A historic church and graveyard which features in Bram Stoker’s Gothic novel Dracula is faced with a horror story of its own.
Human bones uncovered after a landslide last month have been washed down the cliff St Mary‘s Church stands on in Whitby after heavy rainfall.
The human remains are then being collected at the bottom of the cliff face and re-buried.
St Mary’s Reverend Canon David Smith said: ‘The cemetery has been a closed for more than a century so if any graves are exposed it’s only bones.
‘If anything is exposed we collect and reinter them in the same churchyard away from the edge.’
There are fears the cliff the church stands on will eventually collapse in years to come.
The cemetery closed in 1865 but people still use the church.
Rev. Smith said: ‘St Mary’s is the oldest building left in Whitby. It is a grade one listed building and still the parish church so it would be a loss to the community.’
While it is necessary to help out the less fortunate ,it is also equally necessary that we do not breed a generation of misfits and leeches who do not want to do an honest days work.

Do people spend the money for the purpose it was given?
In most of the cases, the answer is NO.
They spend on booze and other non essentials in the case of Cash and in the case of doles in kind they are sold .
And politicians use these schemes to organize scams, which runs into Millions of rupees.
Now the Government of India has come out with a proposal to directly credit the dole money the bank account of the recipient,instead of getting this amount disbursed by the departments concerned. !
Time a mechanism is put in place to monitor how the money was spent.
People were found to be using the dole money in non essentials in the US.
“This is morally scandalous. I have nothing against strip clubs, but that’s not what benefits are for. I don’t blame [recipients]. If you are poor, it’s a crummy life and you want to have a drink or see a naked woman. I blame the people who are in charge of this.”
The New York Post also wondered how welfare recipients spend our tax dollars, so using the Freedom of Information Act, they obtained the database records of 200 million Electronic Benefit Transfers. They discovered numerous withdrawals made from ATM machines in strip clubs, liquor stores, lounges and even a porn store.
Some of the clubs where EBT withdrawals have been made from on-site ATMs have been the targets of police investigations for violence. One club in the Bronx, Club Eleven, is notorious for violence. Police temporarily shut it down in 2010, but it managed to reopen. Last July, two men were shot and five others stabbed outside the club. Club Heat, another place known for violence, was the location of a fatal shooting in December 2011. EBT cash withdrawals have also been at a gay bar and tobacco shop.

If you are old enough to rape and that too in a gang rape, you deserve to be treated as an adult, that too a criminal of the worst order.

A Delhi court on Monday ordered in-camera trial of the Delhi gangrape case and restrained the media from reporting and publishing trial proceedings.
The magisterial court took cognizance of the chargesheet on Saturday and had issued production warrants for the five accused for Monday. The matter will come up for hearing on January 10. A copy of the chargesheet has been provided to the accused.
Allowing the police plea for conducting in-camera proceedings, Aggarwal shared the apprehension raised by the public prosecutor regarding the safety of the undertrial prisoners. She quoted the Saket court complex’s lock-up in-charge, who said that he was unable to bring the accused in the court for want of safe passage or room in the courtroom.
The sources said the juvenile court was not satisfied with the age-related documents presented Monday by the principal of the school in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun and asked him to produce more documents related to the juvenile’s age by January 15.
The juvenile, one of the six accused in the gang-rape of a 23-year-old trainee paramedical in a moving bus here December 16, had done his primary education from the school.
