Man’s first civilization arose on the continent of Lemuria 78,000 years ago and reached heights so great that our present civilization can barely be considered a civilization when compared to it. Government, religion, and science achieved such perfection as to be far beyond our present comprehension. Western Civilization is only about 2,500 years old and has narrowly survived its power-seeking rulers and priests. Our science and technology are but in their infancy and as yet consist of but relatively few rediscoveries. The religion of Lemuria was established on the laws of the universe by Christ Himself when He ruled Lemuria under the name Melchizedek.
22500 – 8500 B.C. Atlantean Civilization: After the destruction of Lemuria, Atlantis grew to be a great nation, which subsequently proved to be the world’s second-ranking civilization. It flourished for some 14,000 years until its submersion about 10,500 years ago. The name of this nation was Poseid, and it was the offspring of the colony which the Pfrees (overly practical) had originally established.
The nation of Poseid was inventive far beyond the wildest imaginings of modern scientists. Their fantastically advanced technology afforded consummate leisure, comfort, and a vast abundance of material things. Unfortunately, the people were much too preoccupied with the pursuit of physical pleasures and with the accumulation of luxurious possessions to take advantage of the opportunity to attain citizenship, and this shortcoming ultimately resulted in their downfall. Internal conflict arose when large numbers of Katholis (overly idealistic) deserted their cities in South and Central America and migrated to Poseid in order to escape their savagely warlike neighbors. The Katholi priests set about to bring Poseid under their sway, but they only succeeded in destroying the governmental and economic system which produced the wealth and luxuries they sought to usurp. Civil and religious warfare vexed the land until it submerged beneath the ocean waves.
When Atlantis sank in a localized earthquake, it left all the rest of the globe impoverished so far as technology was concerned. Nobody else knew how to duplicate that technology; so many of the things that had been used world-wide simply didn’t exist any longer. Even though technology gradually diminished in the rest of the world, they managed to be civilized towards one another. But then 3,000 years after the sinking of Atlantis came a world-wide reapportionment of the land masses.
5500 B.C. Osirian and Rama Nations: The third greatest civilization was the pre-dynastic Egyptian culture, known as Osiris, which was greatly different from the records that we are able to find of the various dynasties. The fourth greatest civilization was the Rama Empire in the Indian sub-continent. The common people in India then had an entirely different philosophy than the educated ruling families who, incidentally, were members of the Brotherhoods.
The pre-dynastic Egyptian culture was concurrent with the Rama Empire and both were concurrent with the end times of the Atlantean civilization. They were known as the three kings. Atlantis was predominantly a very practical group of people. The people in the Rama Empire of India were much more idealistic than they were either practical or mentally oriented. The Osirian nation was primarily noted for its use of mental techniques in a positive way.
The ancient Rama Empire in India became the fourth-ranking civilization under a dynasty of enlightened leaders who for a period of several centuries suppressed the priesthood. The Rama regime and predynastic Egypt had both managed to salvage some of their culture after the fall of Atlantis, but the rest of the world was reduced to a condition of brutal struggle for survival. The colonies of the world were irretrievably shut off from the technology of Atlantis, and in a few generations they reverted to a stone age-existence. The few manufacturing facilities not destroyed by world-wide earthquakes and tidal waves soon deteriorated from lack of raw materials to feed them. Stone replaced smelted metals for tools, and all too soon subsequent generations couldn’t believe anything other than stone had ever been used. Egypt and India were precariously spared from the far-reaching upheaval, and their weakened governments gradually succumbed to evil priests and war lords.
That last reapportionment 7,500 years ago put an end to the Rama Empire in India as well as the Osirian nation in the Mediterranean basin. Today, what we consider ancient history only goes back to about that cataclysm. What we commonly refer to as the “cradle” of civilization in the region of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers of today, was people coming back to some semblance of civilization and culture.
Most of the discoveries relating to ancient India made remain unknown.
It is an accepted fact that civilizations flourished on the banks of Rivers, be it in India, or Sumeria, Minoa or Africa.
In India wee seem to be hearing only bout the civilizations that flourished long the banks of Ganges, Sind and Saraswathy.
Not much is known or even attempted about the other four River basins of India.
Seven Rivers are mentioned in Hindu Texts.
Ganges,
Yamuna,
Godavari,
Sarasvathi,
Narmada,
Sindu, and
Cauvery.
Of these seven, exhaustive research is being done around Ganges,Sarasvathi and Sind.
On Yamuna the research seems to have been restricted to sites relation to Mahabharata and Krishna.
On the Narmada area only Dwaraka seems to have been concentrated upon.
My research shows we have equally ancient finds around the other river basins..
Time that we concentrate on these area as well.
In addition to this, we have references to other ancient rivers like Vigai, near Madurai, Tamil Nadu,Tamraparani, near deep down south Tirunelveli nd there are are references to to other rivers like Pahruli.
The last one belonged to Tamil Sangam Age which flowed and joined the sea near Madagascar.

“The purpose of the present excavation at 4MSR is to learn about the Early Harappan deposits, 4MSR’s relationship with other contemporary sites and to fill the gap between the Late Harappan phase and the painted grey ware [PGW] culture. We should know about the early farming phase [that existed in the pre-Harappan period]. It is also important to know the continuity of the sequence from the Late Harappan phase to the PGW culture. That is why we have taken up explorations and excavations in this entire area.”
At its height, the Harappan civilisation flourished over 2.5 million sq. km in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. About 2,000 sites have been found, from Sutkagendor in the Makran coast of Balochistan to Alamgirhpur in the east in Uttar Pradesh and from Manda in Jammu to Daimabad in Maharashtra.
The Harappan civilisation is divided into three phases: Early (3000 BCE-2600 BCE), Mature (2600 BCE -1900 BCE) and Late (1900 BCE-1500 BCE). The PGW culture came later and is datable to circa 1200 BCE and belongs to the early historical period.
After Partition, big Harappan sites such as Mohenjo-daro, Harappa and Ganweriwala fell on the Pakistani side. Between 1972 and 1974, M.R. Mughal, former Director General of Archaeology and Museums, Pakistan, explored Bahawalpur in the Cholistan region of Punjab, situated on the border with Rajasthan. Mughal found a lot of pottery on the surface there and named it Hakra ware after the Hakra river which flows there and which is called Ghaggar in India. Originating in the Himalayas, the Ghaggar flows through Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat before joining the Arabian Sea near the Rann of Kutch.
If the cornucopia of artefacts thrown up from the current excavation is any indication, 4MSR has all the characteristics of having been an Early Harappan and Mature Harappan site like Kalibangan situated 120 km away. There are no indications that a Late Harappan phase existed. “A special feature of 4MSR is the discovery of a perforated jar, a perforated bowl with a hole at the bottom and a perforated pot, confirming its status as a Mature Harappan site,” asserted Pandey. What fascinated him was the discovery of pots with handles. “In a nutshell, our excavations have yielded pre-Harappan Hakra ware, Early Harappan pottery and Mature Harappan ceramics,” he said.
What stands out in the excavation is the bonanza of Early Harappan pottery with beautifully painted figures of peacocks, a lion, birds, pipal leaves and fish-net designs. Another discovery, a beautiful pot with a pencil mouth, could have been used to keep precious liquids or perfume.
Other important artefacts obtained from the site are beads made of carnelian, lapis lazuli, steatite, agate and terracotta; copper, shell and terracotta bangles; copper rings and fish hooks; terracotta spindles and whorls; weights made out chert stone; terracotta sling balls, toy-cart frames, figurines of humped bulls, and arrowheads. Two horns of nilgai were found in a trench. Of particular interest is a potsherd with the impression of a fabric. Besides the seal, a sealing (impression of a seal) was found. The centrepiece of the discoveries is a fragment of a gold ornament for the ear. It is rare to find gold ornaments in Harappan sites although tubular gold beads have been found in Khirsara and Lothal, both Harappan sites in Gujarat.
One trench yielded a skeleton, perhaps that of a female, about 40 years old. The ASI team is in the process of identifying the presence of grave goods in the trench to determine the period to which it belongs.
What has come as a bonus is the discovery of a fire altar, with a yasti (a shaft) in the middle. “The yasti is an indication that rituals were performed at the altar,” said Manjul. The yasti here is an octagonal, burnt brick. Although bones were found in the upper level of the deposits in this trench, it could not be ascertained whether they were sacrificial bones. The ASI team traced mud and ash layers at the lower level in the trench and also found a bead inside the fire altar. Pandey said fire altars had been found in Kalibangan and Rakhigarhi, and the yastis were octagonal or cylindrical bricks. There were “signatures” indicating that worship of some kind had taken place at the fire altar here.
Rakhigarhi Rediscovered.
According to Manjul, an important reason why so many Harappan settlements came up in the then Saraswati valley was its fertile alluvial plains. Besides, raw materials such as chert, clay and copper were available in the nearby areas.
It was puzzling, Manjul said, that while a lot of pottery belonging to the Mature Harappan period was found at Kalibangan, Baror, Binjor and 4MSR, no pottery belonging to the Late Harappan phase had been found in these and other nearby sites. “The Harappans deserted 4MSR, Binjor and Baror after the Mature Harappan phase. Why?” he asked. Another puzzle was that only the Late Harappan culture existed in the Suratgarh region in Rajasthan. “There is no continuity of the Harappan phases in the Ghaggar river valley. Did a migration take place towards Suratgarh after the Mature Harappan period? We have to find out the reasons why it happened,” Manjul said. (Baror, Binjor and 4MSR are contiguous sites. While Baror is about 20 km from Binjor and 4MSR, Kalibangan is 120 km from 4MSR. Kalibangan is 25 km from Suratgarh).,
One comes across interesting information when one researches the Indian Texts, which have been discarded by the West and accepted by the Indian Intellectuals((?)
Spread of Yadavas .Yadava Kingdom.
To me the Indian Texts are History and there is ample physical evidence to prove what has been stated in them.
They have been validated by archeology, astronomy, internal and external evidence of the west’s interpretation of Indian History.
I have written quite a few articles on the validation of Indian History, be it the Age of the Rig Veda, Rama and Krishna, Agastya, Tamil Kings, Shiva, Murugan,,the Age of Thiruvannamalai, Tirupati temples.
I have been intrigued by the worship of Aravan, son of Lord Krishna since early ages in Tamil Nadu.
There is a Temple for Aravan ,Koothaandaar Koil, near Tindivanam , about 3 hours from Chennai, where a festival is conducted years by the Third gender for Iravan.Aravan is called thus in Tamil as words starting from R is not allowed by Tamil Grammar.
And the practice of Bul fighting called Manju Virattu in Tamil from ancient times in Tamil Nadu has Krishna connection.
Bull Fighting , which is famous in Spain was started by Krishna!
And the term Eru Thazhuvudhal, that of a jilted lover embracing death by climbing a special tree, also has Krishna connection!

Meanwhile, I came across information that Krishna’s sons expanded their Kingdom throughout India and all the Kingdoms of India descended from either Rama or Krishna.
‘The main part that Mahabharata mentions that Arjuna established the son of Kritavarma at Mrittikavati and the great-grandson of Krishna, Vajra at Indraprastha. Some Puranas mention Vajra was established at Mathura. But these two kings did survive out of the Yadava clan. The Yadava clan was not completely wiped out but it’s influence reduced considerably.
The Abhiras were becoming strong since the Mahabharata war. Their kingdom was in the Sindhu region. The control of Purus and Yadavas reduced considerably on that region after the war. The Abhiras attacked Arjuna when he was taking back the Yadava women. The Abhiras took away some of these women. If the Mahabharata had actually happened around 3000 BC, then this entry of Abhiras in the Saraswati region could very well explain the Harappan civilization which sprung around the same time. The Gupta dynasty is claimed to have sprung from these Abhiras. The Yadava kingdoms did exist, but became less in number. The one Yadava kingdom that existed was the Devagiri kingdom in Maharashtra whose rulers claim direct descent from Krishna. There still exist people with the surname Yadav in north India who claim descent from the royal Yadavas. Apart from that, Nanda, Krishna’s foster father was also included in the Yadava clan and his descendants called Nandavanshi Yadavas still exist…..”
It can be inferred from the vamshanucharita (genealogy) sections of a number of major Puranas that, the Yadavas spread out over the Aravalli region, Gujarat, the Narmada valley, the northern Deccan and the eastern Ganges valley.[10] TheMahabharata and the Puranas mention that the Yadus or Yadavas, a confederacy comprising numerous clans were the rulers of the Mathura region.[11] The Mahabharata also refers to the exodus of the Yadavas from Mathura to Dvaraka owing to pressure from the Paurava rulers of Magadha, and probably also from the Kurus”
Yadava dynasty, rulers of a 12th–14th-century Hindu kingdom of central India in what is now the Indian state of Maharashtra. Originally a feudatory of the Eastern Chalukyas of Kalyani, the dynasty became paramount in the Deccan under Bhillama (c. 1187–91), who founded Devagiri (later Daulatabad) as his capital. Under Bhillama’s grandsonSinghana (reigned c. 1210–47) the dynasty reached its height, as the Yadava campaigned against the Hoysalas in the south, the Kakatiyas in the east, and the Paramaras and Chalukyas in the north.

It refers to things that are complete(poorna) , auspicious .
Siva worship in the south of Vindhya Mountains in India, preceded the Sanatana Dharma of the North.
While only one mention of Siva is found in the Vedas, which are the most ancient literature available to us now,there are numerous references in Tamil, a language of India, which runs parallel to Sanskrit, in texts which are old by about 74,000 years.

A Summary of the discovery in 2003
There are 4 primary tunnels and further sub tunnels that lead to deeper and bigger places which you will have heard of but with different names.

A table where you can perform holographic experiments with DNA, mix and match anything you wish and see what the results would be.
These rooms were created 50,000 years ago and each is connected to each other, protected by a energy source which actives all as one is activated.
The locations are; Near the Sphinx in Egypt, Baghdad, Mount Kailash in Tibet and the Bucegi Mountains in Romania. The inner tunnels lead to a secret World under the Gobi Plateau in Mongolia and to Antarctica.
This connects to WWII and the German Tibet expedition, Romania being fast-tracked into NATO, hollow earth, the eye above the pyramid and more.

In the summer of 2003, in an unexplored area of the Bucegi mountains, an epochal discovery was found that would completely change the destiny of mankind.
Since the declassification of the new ground-penetrating radar 2 years ago, the most staggering data has emerged of complex and labyrinthine underground systems in various parts of the world. At places like Guatemala in the South Americas, tunnels have been mapped under the Mayan pyramid complex at Tikal, which extend a full 800 kilometres to the opposite side of the country. It was using this very technology that the most remarkable discovery was made.
The discovery in Romania
Colossal diplomatic pressures came from the United States of America and the Vatican on the Romanian Government to not disclose to the whole world this discovery and so it led to a temporary agreement between the Vatican, USA and Romania. The USA fast-tracked Romania into NATO [confirmed] and the Vatican gave the Romanian Government some very important documents relating to the countries past.
A Pentagon geodetic satellite scan of the mountain revealed two major energetic blocks. The dams were made of artificial energy: the first was a wall that was blocking access to the tunnel. The second was huge, like a dome or hemisphere, at the opposite end of the tunnel, near the center of the mountain. The whole tunnel-hemisphere was in a plane parallel to the ground, and the dam is vertical hemispherical corresponding rocks on the ridge called “Babele”. In fact, the vertical slope ended at about 40 meters between Babele and the Sphinx of Bucegi (Sfinxul din Bucegi).
The Pentagon team noted that hemispherical energy barrier has the same vibrational frequency and the same shape as one another very secret underground structure that they had discovered before, near Baghdad, Iraq. Shortly after this discovery, the Iraqi war broke out and after a few months Americans had access to the biggest secret in the area, which the Iraqis knew nothing about.
They managed to drill past the first barrier but the second could not be bypassed. Anything that was thrown onto this barrier turned to dust and when soldiers got too close to the barrier they would collapse from a cardiac arrest. (How they got through is posted later in this thread) but once through they entered what was known as “the grand gallery”.
The wall inside the Grand Gallery seemed synthetic but also felt like something organic was part of it. It had the color of oil, but the reflections were green and even blue. At 280 feet, the gallery suddenly turned to the right in a sharp angle. At a greater distance a blue light was noticed, that sparkle like a star. The blue light at the end of the gallery was just the reflection of the protective shield of energy.
In the Iraqi underground
The U.S. adviser on national security issues was notified that the energetic shield from Iraq (in Baghdad) was suddenly activated, pulsating at a high frequency. In front of the shield also appeared a hologram of the planet, which sequentially and progressively depicted the European Continent, then south-east, then The Bucegi Mountains from Romania and then finally showing their location within the structure’s corridor. It was obvious that the two hemispherical energy shields were in a direct connection.
Tables for giants
The entrance hall contained a series of huge stone tables. None of the tables have a height less than two meters. On the table tops were cut in relief, with precision, different signs of an unknown writing, characters that resemble ancient cuneiform. The writing also contains more general symbols such as triangles and circles. Although the signs are not painted, they come out with a fluorescent light radiation in different colors from table to table.
There are five tables on each side of the room. On some of them are different objects that appear to be technical tools. From many of them descending to the ground, are a lot of white, translucent wires which gather into rectangular boxes of shiny, silver material. The boxes are placed directly onto the ground. The cables are extremely flexible and lightweight and light pulses can be seen circulating along their length.
When approaching any of the tables, a holographic projection activates showing aspects of a particular scientific field. The three dimensional images are perfect and very large, with a height of almost two and a half meters. The projections run by themselves but at the same time they are interactive and depend on one who interacts with the tables by touching their surfaces.
Genetic combinations
At one table the subject is biology and the projected image are of plants and animals, some completely unknown. Tapping one of the squares, the hologram shows the structure of the human body. It develops holographic images of various areas of the body that always rotate. Other squares show projections of other beings, on other celestial bodies. By tapping simultaneously two different squares, a complex scientific analysis shows the DNA of both beings and possibilities of compatibility between them. On the side vertical lines appear, containing explanations (but in the strange writing seen everywhere) and at the end, the most probable mutant form appears as a result after combining the two genetic information.
True Giants
A confirmation of the giants in Romania can be found in a newspaper called “The Newspaper”: “The team at the newspaper is accompanied by researcher Vasile Rudan, who noted that the” stories “of people from the village Bozioru about giants who lived on those lands have concrete evidence: a cemetery with skeletons of giants. It was discovered by chance over 20 years ago, when it was decided in a village called Scaieni to plant apple trees. On each side of the room are arranged five huge tables each one hosting screenings of physics, cosmology, astronomy, architecture, technology, an area that features several races of intelligent beings – who were apparently not all human – and a field of religion . Seems like a huge library of the universe. In the middle of the room is a podium that is installed in a device, possible an energy thought amplifier.
The true history of the planet
In the middle of the square is a huge dome which projects a hologram of moving parts. It contains the main aspects of the very distant past of humanity, from its very beginning. Darwin’s evolutionary theory is therefore completely false. The true origin of man is depicted in a condensed holographic form. After these lessons of truth, we can say that 90% of the official history of mankind is false and counterfeit. Unbelievable, but what is considered to have really happened is mostly lies, while the myths and legends of the people are almost all true.
This strange inversion caused many problems and conflicts between people in our past. Also, most archaeological theories are false. Some “fantasies” of scholars such as the dinosaur extinction theory 65 million years ago or considering old continents of Lemuria and Atlantis as a myth are now completely shattered by the holographic projection that shows clearly how things have happened in reality. From time to time, the hologram kept the event’s image but in the background was projected the sky map containing the marked position of all major stars and constellations of that exact time. Because of this, the exact dating of the events shown in the presentation was possible.
Although the time period covered by the projections is very large (several hundred thousand years), and the precession cycle of the Earth is 25,920 years, by observing the number of “Plato years” (the 25,920-year cycle) the exact dating of the events was possible. The Bucegi Mountains were formed 50-55 thousand years ago.
Shocking Revelations
The author acknowledges that he actually saw what really happened at the Great Flood and where the germs of human civilization occurred, but he doesn’t have the permission to reveal the reality because this involves too shocking realities for the mentality, ideas and knowledge of the contemporary man.
In a disturbing display of images the existence of Jesus and his crucifixion on the cross is also shown. The projections reveal many of those who witnessed the crucifixion of Jesus on the hill who were at that time, but had come there from other historical periods. Those humans did not differ in clothing by the jewish people present at the time of the crucifixion, however, they had different facial features and that’s why they were hiding their faces in the clothing folds the best they could. The hologram also shows sequences of the spiritual lives and missions of other exceptional characters from the very distant past of mankind, of which we don’t know anything now. In those times, the social and population distribution were completely different from what is know today, so the archaeologists and anthropologists should review their concepts from scratch.
The three mysterious tunnels
The tunnels spread over thousands of kilometers in three different areas of the planet.
The left one leads somewhere in Egypt, into a secret and yet undiscovered ensemble, which is buried under the sand. The right tunnel reaches a similar, but smaller structure, in the “Tibet Plateau”. In this second tunnel, are also found three secondary ramifications. One leads to a basement area of Buzau (Romanian city), near the Carpathians bend. Another leads to the underground structure of Iraq, near Baghdad (the one we spoke of earlier). The final ramification leads underneath the Gobi Plateau in Mongolia.
A secret world
The third tunnel, located centrally between the other two, is the subject of a secret world of which the U.S. wanted a very strong guarantee it would not be revealed. Down the central tunnel inside the planet’s crust and may provide an answer to the origin of structure inside the mountain and those who built it.
Intense preparations begun for expeditions on all 3 tunnels, as following:
-the first one to Egypt, second one to Tibet, and the final one to Earth’s core.
In 2009, a local television “Antena 1” briefly presented these events. After the show they’ve received an anonymous phone threat.

Tunnels in Iraq.
‘The mysterious tunnels of Iraq are rumoured to stretch for miles, linking palaces, military strongholds and safe houses concealing leaders, treasure or weapons of mass destruction.
For US troops strapping on night goggles and venturing underground, the tunnels are a new kind of battlefield in this war. No maps, no light and no handle – yet – on what they might find.
“For the type of regime we’re dealing with, the tunnels represent an ideal spot to conceal weapons and serve as a hideout and in some cases an escape route,” said Lt. Mark Kitchens, a spokesman for US Central Command.
Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is said to have built so many tunnels that just about anything could be underground – troops, weapons or even the Iraqi president himself.
“There were all sorts of tips and rumours, ‘dig under this and you will find that,’” said Ewen Buchanan, a spokesman for the UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission.
Arms inspectors found tunnels
Buchanan said UN arms inspectors in 1998 found a combination of bunkers and tunnels below some of Saddam’s palaces, but not the sophisticated network that had been speculated about.
“But that doesn’t say that they don’t exist,” he said.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported yesterday that US Marines have secured a city south of Baghdad – Al-Tuwaitha – where a nexus of underground labs, warehouses and bomb-proof offices extends beneath a site owned by the Iraqi Atomic Energy Agency.
It said 14 buildings betray high levels of radiation and nuclear residue. Weapons inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency recently toured the city, “but did they go underground?” the paper quoted David Albright, a former IAEA inspector in Iraq from 1992 to 1997 as saying.
Tunnels under airport
On Tuesday, at the airport outside Baghdad, 150 soldiers of the 101st Airborne’s 3rd Battalion, 3rd Brigade searched a 12-room complex inside a cave with white marble floors, 10-foot (3-meter) ceilings and fluorescent lighting. They found cigarette butts, tea bags and other signs of recent abandonment.

Yet we would date the Rig Veda around 5000 BC!
Now there is a find in Rakhigarhi, Haryana which is dated around 6000 BC.
Well, some people might be happy to date Indian History by 1600 AD when the British came to India!

Latest research has put the date of the origin of the Indus Valley Civilisation at 6,000 years before Christ, which contests the current theory that the settlements around the Indus began around 3750 BC.
Ever since the excavations at Harappa and Mohenjo-daro in the early 1920s, the civilisation was considered almost as old as those of Egypt and Mesopotamia.
The finding was announced at the “International Conference on Harappan Archaeology”, recently organised by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in Chandigarh.
Based on their research, BR Mani, ASI joint director general, and KN Dikshit, former ASI joint director general, said in a presentation: “The preliminary results of the data from early sites of the Indo-Pak subcontinent suggest that the Indian civilisation emerged in the 8th millennium BC in the Ghaggar-Hakra and Baluchistan area.”
“On the basis of radio-metric dates from Bhirrana (Haryana), the cultural remains of the pre-early Harappan horizon go back to 7380 BC to 6201 BC.”
Excavations had been carried out at two sites in Pakistan and Bhirrana, Kunal, Rakhigarhi and Baror in India.

The Harappan or Indus Valley Civilisation is one of the three oldest urban civilisations, along with Egypt and Mesopotamia, but it is the least understood. Its script is yet to be deciphered, and the knowledge of social structures and life during that period is scant. Rakhigarhi promises to change this as new discoveries continue to be made. It is one of the few Harappan sites which has an unbroken history of settlement—Early Harappan farming communities from 6000 to 4500 BC, followed by the Early Mature Harappan urbanisation phase from 4500 to 3000 BC, and then the highly urbanised Mature Harappan era from 3000 BC to the mysterious collapse of the civilisation around 1800 BC. That’s more than 4,000 years of ancient human history packed into its rich soil.
Until now, experts believed that Mohenjo-daro in Pakistan was the largest among the 2,000 Harappan sites known to exist in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The archaeological remains at Mohenjo-daro extend around 300 hectares. However, with the discovery of two more mounds, adding to the seven mounds already discovered, the total area of the archaeological site of Rakhigarhi now measures 350 hectares. The two newly-discovered mounds spread over 25 hectares each and are situated to the east and west of the main site. Unfortunately, much of the mounds have been destroyed for cultivation.
