Thirumukkoodal Inscription by Veera Rajendra on cows Urine being used in the temple hospital

The Hospital,Adurasalai had (hospital staff) a physician, a surgeon, two male nurses, two female nurses, a potter, a washerman and a guard.

chebulic myrobalan .Haritaki (Terminalia chebula Retz., Family: Combretaceae) possesses a great therapeutic value and is widely distributed in India, up to an altitude of 1500 m. Though Terminalia chebula Retz is the only botanical source of Haritaki, the uses of its varieties along with their sources, identifying features and therapeutic uses are described in Ayurvedic classics and other medical literature. In the present study, a detailed review has been carried out on different varieties of Haritaki……Haritaki (Terminalia chebula Retz) is held in high esteem in Ayurveda for its properties to prevent and cure diseases. It has enjoyed the prime place among medicinal herbs in India since ancient times. It is called the ‘King of Medicines’ and is always listed first in Ayurveda because of its extraordinary therapeutic benifits…Data on this medicinal plant is available in all Ayurvedic classics as well as in the Nighantus and works on the materia medica of Ayurveda. The details of the plant are also mentioned in Tibetan literature and various floras of medicinal plants. It is found throughout India up to an altitude of 1500 m.[1] Fruit rind is used as medicine and is one of the ingredients in Triphala (three myrobalans). This plant is used externally in wound healing, fungal infections, inflammations of the mucous membrane of the mouth, and internally as a rejuvenative, astringent, purgative, stomachic, and laxative. It is useful in asthma, piles, and cough.[2,3]

  • Forging Thirukkural By Christians ,How It was Executed

Forging Thirukkural By Christians ,How It was Executed

I have in my earlier article shown how Christianity tried to forge Thirukkural, a great Tamil work dating back to 2000 years, and the people behind the attempt, Arch.Bishop Arulappa and John Ganesh were exposed by the court and Ganesh was punished. Here I shall share information received from my friend Sri.Trisakthi Sunderraman on how the fraud was perpetrated.

The biggest fraud Santhome Church tried to pull with Arch Bishop Arulappa and John Ganesh.

The case has been closed. And the dramatis personae prefer to maintain a studied silence. For fear that a post-mortem would reveal hidden cadavers in their cupboards.
For even a superficial examination of the fraud that shook the foundations of the Catholic Church in Madras in the late seventies and early eighties indicates that a lot of embarrassing details have been swept under the mat.
The infamous scandal had to be pieced together from court

records, police files and the ramblings of the main character. As the Arch Bishop was ill with cardiac problems.
It all began in the early seventies. Ganesh Iyer, who had adopted the Christian faith and was a self-styled Bible preacher known as John Ganesh.
He is reported to have presented himself to Father Micheal of Tamil Illakiya Kazhakam as Dr.John Ganesh, professor of philosophy and comparative religions at the Banaras university, and recently returned from Jammu and Kashmir where he was involved in research on Christianity here
Michael put him on to another priest, Father Mariadas of Sriviliputhur.

John Ganesh impressed Maridas,by his xian knowledge and showing him pics of palm leaf writings and copper plate
    Inscriptions several centuries old.
Maridas funded 22,000 to Ganesh to research on these and when he ran out of money, enters Arch Bishop Arulappa of Santhome church.

Arulappa was a Tamil scholar and had authored several texts, he also knew sanskrit. He had studied Thirukural extensively.
A.Bishop held the view that St. Thomas, before his martyrdom on a hill near Madras, now called St. Thomas Mount, met Tiruvalluvar and influenced the bard to the extent of converting him to the nascent faith.

In 1975-76, John Ganesh began his research. And archbishop with funds
The archbishop had planned minutely how this was to be done. It was simple but ingenious.

Simply brilliant, if perverted. He made Ganesh cut brown paper into long strips– irregular and uneven like ancient palm frond scroll. He then wrote whatever he was asked to on these strips.
Ganesh adopted a scrawl that was similar to ancient writings – often indecipherable. And the style of language was also lifted from the past.

Laborious and involved. These strips of brown paper were then pasted with glue on white cardboard and then photographed
The photo print looked exactly like a photograph of ancient palm frond scrolls. The archbishop intended to pass these off to unsuspecting people as the real stuff.

Both made several such photographs. Hundreds, thousands.
To an unbelievable scale, entire Tirukkural were written this way and interspersed with Christian thought. 100℅ funded by the Arch Bishop Arulappa.

Yes they forged the entire Thirukural as Christian text
The Arch Bishop in 1976 obtained a passport for Ganesh in the name of Acharya Paul and in 1977 both traveled to Vatican and met the Pope Paul VI , and Ganesh(A.Paul) actually presented his fraud findings of Thirukural palm pics to the Pope.
The press went gala over the findings of Thirukural of xian origins, and the Arch Bishop and Ganesh were mentally intoxicated over their success.
But Hindu orgs and Christians got a shock and realised the fraud which had been happening, and found out that Ganesh from Srirangam who claimed a bachelor was actually a married man and had together they had duped the church and archbishop’s money to an amount of 14 lacs.
Investigations into the sordid episode began. The police, led initially by Inspector Seshadri and later by Inspector Chandrayaperumal searched iyer’s residence.
They unearthed the “originals” of all the photographs produced by Iyer as proof of his research – writings on strips of brown paper cut to resemble medieval palm frond writings, pasted on sheets of white paper.
The police learnt that the photographs had been taken at a studio in Tiruchi and this led to the seizure of all the relevant original negatives, including stamps of museums and letterheads of various departments.
On February 6, 1986, P. Aruvudayappan, second metropolitan magistrate, Madras, delivered his judgment in case number 100087/82:

“Taking advantage of the soft attitudes of public witnesses 2 and 3
(Father Mariadas and Father Arulappa),” he averred, “the defendant (Ganesh Iyer) guilty under various sections of the I.P.C. and has to undergo 10 months imprisonment and 5 month’s rigorous imprisonment under section 12-B of the Indian Passports Act.
He had been arrested on April 29, 1980 and let off on bail on June 27, 1980.

What is even more curious is that a civil suit of compromise had been filed in the Madras high court. The compromise decree was taken up immediately after the conclusion of the criminal case.
This reduced Ganesh Iver’s sentence. Rumors say this was in exchange for his silence.

  • 7000 Year Old Nuclear Shelter In India

7000 Year Old Nuclear Shelter In India

When one looks at the history of world, one is confused to find that contrary to what we have been taught, new facts emerge to challenge and change what has been known till date.

    • Remains of Giants are being found, especially in the US.
    • Age of Universe is being revised subsequent to finding of new evidence with the aid of Hubble telescope.
    • Civilisations that flourished disappeared suddenly.
    • When digging takes place for archeology, one finds earlier remains and not the latest, that is we find 5000 years old remains and not 1000 or 500 years old ones as they should have been on the top layer.
    • Theoretical findings seem to have suddenly gained momentum after 14/15/16 Century and continued till late 19 th century and then….only technology based on these inventions.
    • Earlier scientific findings of ancient civilizations disappeared suddenly.
    • We find evidence of high level of Advanced Mathematics, Trigonometry, mechanics and Drilling Tecnology, especially Micro Drilling in the sculptures found in Indian temples, which are more than thousand years old.
    • Astronomically aligned temple construction is found around the world, including India when, based on our present knowledge, those should not have had the technology to build them.

Yes, these are surprising. Equally astonishing is the information that Atomic explosions had taken place in olden days, during Ramayana period.Despcription matching Post Atomic blast scenes are found when the effects of Brahmastra are described in Indian texts.Etic Von Daniken had described this in his book, the Chariots of Gods. He also propounded the theory that we were visited by Aliens and that our DNA was altered and reprogrammed by the Aliens.Indian texts do refer to this aspect.

During the conflict between Rama Empire and Atlanteans , they had dropped Atom Bomb on Mohenjodaro and remains from the site show radio activity.

Such being the case, it may not come as a surprise to find cave shelters which could have been Nuclear Shelters/ Bunkers.

    Barabar cave Maps
Photograph and volume representation of Lomas Rishi Cave. The digging of the vault has never been finished.

These caves are situated in the twin hills of Barabar (four caves) and Nagarjuni (three caves); caves of the 1.6 km (0.99 mi)-distant Nagarjuni Hill are sometimes singled out as the Nagarjuni Caves. These rock-cut chambers bear dedicatory inscriptions in the name of “King Piyadasi” for the Barabar group, and “Devanampiya Dasaratha” for the Nagarjuni group, thought to date back to the 3rd century BCE during the Maurya period, and to correspond respectively to Ashoka (reigned 273–232 BCE) and his grandson, Dasharatha Maurya.

The sculptured surround to the entrance to the Lomas Rishi Cave is the earliest survival of the ogee shaped “chaitya arch” or chandrashala that was to be an important feature of Indian rock-cut architecture and sculptural decoration for centuries. The form was clearly a reproduction in stone of buildings in wood and other plant materials.

The caves were used by from the Ajivika sect, founded by Makkhali Gosala, a contemporary of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, and of Mahavira, the last and 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. The Ajivikas had many similarities with Buddhism as well as Jainism. Also present at the site are several rock-cut Buddhist and Hindu sculptures and inscriptions from later periods.’. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barabar_Caves

Lomasa is a Rishi, who interacted with Sri Rama and Lomasa appears in Mahabharata too advising Pandavas to go on a pilgrimage. One must recall Atomic weapons were used during that time.

Sudhama was a close friend of Sri Krishna Next article on the Rishis associated with Barabar caves follows.

  • Meditation OM Chanting Causes Epilepsy or Cures? Research Study

Indian philosophical systems are meant as Paths to Self Realisation and any other benefit like Emotional calmness, physical fitness and well being are only spinoffs of these spiritual practices aimed at realizing Self.Indian philosophy understands the limitations of humans, both physical and mental and so has devised methods that function effectively within the limitations of human frailty and Hinduism never imposes anything that is strenuous either mentally or physically.Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that human body is precious and it has to be respected as God resides in it.Ancient Tamil Siddha texts, including Thirumandhiram by Thirumoolar declare that human body is A Temple One can realize Self with the help of this body which has Mind.Krishna declares that those who strain the body are following Rakshasa Tapas, that is one practiced by the powerful with not much of wisdom. It has to be avoided.

A point to note in Hinduism is that Mind unlike in Western philosophy, is considered as a sense organ and is not a separate entity.Mund had to be guided, channelized in a specific manner to achieve Self Realisation.Mind is not to be controlled consciously as the more you try to control, the more it would go out of control. So , the technic is to cheat the Mind,as it were, by appearing to go along with it and direct it subtly towards Self Realisation. This may sound gibberish, which it is not. This can be achieved by Discerning knowledge, Practice and strong Determination ,Gnana,Abhyaasa and Druda Sankalpa.I shall devote a post on this shortly.

In the meantime, let’s note that there are four broad paths suggested for Self Realisation. They are..

    • Gnana, Knowledge
    • Karma, Action
    • Raja,Highly Active physically
    • Bhakti, Total Surrender.

Gnana yoga is the intellectual approach, Karma Yoga is Rooted in Sacrifice of the fruits of Action,Raja Yoga is a process of disciplining the Mind through Physical exercises and Bhakti is totally emotional approach when one surrenders every thing to God.Though it appears simple Bhakti Yoga is difficult to practice if you do not have the required disposition.

In practice, all these form a whole in realising Self ,that is in every Yoga, the other yogas are present. However, the emphasis differs. So, when one practices Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, the purpose is to stop the modification of the Chitta. To put it in simple world’s, stop the processes of Thoughts. That is the State Of Being.Self Realisation.

In this yoga process , beneficial physical and mental accrue. These are, as I mentioned earlier , are only side effects and not to be given too much importance.Performing Yoga as a Physical Exercise without the goal being Self Realisation is not Yoga.Such an approach is likely to bring in physical and mental problems.

However, there are studies which show that meditation, chanting of OM helps one Mental health, effectively manages Epilepsy.I had also published articles about the benefits of Yoga .

I am providing two views based on the research of the relationship between Yoga ,OM Chanting and Mental health, especially Epilepsy. The result is inconclusive.Whike a study suggests it aids in management of Epilepsy, while other view is that Meditation causes Epilepsy. My view is that we need more specific study on this subject. At the same time, I am of the opinion that if one practices meditation as it ought to be, as a tool for Self Realisation, these issues do not arise and become irrelevant. Don’t attempt to convert a Spiritual Sadhana into a Physical Exercise.

Proponents of meditation tout its ability to reduce seizures in people with epilepsy, while those more skeptical contend that regular practice of meditation could in fact induce epileptic seizures. So, how much of this debate is based on real clinical data and how much on opinion? To answer this question, Epilepsy.com writer, Jenna Martin, interviewed Erik K. St. Louis, M.D., Assistant Professor of Neurology Co-Director, Iowa Comprehensive Epilepsy Program and co-author of the recently published article, “Meditation and epilepsy: A still hung jury” 1 and another forthcoming review on the subject2.

Our interest in this subject was kindled by a young patient that I had seen who developed new onset mesial temporal lobe epilepsy, who lacked other epilepsy risk factors, and had been a lifelong practitioner of meditation.  I was aware of recent research that had shown evidence for physiological neuronal hypersynchrony seen on electroencephalograms (EEG) during meditation.  While I thought the potential relationship between her meditative practice and her development of epilepsy was probably no more than a chance coincidence, I started to review the literature and was surprised to see that there were a few previous (although nebulously described) case reports of potential associations of epilepsy with meditation.

Conversely, there were also small treatment trials demonstrating possible benefits of seizure reduction with meditative techniques.  Coincidentally, a few opinion pieces concerning epilepsy and meditation started to surface in the medical literature around this time last year.  There seemed to be two schools of thought on a possible relationship between meditation and epilepsy.  Some suggested the possibility that the neuronal hypersynchrony and “psychic” type mental imagery that may accompany meditation may actually reflect the occurrence of simple partial seizures provoked by meditation. On the other hand, many  proponents of meditation objected strongly to this suggestion, citing a few small past treatment trials that had suggested that meditation may reduce seizures in those with known epilepsy.https://www.epilepsy.com/article/2014/3/meditation-epilepsy-silent-debate-wages

In this study, significant deactivation was observed bilaterally during ‘OM’ chanting in comparison to the resting brain state in bilateral orbitofrontal, anterior cingulate, parahippocampal gyri, thalami and hippocampi. The right amygdala too demonstrated significant deactivation. No significant activation was observed during ‘OM’ chanting. In contrast, neither activation nor deactivation occurred in these brain regions during the comparative task – namely the ‘ssss’ pronunciation condition.

    Conclusion:

The neurohemodynamic correlates of ‘OM’ chanting indicate limbic deactivation. As similar observations have been recorded with vagus nerve stimulation treatment used in depression and epilepsy, the study findings argue for a potential role of this ‘OM’ chanting in clinical practice.
