Vedanta Desika (Swami DesikanSwami Vedanta DesikanThoopul Nigamaantha Desikan) (1269–1370) was a Sri VaishnavaGuru. He was a poetdevoteephilosopher and master-teacher. He was the disciple of Swamy Sri Kidambi Appullar alias Sri Aathreya Ramanujachariar who comes in the lineage starting from Sri Ramanuja with Sri Thirukurugai Piran Pillan alias Sri Kurugesar,Sri Kidambi Aachan, Sri Aathreya Ramanujar, Sri Aathreya Rangarajachariar and many in the order. He is considered as an Avatar(incarnation) of the divine bell of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumalai by Sri Vaishavites.

    Vidyaranya.

It was while Sri Vidyaranya was doing tapas at Matanga hill that the two warrior brothers, Harihara and Bukka, sons of Sangama, approached him. Directed by a dream, they sought his blessings and guidance. Earlier, these two brothers had been taken prisoner and led to Delhi. It is believed they were under compulsion to embrace Islam. But the Delhi ruler recognising their valour sent them back to the south. They were sent back as the heads of an army to contain the rebellions brewing in the Deccan.

Seizing this opportunity, the two brothers asserted their independence. With the guidance and blessings of Sri Vidyaranya, they established their own independent kingdom with its capital on the left bank of Tungabhadra river. Following the sage’s counsel, they shifted their capital to the right bank, naming it Vidyanagara, as a mark of respect and gratitude to the sage, whom they regarded as their Guru, God and saviour. The city, which came to be popularly known as Vijayanagara or City of Victory was planned in accordance with the directions of sage Vidyaranya in the form of a Sri Chakra

Shankaracharya, was/is the greatest Adavaitin and the Greatest Intellect Humanity has seen.

Swami Vedanta Desikan, Great Exponent and Visishtavaita, master of Sanskrit prose and

Vidyaranya, the brain behind the establishment of Vijaya Nagara Empire.

Laksmi appeared before Shankaracharya after he beseeched her to come to the help of a poor woman,Kanakahra Sthavam.

    Mahalakshmi appeared thrice for Vidyaranya.

Vidyaranya wanted to establish an Empire with Harihara and Bukka.

Being a poor Brahmin he did not have the wealth to do it.

    He prayed Lakshmi.

When she appeared in person, he was so overwhelmed, he did not ask Her for anything.

This happened for the second time.

Still he did not ask  Her.

The third time when She appeared,, on being asked by Her why he called Her, he remembered He prayed Her for Wealth.

He immediately felt ashamed and told Her,

“Mother , I invoked You for Wealth to establish an Empire.

I now realize that it is a mistake.

For the Mother knows what the child needs.

I am sorry I thought of Wealth, when You are There.

Vijayanagara Empire was established successfully by Her Grace.

On Desika I had a reference but seems to have misplaced it.

There seems to be no information on the web.

  • For Success In Any Endeavor Mantra Shankaracharya

I have posted Five Mantras which will grant immediate relief for problems faced by us.

One would have noticed that all these mantras are not directed to One God or Goddess.

Nor are they culled from one source.

    Reason?

By faith I am an Advaitin, Nirguna Upasana.

Yet my Istha Devata is Tirukkadavur Abhirami.

While I trust Her implicitly, for She has taken care of me at the most difficult time of my Life,I have used many Mantras on various occasions, either for

    me or for others .

    Image of Bala Tripura Sunari.jpg.
    Bala Tripura Sundari

I have found, without exception, that all the Mantras delivered the result.

Hence the different Mantras are being posted based on my personal experience.

People may use, if they come across some other Mantras, if they come from a reliable source.

In all the Mantras I have posted, I have included the Bheeja Mantras as well.

Please use the Bheeja Mantras only after getting initiated from a Guru.

You shall get a Guru if you are ardent enough.

If this is not forth coming, one may pray Lord Subramanya at Swamimalai and start the Mantra.

    Or Hayagriva at Thiruvahhendrapuram

One faces challenges in Life and one gets over them too.

At times, one gets disheartened and loses initiative.

Nothing seems to work, despite your sincere effort.

Reason is that for any action to bear fruit, there are others factors, which are beyond our control, which have to contribute.

This is possible only if He Desires we should have the result, His Kadaaksha must be behind us.

Be it  getting a job, getting married, good education, removal of poverty, good spouse,,good children Health without disease, getting children

married, for Grand children, economic prosperity, ageing without problems .

Adi Shankaracharya  in his Soundarya Lahari has hidden the Bheeja mantras of the Devi in the 51 slokas composed by him (out of 57, the rest being

given to him by Lord Ganesha).

The following Mantra shall ensure that you shall succeed in any endeavor you undertake.

Please follow the general rules for reciting the mantras as detailed in my other posts.

I have provided additional information on this sloka, for the benefit of Sri Vidya Upasakas.

Smaram yonim lakshmeem tritaya-mida-maadau tava mano
    Nidhaayaike nitye niravadhi-mahabhoga-rasikaah
    Bhajanti twaam cintaamani-gunanibaddhaaksha-valayaah
    Sivaagnau juhvantah surabhigrita-dhaaraahuti-sataih

Smaram – “Kleem” the Kaama beeja mantra
yonim – “Hreem the Buvaneswari beeja mantra”
lakshmeem – “Sreem” the Lakshmi beeja mantra
    idam tritayam – these three
    aadau – in the beginning
    tava – your
mano – of the panchadasaaksaree mantra [ the divine mind ]
    Nidhaaya – combining
    yeke – few persons
nitye – Oh! eternal! Goddess Supreme!
niravadhi-mahabhoga-rasikaah – knowing the aananda from the continuous unbroken japa
Bhajanti – do the aaraadhana or pooja
    twaam – you
cintaamani-gunanibaddha aksha-valayaah – making the continuous stream of thoughts as the japamaala
Sivaagnau – in the agni in the sakti triangle in the Sri Cakra
    juhvantah – doing [ offer ]
surabhigrita-dhaaraahuti-sataih – hundreds of aahutis by the aatmaananda obtained by the ghee given by kaamadhenu

Oh! eternal Goddess Supreme! few persons knowing the aananda obtained from the continuous unbroken japa, do the aaraadhana or pooja for you, making the continuous stream of thoughts as the japamaala, in the beginning of Your divine Panca Dasa Aksharee mantra, combining the three “Kleem” [ the Kaama beeja mantra ], “Hreem [ the Buvaneswari beeja mantra ], “Sreem” [the Lakshmi beeja mantra], offer hundreds of aahutis by the ghee given by Kaamadhenu in the Agni in the Sakti triangle in the Sri Cakra.

Similarity between the Panca-Dasa-Aksharee mantra and Saavitree mantra.

In the Panca-Dasa-Aksharee mantra there are three kootaas whereas in the Savitree mantra, there are three paadaas.

If we add with the Savitree mantra, the three vyaahritees Bhoo, Bhuvah, Suvah, then the mantra gets converted to Gayatri mantra.
In the Panca-Dasa-Aksharee mantra, if you add three of the five vimarsa pranava mantras called aim, hreem, sreem kleem, sowh, then the mantra gets converted to sowbhagya pancadasaaksharee.

    In this sloka it is directed to add Sreem-Hreem-Kleem;
there is also another alternative mantra called sowbhagya mantra which is formed by adding aim-kleem-sow in the beginning of each koota.

    Sivaagnih :-
In the triangular shaped kunda if you form the agni, it is called sivaagnih. Great devotees, offer pure ghee obtained from cow on this agni with the bhaavanaa “sivoham” and apply all their actions [manasaa, vaacaa, karmanaa] to the god.

    Bhavanopanishad says :-
Aham twam asti naasti kartavyam akartavyam
    upaasitavyamiti vikalpaanaa-maatmani vilaapanam homah.
Juhwantah – offer to agni the goddess – this is called antar yaaga.
Chintaamani guna nibaddhaakshavalayaa – the japamaalaa has fifty one akshara shape. In that the place for the letter “Khsa” is called “meru”.

It is the sacred stone in the centre of the japamaalaa. Once you do the japa with the maalaa- counting, you should not cross over the meru, but go in the reverse direction then on reaching the meru.
The devotees can do this offering in one of the three ways depending on their mental condition; if he is a beginner [not a spiritual one], then he can do the offering with the materials in the agni physically formed one.

Second case is, he can offer the mentally prepared aahuti in the mentally prepared agni.
The third case is [for a spiritual seeker] , he can offer the aahuti in the agni in his own heart of hearts.

Bhagavaan Ramana Maharishi thus in his “Upadesa Saaram” thus :-
    Kaaya vaag mana kaaryamuttamam
    poojanm japa cintanam kramaat

    Smaram yonim lakshmeem :-
    Smaram represent “ha“kaara
    Yonim represent “sa”kaara
    Lakshmeem represent “ka”kaara

In the sloka referred in sloka 32, in the mantra,
“ka ye ee la hreem ha sa ka ha la hreem sa ka la hreem”

Replace the first three letters by “ha sa ka”, “haadi vidyaa” or “lopaamudraa vidyaa” is formed.
Aksha maalaa – is a prateeka of the sabda brahma which is imperishable which is also appearing as the destructive prapanca.

    Antar nirantara nirindhanamedhamaane
    Mohaandhakaara paripanthini samvidagnau
    Kasmimcidadbhoota mareeci vikaasa bhoomau
    Viswam juhomi vasudhaadi sivaavasaanam

In the inner heart of hearts, unbroken, but without indhana, lighting and destroying the mohaandhakaara and for the strange mareecis serve as vikaasa bhoomi – such a samvit shaped agni –
in this agni, I offer everything and anything in the world including Earth and Siva. [this is aatma samarpanam]

    Citation.

  • Purusha Suktha Generates Electricity Prototype

I had a very interesting comment on my post on Electricity and  Vedas shared in Facebook.

The comment was to the effect that the information in  the Indian Texts are so allegorical and descriptive that it is very difficult to sift Data from  these.

    True,

My reply was that I have, with the help of references from the Internet and Books, have been positing articles  and these may be found under

    Astrophysics and Science.

Interpretations of the Vedic texts depends on the reader as well.

Apart from a good exposure to Sanskrit one has to have a grounding in Indian Philosophical systems, not only the Vedas and the subject matter he

wants to look for in the Vedas.

If one wants to find references to Quantum Theory, one should have a clear understanding of Quantum so that one knows what to look for.

I found an interesting interpretation of the Purusha Sukta.

Based on the first two lines a Prototype of an Electrical Motor was developed and it generated Power!

The Power Input was 126 Watts, Output  303 Watts.

This is achievement as there is an additional generation of Power from 126 to 333.

Quantum Theory states there is a Vacuum  at the Sub-Atomic level, called the Quantum Vacuum Field.

    Hinduism differs here.

It states that there is no vacuum but Ether that contains Electricity.

I recently delivered a Lecture on this subject.

I shall post an article and Video on this shortly.

    Now Power from Purusha Sukta.

The first shlokha of purusha-sooktha reads as follows:
Sahasra sirsha purusha: | sahasraksha: sahasrapaa |
Sa bhUmim vishvato vRtvA | atyatishTad daSAngulam ||

If it is deciphered normally, we get the following meaning:

With Thousands of heads, Thousands of eyes, and Thousands of feet, he (the supreme god) moves, as all of creation verily is he uncountable. He is beyond the grasp of the hands of men.

Now let us see how Mr. Satish Chandra has deciphered:

Out of the ten directions, in 8 directions excluding earth and sky and by firmly installing 8 gadgets (alternators) on the circumference of a circle, which contains numerous positive and negative charges, such that each one will face their own charges i.e. positive to positive and negative to negative and by rotating a runner like earth in a cylindrical way (in the centre) in between them will generate energy.

Based on his interpretation, he has come up with a prototype (see the first picture below) where he has used four magnets (static alternators) and one motor (runner) in the centre.

The common runner and the static alternators are mechanically isolated from each other and are magnetically coupled.

Just by rotating the common runner all the static alternators generate power independently.

The common runner may be rotated by means of a diesel engine or water turbine or steam turbine or an electrical motor.

For the prototype model he has used a 126 Watts of motor. Using this he is able to drive power of 303 Watts power for 12 chimney bulbs and 8 tube-lights (See the second picture below).

     Motor Based on veia_1.jpg
Motor That runs based on Veda
     Tube light shine_vedic_2.jpg
Tube Lights shine out power by Vedas

Taking this concept further an Organisation has a Project for Power Generation.

However, his fascination with finding the “better way” of energy generation and inspiration by the theory that ancient Vedas are encoded knowledge of the mankind passed on through thousands of years in the form of religious prayers and rituals. pushed him into deep study of the sacred writings, especially the Purusha Sookta, which proved to be a treasury of scientific knowledge in energy generation.

For the past 29 years Satishchandra spends every free moment of his busy life pursuing the intellectual discoveries of our forefathers which he decrypted in deep meditation. And what rich and beautiful discoveries these are! After years of rebuking and ridicule, the scientific world is finally taking notice and recognizes that yes, Satishchandra was right by persisting in his pursuit of the ancient truths that we only are beginning to understand now, with all our advanced science.

His prototype of a static alternator built exactly as per instructions of the first Sloka of the Purusha Sookta gave further inspiration for further scientific research into the links between the Vedic and modern science. What is most fascinating, is that the principles of physics exhibited in Vedic alternator are the same as those of particle accelerators, electron storage rings, pulse lasers and other most advanced achievements of modern physics that concentrate and focus the magnetic field.

The Vedic static alternator has been patented as an offering at the lotus feet of Mother India

  • Saneeswara Stotra By Dasaratha and More

Hindus believe that the Nine Planets foretell the future.

It is believed that one can appease them by performing Poojas and reciting Mantras,

Sani or Saturn is called Saneswara.

The Correct name is Sanaiswara(Sanaischara), one which moves slowly.

Some other names of Sanaischara) are ,

Shanaishcharaya, Pingala, Bhabru or Roudra. Pingala means bearer of the Trishul, the trident, Mandhan.

In Vedic Astrology, Shiva is said to be represented by Saturn.

    <img src="Saneeswara.jpg" alt="Saneeswara" />
    Lord Saneeswara

Saturn, like Shiva, strips away maya, the veil of illusion and separate self. Saturn takes aim at the imprinting we have experienced around separation

    consciousness.

Sani is the brother of  Yama , the God of Death and Righteousness.

Sani’s wives names are Mandhi Devi and Jyeshta Devi.

His sons are Mandhi and Kuligan.

It is wrongly believed that Sani indicates troubles.

He is a Man of Gnana, like Ketu.

He tests one with adversity and one who has the mental strength emerges stronger.

I believe that the Navagrahas do not by themselves cause prosperity or Adversity.

    They are like Traffic signals.

Like a Traffic Signal they indicate the directions your life might take, based on your actions. past and present, Karma Phala.

As such one has to withstand the pressures exerted by the Planets.

On this concept, the Vishnu Sahasranama has an excellent sloka.

    It calls Lord Vishnu as,

    ‘Dhukka bhukh, Dhukka Saadhana:’

Vishnu is the repository of  Dhukka, adversity , but,

He is also the One who grants you the strength, tools to overcome the trials and tribulations.

Hinduism is the only Religion which dares to call God as the repository of Adversity!

As such one can not escape the results of one’s actions .

What can be done is to pray the Navagrahas and God to grant the strength to overcome the difficulties.

Here are some Stotras on Saneeswara.

Rare , effective ‘Dasaratha’s Sanieeswara Stotra.

Saturn enters the star constellation (or nakshatra) – called Rohini once in every 30 years.

This is one of the most dreaded transits of the kings and their kingdoms.

The scriptures say “Kings will die and kingdoms will fall when Shani enters Rohini”.

It is said that during the reign of King Dasaratha when Shani was about to enter Rohini nakshatra, King Dasaratha worshipped Shani.

Pleased with the King’s prayers, Saturn did not enter Rohini during the reign of King Dasaratha.

Hence the Dasaratha Shani Stotras are considered an excellent remedy for Saturn related troubles.

  • Mohenjo-Daro Destroyed by Indra Archaeology Hinduism

Hinduism speaks of  Four types of Pralaya or Dissolution of the Universe.

    They are.

    FromVishnu Purana and Agni Purana,.

Praakritik Pralaya, which is of 311,040,000,000,000 solar years duration, occurs after the completion of life of Brahma (i.e. 100 Brahma years = 311 trillion and 40 billion earth years = one day of Vishnu = 1 Parama). After the completion of one Brahma life cycle, the complete dissolution of all the entities (i.e. the Pancha Mahabhutha or Universe) takes place in the eternity (God). Praakritik Pralaya is the time for which Vishnu sleeps. The next morning, he again gives birth to a new Lord Brahma and asks him to create new worldly entities. Noticeably, Praakritik Pralaya and the Life of Brahma are of equal duration.

Naimittika Pralaya, which is of 4,320,000,000 earth years, occurs just after the end of a Kalpa.

Also, known as the Night of Brahma, it signifies the end of living world.

In Bhagvata Purana, sage Shukdeva told king Parikshit that if Lord Brahma is supposed to be a child (for example), then in a similar way as a child plays with his toys i.e. making various structures from his toys during day and breaking or dismantling them before he goes to sleep at night; Brahma makes the living world during his day (i.e. Kalpa) and destroys it before going to sleep during night (i.e. Naimittika Pralaya). A new living world is created by Brahma, when he wakes up the next day and so on the cycle continues till Praakritik Pralaya. Again, Naimittika Pralaya and Kalpa are of equal duration.

Atyantik Pralaya, also termed as Moksha, is the final deliverance or the attainment of salvation by a jivan (soul) and after that the jivan is never again in the clutches of karma; nor bounded by the tight ropes of Samsara. It is therefore a variable time span conditioned or determined by the practise of the different kind of Yogas or Prapatti.

It is the final immersion of a soul (i.e. atma), thereby completely eliminating its individualism into the eternal almighty (i.e. Paramatma).

Nitya Pralaya, is the sleep or by an extension thereof, Death.

    Life Of Brahma,Brahma Life Span

In Naimithika Pralaya, that is at the end of the Day of Brahma’ the world is consumed by ferocious fire, people in Boo, Bhuva, Suvah Loka are

destroyed and the people living in Mahar Loka move over to Jana Loka.

Then these three worlds are inundated with water.

Now archaeologists have found in Mohenja0- Daro,

” the one anomaly among several at the site that has caused some researchers to suggest that there might have been forces unleashed in the past that are comparable to modern weapons. Walls, pottery and other items found in the city have been turned into a kind of ceramic glass, indicating that they were exposed to heat close to 1500 degrees Celsius. Evidence of ionizing radiation has also been found in some of the burial sites.

The oldest myths of the Hindu religion, itself one of the oldest religions in the world, speak of gods flying in vehicles composed of dazzling light and intricately carved platforms calledvimanas, that waged war with one another using energy beams of incredible power. In the Hindu religious text known as the Mahabharata, there is a description of one such vehicle:

“Gurkha flying in his swift and powerful Vimana hurled against the three cities of the Vrishis and Andhakas a single projectile charged with all the power of the Universe. An incandescent column of smoke and fire, as brilliant as ten thousands suns, rose in all its splendor. It was the unknown weapon, the Iron Thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and Andhakas.”

The thunderbolt is the weapon of Indra:he wields a lightning thunderbolt known as vajra and rides on a white elephantknown as Airavata.

    indra, God of Thunder
    Indra,God of Thunder_

Indra is the supreme deity and is the twin brother of Agni.

Many speculations have been forthcoming about what the vimanas were or what the Iron Thunderbolt might have been. Some of the more imaginative examples see UFO’s and alien spacecraft waging war against the backdrop of primitive humanity, leaving behind a mythological image of gods and demons in conflict. Since the old races were unable to comprehend the idea of technologies on such a vast scale, the only alternative was to invest the phenomena that they observed with divine power.

Rather than presupposing a visitation from a super race of extraterrestrials, it is more probable that natural events – although orders of magnitude beyond what we experience today – imprinted themselves on the psyches of our ancestors and inspired the reports of gods in the sky.”

Erich Von Daniken believes that extraterrestrials destroyed the earth by Atomic or similar weapons.
