Talk of shooting in the foot.When political decision is still confusing on formation of Telengana and even if Telengana formation is okayed by the Center, it has to go through a long drawn Constitutional process to declare Telengana as a State.In the present era of coalition politics and mutually exclusive partners at the center and the animosity between states,this will be a long time process and may not even materialize.
At this juncture talking through the hat will only complicate the process and inflame passions.He does not seem to be fit to be a Home Secretary and he should be sacked immediately.
As the Centre battles the political fallout on the Telangana issue, Union home secretary G K Pillai on Friday said Hyderabad will be the Capital of Telengana.
“Hyderabad, I think, will always be the capital of Telangana,” Pillai, who is here on an overnight visit to the state, told reporters after a security review meeting.
The remarks of Pillai assume significance as the political backlash in Andhra Pradesh mounted with more MLAs resigning to protest the Centre’s agreeing to the carving out of a separate Telangana state.
Pillai also said the agitation against Telangana would die down in the coming days once the people understand the real implication of what is meant.
