How To Distribute Money to Voters.

Now that Elections are announced in some states in India ,political parties are wooing the Voters big time.

In Tamil Nadu , freebies find their way into manifestos.

One has to read them to be flabbergasted.

Separate blog on this follows.

Now let us look at the ways these parties are resorting   to circumvent the Election Commission and  Governmental Agencies.

Sending Dhoties(Men’s wear) and Sarees(for women)  by truck loads.

Since they are being caught, voters are given a budget and referred to some shops where they can buy the clothes with out bill, by producing photocopy of Electoral ID card.

Manufacturers of Dhoties and Sarees are advised  to send the material directly to the voters.

They are sent by Courier.

Distribution of Cash.

Usual method of distributing cash in a cover by visiting door to door is abandoned as the election Commission is watching, as also the opposition parties.

So cash is being shipped by trucks to a town addressed to some one who is not overtly connected with the party and he distributes and takes a commission of 2%

Now that the Trucks and cars are being intercepted, the parties send two trucks from  the  same point to different destinations.

A man posing as an informer(he is of the party),informs the authorities  details of a Truck, amount of money  sent , destination etc .

While the authorities check at the point of origin, the vehicle bound for the destination is apprehended ,another vehicle with money passes through.

Usually the vehicle that gets caught has about Rs Ten Lakhs while the other one carries money in crores.

Another method is  to pay a portion of the voter’s loan from Private financiers.

Jewels under hock are redeemed(with in budget limits)

Cash is also sent by Courier.

Cash is also transported by Tricycles in card board boxes along with materials distributed to Retailers.

It is also sent in deep-freezers, consumer durable like Washing machine,

Saddest part is the Voters who comment

‘they have more than 1,76,000 lakh crores, let them pay’

(allusion to 2 G scam)
