKAJ which used to be held there every year.

This should convince readers that the annual Haj of the Muslims to the Kaaba is only a continuation of the old fair and not a new practice.

But the OKAJ fair was far from a carnival.

It provided a forum for the elite and learned to discussthe social, religious, political, literary and other aspects of the
    Vedic culture then pervading Arabia.

Sayar-ul-Okul asserts that the conclusions reached at those discussions were widely respected throughout Arabia. Mecca, therefore, followed the Varanasi tradition of providing a seat for important discussions among the learned while the masses congregated there for spiritual bliss. The principal shrines at both Varanasi in India and at Mecca in Arvasthan were Shiva temples. Even to this day the central object of veneration at both Mecca and Varanasi continues to be the ancient Mahadeva emblems. It is the Shankara stone which Muslim pilgrims reverently touch and kiss in the Kaaba.

As the pilgrim proceeds towards Mecca he is asked to
shave his head and beard and to don a special sacred attire.
This consists of two seamless sheets of white cloth. One is to
be worn round the waist and the other over the shoulders.
Both these rites are remnants of the old Vedic practice of
entering Hindu shrines, clean-shaven and with holy seamless
    spotless white sheets.

The main shrine in Mecca which houses the Shiva emblem is known as the Kaaba. It is clothed in a black shroud.
This custom could also originate from the days when it was thought necessary to discourage its recapture.

According to encyclopaedias Britannica and Islamia the Kaaba had 360 images.

Traditional accounts mention that one of the deities among the 360 destroyed, when the shrine was stormed, was that of Saturn, another was of the moon and yet another was one called Allah.

In India the practice of Navagraha puja that is worship of the nine planets is still in vogue.

Two of these nine are the Saturn and the moon.

Besides, the moon is always associated with Lord Shankara. A Crescent is always painted across the forehead of the Shiva emblem. Since the presiding deity at the Kaaba shrine was Lord Shiva i.e. Shankara, the crescent was also painted on it. It is that crescent which is now adopted as a religious symbol of Islam. Another Hindu tradition is that wherever there is a Shiva shrine the sacred stream of Ganga that is the Ganges must also co-exist. True to that tradition a sacred fount exists near the Kasba. Its water is held sacred because it was regarded as but another Ganga since pre-Islamic times. Muslim pilgrims visiting the Kaaba shrine go around it seven times.

In no other mosque does this perambulation prevail. Hindus invariably perambulate around their shrines.

This is yet another proof that the Kaaba shrine is a pre-Islamic Shiva temple where the Hindu practice of perambulation is still meticulously observed.

Allah is a Sanskrit word. In Sanskrit Allah, Akka and Amba are synonyms. They signify a goddess or mother.

The term Allah appears in Sanskrit chance while invoking goddess Durga i.e. Bhavani.

The Islamic word Allah for God is therefore not an innovation but the ancient Sanskrit appellation retained and continued to be used by Islam.

The seven perambulations too are significant. At Hindu wedding ceremonies the bride and bridegroom go round the sacred fire seven times, the Sapthapadi.

The practice of seven perambulations around the Kaaba shrine in Mecca is, therefore, a Hindu Vedic custom.

It is also a proof that Mecca was Makha or the shrine of the sacred fire around which worshippers made seven perambulations.

SAYAR-UL-OKUL tells us that a pan-Arabic poetic symposium used to be held in Mecca at the annual Okaj fair in pre-Islamic times.

All leading poets used to participate in it.
Poems considered best were awarded prizes.

The best poems engraved on gold plate were hung inside the temple. Others etched on camel or goat skin were hung outside. Thus for
thousands of years the Kaaba was the treasure-house of the best Arabian poetic thought. This tradition was of immemorial antiquity.

But most of the poems got lost and destroyed during the storming of the Kaaba by prophet Mohammed’’s forces.

The custom of conducting a Poets’Conclave is of Tamil Origin and it is called Tamil Sangam.

Tamil History is split as Sangam Era and later Poems.

Obviously this indicates the Dravidian’s influence in the Middle east.

This must have happened when Shiva and His son Ganesha left the South due to a Tsunami and traveled towards the Middle east

Please read my post on this.

    SAYAR-UL-OKUL is a poem by UMAR-BINE-HASSNAM
(Poetic Title: ABBUL-HIQAM meaning Father of Knowledge).
He was an uncle of prophet Mohammed. He refused to get converted to Islam.

He died a martyr at the hands of Muslim fanatics who wanted to wipe out non-Muslims.

This poem was adjudged as the best in the annual fair at Kaaba.

This was a Hymn on Shiva.

  • Caspian Sea Kashyapa Sagar Of Hinduism

Sage Kashyapa is the Grand Old Sire of Hinduism.

He is one of the Saptha Rishis, Seven Sages of Hinduism

The Rishis determine the Sruthi to be followed.

    They change for each Manvantara.

The Rishi are seers who know, and by their knowledge are the makers of shastra and “see” all mantras. The word comes from the root rish Rishati-prapnoti sarvvang mantrang jnanena pashyati sangsaraparangva, etc. The seven great Rishi or saptarshi of the first manvantara are Marichi, Atri, Angiras, Pulaha, Kratu, Pulastya, and Vashishtha. In other manvantara there are other sapta-rshi. In the present manvantara the seven are Kashyapa Atri, Vashishtha, Vishvamitra, Gautama, Jamadagni, Bharadvaja. To the Rishi the Vedas were revealed. Vyasa taught the Rigveda so revealed to Paila, the Yajurveda to Vaishampayana, the Samaveda to Jaimini, Atharvaveda to Samantu, and Itihasa and Purana to Suta. The three chief classes of Rishi are the Brah-marshi, born of the mind of Brahma, theDevarshi of lower rank, and Rajarshi or Kings who became Rishis through their knowledge and austerities, such as Janaka, Ritaparna, etc. Thc Shrutarshi are makers of Shastras, as Sushruta. The Kandarshiare of the Karmakanda, such as Jaimini.

For the present Manvantara,Vaivasvatha Manvatara,Kashyapa is one of the Saptha Rishis.

He s the son-in-law of Daksha Prajapati, the progenitor of Mankind.

Kashyapa is mentioned in all the Hindu Puranas,Sikhism.

He was married to Danu, daughter of Daksha, who was the mother of the Danavas.

On Rishis please read my Post.

The Celts worship Dandu and call themselves as the People/Tribes of Danu.

    Caspian Se, NASA Satelittle Image.jpg
This is a view from orbit of the Caspian Sea as imaged by the MODIS sensor on the Terra satellite. Caption: The original caption from NASA: ::”The northern part of the Caspian Sea is plagued by a process called eutrophication, in which agricultural run-off rich in fertilizers stimulates rampant growth of algae in the water. The death and decay of these algae robs the water of oxygen, with obvious negative consequences for aquatic life. This image of the Caspian Sea shows swirls of green and blue near the mouth of the Volga River (top center), which indicate the presence of algae. The bright blue color of the northeastern part of the sea may be due to a mixture of plant life and sediment, for this is where the sea is most shallow. Kashyapa is mentioned predominantly in the north and northwest of India.

Kashmir, India is named after Kashmir,

Kashmir has a huge lake Satisara.

Sara means lake or a mountain.

I take the view that this refers to Mountain range as Shiva’s wife Sat was born here.

Some legends in Kashmir state that the large lake  was called Kasyapa Sira.

Kashyapa Sira came to be known as Kashmir.

    Mira in Sanskrit means lake,

    Note the word Mariner.

It is from the word Mira, to denote Navigator.

    Caspian Sea.

The word Caspian is derived from the name of the Caspi (Persian کاسی), an ancient people that lived to the west of the sea in Transcaucasia.[6] Strabo wrote that “to the country of the Albanians belongs also the territory called Caspiane, which was named after the Caspian tribe(Kaswan, Kashyap Jat clans), as was also the sea; but the tribe has now disappeared”.[7] Moreover, the Caspian Gate, which is the name of a region in Tehran province of Iran, is another possible piece of evidence that they migrated to the south of the sea.

The root of the word Caspian can also be traced to Sanskrit.

In Hinduism, Caspian Sea was called the Kashyapa Sagar.

The Caspian Sea is named after a tribe from the province of Gilan (or Guilan) in Iran. Caspi and Amardi (who lived in the Sepid Rud valley) were the main two tribes during the Achaemenid dynasty era. The Achaemenids ruled around the 5th Century BC.

The sage Kashyap was regarded as the founder of Kashmir. At the time he lived in the area, it is believed that most of the land was submerged under water, and the water body was called Kashyap Sar.

‘According to the Nilmat Purana, the land of Kashmir was occupied by a vast lake called “Satisara”. On the basis of this fact, the word “Kashmir” is derived from Sanskrit “Kashyapa + Mira” which means the sea lake or the mountain of sage Kashyapa. Kashyapa was the originator of Kashmir.'(Yahoo Answers)

Valley of kashmir was occupied by two tribes Pisachas and Nagas.

The Kashmir valley was a vast lake called Satisaras, named after Sati or Parvati the consort of Shiva.

The lake was inhabited by the demon Jalodbhav.

‘Kashmir Region was inhabited by two tribes — the Nagas and thePisachas.

The lake was drained off by leader of the Nagas called Ananta (Anantnag region of Kashmir is named after him) to capture and kill the demon. Ananta later names the valley as Kashapa-mira after his father Kashapa.-Nilamat Purana

Prajapati Kashapa killed Jalodbhava with the help of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

The lake was then drained and comes to be known as Kash-mira after the Rishi Kashayapa’-Rajatharangini by Kalhana.

It may be note that the Iran’s tribes descended from the Hindus and some of them mover to the Caspian .

Hindu Puranas say it was drained.
