Though it is mandatory to perform Sraddha for the ancestors, many of us do not perform.
Pitru Dosha,, curse of the Pitrus for not being properly when they were alive and no performance of Sraddha may be atoned in some temples.
One is Gaya Sraddha and the performance of Sraddha at Benares.
There are some more temples where the Piru dosha parihara Poojas may be performed.
Rameswaram is another.

நமது முன்னோர்களில் சிலர் மகத்தான புண்ணியத்தைச் செய்து, அதன் பலனாக பிறப்பு_இறப்பு அல்லாத முக்தி நிலையை அடைந்திருந்தால், அத்தகைய பித்ருக்களுக்கு நாம் செய்யும் பூஜா பலன்களை இறைவனே ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, அதற்குப் பிரதிபலனாக, பல நன்மைகளை நமக்கு அளித்தருள்கிறான்.
நமது முன்னோர்களில் எவரெவர் முக்தி நிலையை அடைந்துள்ளனர் என்பதை நாம் தெரிந்துகொள்ள முடியாததால், பித்ரு பூஜைகளைத் தொடர்ந்து நாம் செய்யவேண்டும் என சப்தரிஷிகளும் உறுதியாகக் கூறியுள்ளனர்.

Sir, one of the astrologers said I have Pitru Dosha and I need to arrange for Thithi for my forefathers. My parents are alive and I cannot be doing this. One can not perform Pitru Karma when father is alive.

My sister died on 4th June 2016 , she was married , she is a christian , death ceremony is done by her husband in church , but she died in our house , what are the necessary pariharam I have to do ? My wife is also pregnant at that time ! Please explain me how to move further !
Once a girl is married the responsibility for performing Karmas rests with her husband and her parents/brothers have no right over this.However since she died in your house,you may visit any of the Nine Parihara sthalas and offer food to the poor, to ease your mind.
