Public ‘misled’ by drug trial claims

True.Most medicines, like ‘Brufen’ has been banned in the west years ago.But it is prescribed by Doctors in India and it is also sold across the counter.

Pharma companies ought to publicize the negative results in bold letters along with contra indications( not in a small and fuzzy lettering as done now) in Bold letters.

There has been a case reported of a woman in Chennai on taking Brufen combination, prescribed by a Doctor ,died with severe symptoms preceding death.

Essential one talks to Doctor about allergies, contra indications and composition of the Drug.

Also check the manufacturing and expiry date and consumption parameters.
