16,000 Traffic Violations a Day, Bangalore, We are Proud

Bangalore has the dubious distinction of the Top City in Traffic violations with 16, 000 people violating traffic rules.

In June 2012, Bangalore  “with a two-wheeler population of 28.8 lakh, saw 10.35 lakh riders being slapped with fines till June-end. Drivers of light motor vehicles, including cars and autorickshaws, are second only to two-wheeler riders. Nearly 7.75 lakh of them had violated one rule or the other.”

Well Bangalore now along with IT has become Chaotic Traffic Symbol of India.

The city was not meant to handle heavy vehicular traffic.

In addition mismanagement adds to the confusion.

Normally it is the policemen who create Traffic jams.

If you want to verify this, next tome to find a Traffic Jam, you shall find a Policemen in the middle.

The moment he disappears traffic flows instinctively.

You may also notice the side lanes near an elevated over pass are with pot holes.

New subways are always flooded with sewage water.

And where else can you see the Signal counter showing 220 seconds!

You need not go into a Shop for purchase.

A look at Malleswaram will tell you how!

Grin and Bear it.

M.G.Road is not to be left behind.

  1. I think these are the pics of malleshwaram 8th cross during some festival, when its blocked for vehicals, or else its a not as they have shown. This I can say with confidence, since I stay there. And speaking frankly I feel bangalore is kind of mini heaven in India when compared to any other city. every thing has its pros and cons.

    1. You are right.
These pictures were taken during some festival.
I have posted it to high light the hazard it poses to traffic and pedestrians.
This area now looks like Ranganathan Street in Tnagar,Chennai.
Now Ranganathan Street has been cleared of this (when I saw it two months back.
It might have cropped up again!

  2. Every metro violations is an issue. I would atleast say, bangalore police is working properly. Here in chennai, at every signal, you can see more than 50 2-wheelers standing ahead of the stop line, and at every signal this happens.

    1. True.
I have discounted Chennai as Law abiding State since the entry of DMK hooligans.
You do not have police ther only AIADMK or DMK Karai veshtis in Uniforms.
