I have been writing this blog since 2009. I have focussed on the history of Ancient India and explanation Vedic practices as found in the original texts. Temples which have unique characteristics in terms of architectural excellence, astronomical significance and Parihara Sthalas have been covered in detail. And special remedies offered by Hinduism for Life’s problems have been explained. These include, Pitru dosha parihara, for early marriage, marital discord begetting children ,court and financial issues, mental health, insomnia, specific disorders like Autism,Heart, Kidney issues….

I have translated the Five Sukthas,Sri Rudra and Chamaka in Tamil.

Since the last few years, many have been requesting me to conduct Online Classes on Vedic Texts and Slokas.

So I have started Sloka classes since March 2022 and I am impressed by the interest shown by the participants. My sloka classes are more on detailed exposition of the texts, with meanings, explanation from The six Systems of Indian philosophy,Vedas and interpreting the ancient texts in modern scientific terms including Quantum theory.Hence the classes are more of dialogues with question and answers.Questions are posted in the relevant WhatsApp group and are answered.Sloka audios are sent to enable the participants to learn and they are encouraged to record their audio to enable me to correct them. In short, the classes are for Serious Spiritual Seekers..

Katapayadi, Indian System Improve Memory Recall Rules

Sanatan Dharma teaches not only the procedures to realise the Supreme Reality, the causeless Cause of the Universe, it also abounds in practical tips to run the earthly life, be it researching Nature,Scientific concepts, lifestyle and ways to develop skills. One such is the Katapayadi system that helps one to enhance memory and recall.Ancient Hindus have developed systems to enhance memory and recall by designing techniques to learn by heart and recall instantly throughout one’s life what one has Learned. This technique is used to learn the Vedas, the Sacred text of the Hindus. Sacred texts of Hindus have been transmitted only orally over the past five thousand years and the Vedas are being transmitted by this method even now. Vedas are to be learnt only by hearing them. So they are called Sruthi, which is heard( Srothram).

Another technique iska·ṭa·pa·yā·di system (Devanagari: कटपयादि, also known as Paralppēru, Malayalam: പരല്‍പ്പേര്) of numerical notation is an ancient Indian alphasyllabic numeral system to depict letters to numerals for easy remembrance of numbers as words or verses. Assigning more than one letter to one numeral and nullifying certain other letters as valueless, this system provides the flexibility in forming meaningful words out of numbers which can be easily remembered. Katapayadi. This system was also used for passing secret messages.

    Rules of Katapayadi .

Following verse found in Śaṅkaravarman’s Sadratnamāla explains the mechanism of the system.

    नञावचश्च शून्यानि संख्या: कटपयादय:।
    मिश्रे तूपान्त्यहल् संख्या न च चिन्त्यो हलस्वर:॥

    Transliteration:

    nanyāvacaśca śūnyāni saṃkhyāḥ kaṭapayādayaḥ
miśre tūpāntyahal saṃkhyā na ca cintyo halasvaraḥ

Translation: na (न), ña (ञ) and a (अ)-s, i.e., vowels represent zero. The nine integers are represented by consonant group beginning with kaṭapaya. In a conjunct consonant, the last of the consonants alone will count. A consonant without a vowel is to be ignored.

Explanation: The assignment of letters to the numerals are as per the following arrangement (In Devanagari, Kannada, Telugu & Malayalam respectively).

Demo of the system in mathematics and Astronomy.

Indian mathematics is the discipline of mathematics as it developed in the Indian subcontinent. The mathematics of classical Indian civilization is an intriguing blend of the familiar and the strange. For the modern individual, Indian decimal place-value numerals may seem familiar—and, in fact, they are the ancestors of the modern decimal system1.

In the classical period of Indian mathematics (400 CE to 1200 CE), important contributions were made by scholars like Aryabhata, Brahmagupta, Bhaskara II, and Varāhamihira2. Ancient Indian mathematicians have contributed immensely to the field of mathematics. The invention of zero is attributed to Indians and this contribution outweighs all other made by any other nation since it is the basis of the decimal number system, without which no advancement in mathematics would have been possible

Though Hinduism advocates The Realization of the Self, which is a Principle beyond Attributes, Hinduism recommends the worship of gods in the form of Idols.

In this sense in Hinduism, God exists in Form and at the same time does not.

For details read my post ‘God Exis, Yes And No’

Worship of Gods in Human forms that in a form which one likes is a special feature of Hinduism.

In theory therefore there are, in this perspective, as many Gods as there are tendencies,

Details of Worship of Gods is also provided.

Of the innumerable Gods and Goddesses, Adi Sankaracharya chose Six and regulated the worship, The Shanmathas.

Please read my blog on this.

There are various ways one can worship these Gods and Goddesses.

Goddess Lalitha is worshipped in Four different ways.

The worship of Goddess Lalitha is called Sri Vidya.

Sri Vidya is to be practised by any of the following Four ways, traditions

    1. Samayacharam. Worshipping in The Mind.

Worship is done mentally, internally and no object is used in this tradition

    2. Dakshinacharam, Worshiping through an Object, Sri Chakra or an Idol.

    3. Vamacharam is worshipping through the terrible aspects of The Divine, Laya Pradhana

Kaulacharam is worshipping through the Human Body/parts.

This includes Rituals some of which are erotic in nature.

    It is Tantra Shastra.

  • Don’t Rewrite History Advice Reserved For India, Hindus?

Don’t Rewrite History Advice Reserved For India, Hindus?

Now a new litany has started in India in response to Indians awakening to their ancient past and places of worship . It is a well known fact invaders, from Alexander to the British plundered India and though all of them were involved in destroying Hindu places of worship, the prize goes to Islam which has destroyed the maximum number of temples,at times the same temple over many a time, and converted them into Mosques.

When people who have an inclination to know their past history, try to correct the injustices and looting and try to reclaim their past, the advice of ‘Great Visionaries ‘ is to advise , Don’t rewrite History ‘

    Excellent.

I am not a Learned man nor a spiritual one,far from it. Being an idiot, I have a few questions.

    • Is the advice of ‘ Don’t rewrite History ,limited only to India?
    • Does it apply to other nations as well?
    • If so, what about these countries?
    • Cambodia
    • Laos
    • Vietnam
    • Thailand
    • Malaysia
    • Fiji
    • Newzealand
    • Australia
    • Pakistan
    • Burma
    • Sri Lanka
    • Bangladesh
    • Iran
    • Iraq
    • Turkey
    • Saudi Arabia
    • Emirates
    • Bulgaria
    • Romania
    • Germany
    • Italy
    • France
    • UK
    • Nordic countries
    • Russia
    • US
    • Peru
    • Honduras
    • Mexico
    • Africa

I have not mentioned the countries by merely looking at the maps. The reason will be evident if you follow the link here.

    Marthand Sun Temple, Pakistan.
Pharaoh with Vaishnava Marks from museum

Try refuting the information. They are sourced from your favourite Western Free thinkers. Now ask all of them to rewrite their history.

When somebody steals from you and is not even repentant,on top of it, claims it their legacy ,what history are you talking about? To claim your Heritage is a Sin?Try saying it to Islam, Christianity .Still better ask the Jews, the only race with balls( sorry for the language here).Try talking to the Holocaust Survivors. Did they leave the misery heaped upon their race and killing of millions as if nothing has happened?

Shall we leave the areas recently captured by China as History? Shall I stop attempting to recover my property from the one who had stolen it from me and asserts it is Right?

    May be I Am Dumb.
