When cheating one can always say we inherited this trait from our ancestor.
On a serious note we assume that certain behavioral patterns are unique to Human beings that distinguishes us from animals and for this very reason we presume to believe that we are superior to animals, conveniently forgetting that we are basically animals under the veneer of civilization and culture;scratch the surface, you will know.

In the first study of its kind, scientists have found that gorillas will hit each other and then run in the same manner as a kid’s game of tag. And they do it to keep a competitive edge on their playmates, often by cheating and using unfair tactics.
The research was headed by behavioral biologist Dr Marina Davila Ross of the University of Portsmouth in Hampshire, UK.
She told Sky News Online: “Our findings on gorilla play show important similarities with the children’s game of tag.
“Not only did the gorillas in our study hit their playmates and then run away, chased by their playmates, but they also switched their roles when hit so the chaser became the chased and vice versa.”
The research is the first to study if animals “respond to unfair situations in a natural social setting. Previous studies have all been carried out in laboratories.”
Dr Ross said: “Playing is an important platform for young individuals to develop and test their social, competitive and emotional skills.
“It is important to test your peers and see how they respond when you do something.
“Later on you may be dealing with the same individuals in different situations and you may know how they are likely to react.”
