MF Husain Passes Away-Did He Stay Away?

In his latest interview to TIMES NOW News Channel Husain was categorical in stating that he had gone out of India because he wanted a change of scene and that he had been doing this for sixty years by staying in Paris,New York,China.

To the question whether he was threatened in India, he replied in the negative.

Questioned persistently he was evasive on this.

May be I am stupid enough not to appreciate Modern Art,to me these seem to be quite ordinary.

Legendary Indian artist Maqbool Fida Husain, popularly known as ‘Picasso of India‘ who earned both fame and wrath for his paintings, died here on Thursday at a hospital following over a month-long illness.

He was 95. Husain breathed his last at 2.30am local time (0700 IST) at the Royal Brompton Hospital where he was admitted after being in “indifferent health” for the last one-and-a-half month, family sources told PTI.
