They revealed several interesting statistics. Of the 80 million Indians online, one-third of them are on social media sites. Breaking down the stats, there are about:
- 28 million Facebook users
- 9 million Twitter users
- 9 million LinkedIn users in India.
- Social media is so popular among Indian Internet users that consulting firms in the country will hire 35 percent of their staff from LinkedIn and other social sites online.
