Vice Chancellor Mananar Jawahar announced on Television that the Engineering Counselling is postponed and fresh date will be announced.Watch out,

“The engineering cut-off of top colleges under the Anna University Counselling 2012 (TNEA 2012) single window counselling is suggested to go down to by 0.5. The reason for this decrease in the Anna University Engineering Cutoff is that only 1,921 students have secured above 198 out of 200 in Maths, Physics and Chemistry together, compared to 2,684 last year.

The number of students who secured centum in mathematics in 2011 was 2,720 , while this year, it is 2,656.

The reduction in the number of physics centums might not affect the admission scenario to Anna University Counselling 2012 significantly, but will cause ‘internal sliding’ say experts.

This means that for a lot of students from the same community with the same marks, the college will be determined by their physics marks, after their maths marks are compared.

This is because when deciding the total aggregate rank, after comparing the Engineering Cutoffs for Anna University Counselling 2012, Maths Marks and then Physics marks will be considered. This makes Physics Marks the ultimate decider of Colleges

But it also depends on the decisions of Top 1000 Rank Scorers. Because some of them Prefer IITs and NITs than joining colleges by Anna University Counselling.

Tamilnadu Medical Counselling 2012 for MBBs and BDS in Tamilnadu is scheduled to start on July 2 and the applications for Tamilnadu Medical Counselling 2012 will be issued from May 15, announced Government of Tamilnadu . In the situation that the Tamilnadu Plus 2 Results are going to be announced on May 22, Tamilnadu government has announced this.

Schedule of Tamilnadu Medical Counselling 2012 for the admission of students to MBBS and BDS in Government and Self financing Medical Colleges in Tamilnadu has been released.According to this, official announcements regarding issue of applications for Tamilnadu Medical Counselling 2012 will be advertised in Tamilnadu daily Newspapers on May 13.
Applications can be bought or downloaded from the website from May 15. May 30, 3 PM is the last date for receiving the applications. July 2 is the last date to get back the applications. Random Number will be issued on June 15. Announcement of eligibility of Marks of students will be on June 20.

And the Tamilnadu Medical Counselling 2012 will be on July 2. Information on Second Phase Tamilnadu Medical Counselling 2012 will be issued in web after the First Phase is over.

Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the centres detailed below by paying ` 500/- (` 250/-
for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu, on production of a photocopy of the Permanent Community
Card) towards application fee, by cash/demand draft.

2. By Post
Application forms can also be obtained by post from The Secretary, Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions
(TNEA), Anna University, Chennai – 600 025 by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for
` 700/- (` 450/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu with a photocopy of the Permanent Community
Card) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application form is to be mailed.

4. All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions”
payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised Bank dated on or after 11.05.2012. Candidates are instructed to
