TRAI declares now that it has never recommended neither auction or increase in the entry fee of Telecom Spectrum between 2007 and 2009.
It also states that ‘it is not possible to “predict with certainty” the precise value of spectrum that could have been earned from the auction of telecom waves.’
So does it imply TRAI has approved of Raja‘s policies?
‘ Telecom regulator Trai’s new 2G spectrum pricing parameters issued on Wednesday confirm an enormous loss to the nation on account of the spectrum sale in 2008 at 2001 prices. It also flies in the face of the government’s efforts to undermine the CAG report.
A detailed analysis by four experts for Trai shows a loss of about Rs 1.24 lakh crore — which is about 30% short of the Rs 1.76 lakh crore loss estimated by the CAG on the basis of last year’s 3G auction prices. But it is double the three other loss estimates of the CAG — Rs 57,666 crore, Rs 67,364 crore and Rs 69,626 crore, which were based on subsequent stake sales by Swan and Unitech and S Tel‘s offer to DoT to buy spectrum.-ET 11 Feb,2011.
Though it is known to people who have been following the 2 G scam that the Congress is involved, they have been waiting for information from the co-conspirators.
Raja is now implicating the PM stating that he as in the know of grant of licences to Unitech and Swann and had the PM wanted he could have referred it to GoM.
May be Raja is not the right person to say so but it is a fact.
But even if the PM had wanted to do so, he could not have done so as the policy making of telecom lecences have been taken away from GoM by Dayanidhi Maran(Read my blog on this)
In fact the present accusation is aimed at Maran more.

2 G Raja is expected to follow suit to implicate Dayanidhi Maran in 2 G Scam as well as other Scams when Maran was a Central Minister.
It may be recalled Raja was the replacement of Maran at the Center after he was forced to resign by Karunanidhi, following publication of a Survey in their magazine stating that Stalin was preferred as CM next to Karunanidhi.
Raja , being close to Kanimozhi was accommodated in the Cabinet to appease Kanimozhi declared on assuming office that Maran was responsible for irregularities in the Telecom Ministry.
Maran was in wilderness for a while till Karunanidhi patched up with him.
Maran believes that Kanimozhi and co responsible for his problems and Kanimozhi and Raja believe Maran to be responsible for their media exposure in the 2 G scam.
Kalanidhi Maran‘s(elder brother and Boss of SUN NETWORK Group) close friend publicly declared in Times Now News Channel that the corruption Charges about Maran were fabricated by A.Raja when he was Telecom Minister.
It was also reported that Kanimozhi,her mother Rajathi and Raja celebrated the mentioning of Maran by the CBI in the Chargesheet in 2 G scam by distributing Laddus.
Taking a cue from Saxena,Raja is likely to involve Dayanidhi Maran further in the 2 G Scam.
Maran is bound to retaliate.

Police sources said Saxena was more forthcoming on Saturday while being interrogated. “He gave some information about many business transactions. He said he was but an employee who was doing his duty as directed by his superiors. He said he had no independent role to play and that several complaints are being filedon thesamedeal,to fix him,” a police officer said.
He is reported to have informed CBI on the selling of Aircel to Maxis, the amount involved.
It may be recalled that Sivasankaran of Aircel had informed CBI that he was pressurised into selling Aircel to Maxis by Dayanidhi Maran, at a price lower by $500 Millions and that the Stanchart knew of this.
Let us see how many sheaf papers Maran is going to weave in front of the media ,denying this accusation.
The CBI has widened its net in the Aircel-Maxis probe. The CBI has questioned two executives of the Standard Chartered , reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.
C Sivasankaran, former chief of Aircel who alleged that Dayanidhi Maran muscled him to sell Aircel to Malaysia-based Maxis, had cited StanChart bankers as witnesses.
He also claimed that the bankers knew Maran’s pressure tactics, add sources.
Dayanidhi Maran seems to have learned a trick or two from his Great Uncle Corruption Karunanidhi on how to browbeat people into doing things which they do not want to,by flexing muscles , political,monetary,rowdy.
