The song Raghupathi Raghavarajaram was taught to me in school when I was about seven years,about 63 Years ago.
I was taught that this song was composed by Mahatma Gandhi and I was taught that it speaks about the identity of All Gods.
That Allah is another form of Iswar. So at that age , I was led to believe that both are same.
That the two religions are different ,I came to know later.
I am surprised at the lengths people would go to appease a section of the Community at the cost of another by tampering with a religious song.

Modification of the wording of Ram kirtan by Gandhi may have been well intentioned, calculated at fostering Hindu-Muslim amity. But for his successors in the congress party, it marked the beginning of stooping to any level for appeasement of minorities, totally compromising the interests of majority community. The blind Gandhian worship and support of most of the majority community were also responsible for keeping congress in power for over a half century. Fortunately, Hindus are now waking up to the situation.
