    Rishis Definition Seven Types Details

    There are many terms that describe Men of Wisdom,Spiritual Teachers,Sages, Saints in Hinduism.

    Many of these terms are used without understanding the connotation of these terms.

    Munis,Rishis, Raja Rishis,Yogins are some these terms.

    Let us see what the Scriptures say about these terms.

    We shall see about the term Rishi.

    This term is usually translated as ‘Seer’, who has seen.

    This comes close to the meaning, but Rishi is more than seeing.

    “Rishi Darsanaath’-Yakasha in his Niruktam 2.11

    One who has seen Mantras (Mantra Drishtaa)
    Rishi is one who can see with superior vision what others cannot.

    Mantras, the mystically locked sounds are those that express an aspect of Reality.

    Some Mantras the Reality itself, Gayatri Mantra.

    These Mantras were grasped from the Ether by some people, who follow spiritual discipline.

    These were grasped intuitively, ‘Seen’

    ‘Rishati jnaanEna samsaarapaaram’ -Paninini in Vachaspatikosam.

    ‘one who crosses and reaches the other shore of the Sea of Samsara’

    The purpose of Life, according to Hinduism , is to transcend the cycle of Births and Deaths, Samsara.

    The Mantras help one to cross the endless Cycle of Births and Deaths.

    Rig Veda 1.31.16 and 9.96.18 describe  Rishi as ‘one who lights the flame of knowledge, one who stimulates thinking.’

    This is a corollary to the definition we have seen already.

    The Rishis  are associated with the  element of fire (Agni).

    Krishna Yajur Veda, 2nd Khaanda 5th Prasna, 8th Anuvaka calls a Rishi ‘Saamitheni, one who can kindle fire properly for performing Homa.

    Different Types of Rishis

    Rishi is a general term.

    Definition of Rishi.

    According to Indian tradition, the word may be derived from two different meanings of the root ‘rsh’ (ṛṣ). Sanskrit grammarians derive this word from the second meaning: “to go, to move”.V. S. Aptegives this particular meaning and derivation, and Monier-Williams also gives the same, with some qualification.

    Another form of this root means “to flow, to move near by flowing”. (All the meanings and derivations cited above are based upon Sanskrit English Dictionary of Monier-Williams). Monier-Williams also quotes Tārānātha who compiled the great (Sanskrit-to-Sanskrit) dictionary named “ṛṣati jñānena saṃsāra-pāram” (i.e., “one who reaches beyond this mundane world by means of spiritual knowledge”).

    More than a century ago, Monier-Williams tentatively suggested a derivation from drś “to see”. Monier-Williams also quotes the Hibernian (Irish) form arsan (a sage, a man old in wisdom) and arrach (old, ancient, aged) as related to rishi. Monier-Williams also conjectures that the root drish (to see) might have given rise to an obsolete root rish meaning “to see”.

    Following is the classification of Rishis.

    Vipra Rishis,

    Brahma Rishis,

    Deva Rishis,

    Daanava Rishis and

    Raja Rishis.

    Those who were priests by virtue of their birth as Brahmins  are Vipra Rishis? , Uthanga.

    Those who had realized Brahman?, The Reality through intense Tapas are Brahma Rishis, Vasishta, Atri, Viswamitra, Aaangirasa.

    Sage Naarada is known as Deva Rishi belonging to the Devas.

    Sukrachariar is Daanava Rishi due to his alignment with Asuras.

    Amarakosa classifies Seven types of Rishia.Shrutarshi, Kāndarshi, Paramarshi, Maharshi, Rājarshi, Brahmarshi and Devarshi.

    Though generally Rishis were Brahmins, there were a number of Kshatriyas or rulers who also achieved the status of Rishi by their Tapas.

    And, they were known as Taja Rishis,  Sage Viswamitra, Ambareesha, Trasadayu, Sibi Chakravarthi and Maandaata were in this category.

    King Janaka was a Raja Rishi.

    From which Caste, Community do they come from?

    Rishis are drawn from all the four Ashramams viz., Brahmacharya, Grihasta, Vaanaprasta and Sannyaasa

  • Rig Veda a Tamil Panchang, Almanac Another Misinformation

     

    I posted how a group has consistently been twisting facts and are misinterpreting Tamil literature,Vedas and the link between them.

    Considering the Nature of the sources, the best one can say about Tamil and Vedic Link is that while Tamil, which is now found to be at least 20,000

     

    years old(the time frame ranges from 17000 to 50000 years!) , they quote the Vedas Purans and Purans , in turn quote Tamils and Tamil Kings, is that

     

     

    both Tamil and Sanskrit are influenced by each other but which influenced what and when and how much is not clear.

     

    Such being the case, some who call them Scholars,(political appointees,)  mislead people into thinking that there is no link  between Tamil and Vedas.

     

    Once the internal evidence from Tamil Sangam Literature surfaced, they have started saying that Tholkappiyar was influenced by Sanskrit and Vedas!

     

    In the same breath they say that Rig Veda is  a Tamil Panchangam.

     

    If that were so why hate The Vedas and deny its link to Tamil?

     

    There was an article that Rig Veda is Tamil.

     

    If the view that Rig Veda is a Tamil Almanac, why refuse to accept the Veda,s deny that there is a Link between the Vedas and Tamil and in that case

     

    what happens to the Aryan Invasion Theory?( which of course is a Fraud)

     

    This sort of misinformation does not stop here.

     

    They go the extent of saying that no other earlier work in Tamil  (apart form Thokaapiyam) mentions the Vedas.

     

    This by Prof. A.Ramasamy Former Vice-Chancellor  in an article in DMK Mouthpiece  Risingsun weekly!

     

    Can there be anything more nonsensical?

     

    Keep off Politics from Tamil.

    K. Nedunchezhiyan elaborately discusses the age of Tolkappiyam in his well-researched Tamil work titled Tolkappiyam – Tirukkural: Kaalamum Karuthum. He endorses the views of M. Sundarraj and proceeds to point out further influences of Tolkappiyam on Rig Veda. Tolkappiyam divides a year into six seasons, each having two months. Rig Veda also divides a year into six seasons which, according to
    K. Nedunchezhiyan, was due to the influence of Tolkappiyam. Tolkappiyar mentions Varunan as the sea-god. Rig Vedic Aryans were not sea-farers; yet, Varunan is mentioned as a sea-god in Rig Veda. K. Nedunchezhiyan opines that this was also due to the influence of Tolkappiyam. He further states two reasons for the influence of Tolkappiyam on Rig Veda. One is that Rig Veda was compiled in Tamil Nadu; and the other is that Rig Veda followed the Tamil letter tradition. So, he concludes that the age of Tolkappiyam is prior to Rig Veda.
    Kodinilai, Kandhazhi, and Valli, referred in the Verse 88 – Porul of Tolkappiyam, according to S. Ilakkuvanar, “are interpreted by some scholars as to denote Sun, Fire and Moon, the worship of which appears to be prevalent in ancient Tamil Nadu”. ..

    Therefore, almost all Tamil scholars agree that Tolkappiyam belonged to the last phase of the Second Tamil Sangam held at Kapatapuram, which was engulfed by the sea around 1500 B.C. Therefore, we may safely conclude that Tolkappiyam might have been written in 1500 B.C.”

     

    Real Research.

     

    The second Sangam (iṭaicaṅkam)idaichangam was convened in Kapatapuram.

     

    This Sangam lasted for 3700 years and had 59 members, with 3700 poets participating.

     

    There were 59 Pandiya kings starting from Vendercceliyan to Mudattirumaran were decedents and rulers of that period.[1] 

     

    This city was also submerged in sea. Ramayana and Arthasastra of Kautalya corroborates the existence of a city named kavatapuram.

     

     

    There is a reference to a south Indian place called kavata by sugriva in a verse which runs something like ‘having reached Kavata suitable for

    Pandiya’.

     

    The place kavata is also mentioned by Kautalya in Arthasastra.

     

    The grammar followed was budapuranam,agattiyam,tholkaapiyam,mapuranam and isainunukkam.

     

    The poems attributed to second academy are Kali,Kurugu,vendali and viyalamalai ahaval.

     

    The third Sangam (kaṭaicaṅkam)kadaichangam was purportedly located in the current city of Madurai and lasted for 1850 years.

     

    There were 49 Pandiya kings starting from Mudattirumaran (who came away from Kabadapuram to present Madurai) to Ukkirapperu valudi were

     

    decedents and rulers of that period.[2] 

     

    The academy had 49 members, and 449 poets are described as having participated in the Sangam.[3] 

     

    The grammars followed were agattiyam and tholkappiyam.

     

     

    The poems composed were Kurunthogai,Netunthogai, kurunthogai nanooru, narrinai nanooru, purananooru, aingurunooru,padirrupaatu,

     

    kali,paripaadal,kuttu,vari,sirrisai and perisai.(wiki)

  • Rig Veda Theorem Unleashes Energy From Space

    I have posted an article how the first two lines of the Purusha is used to Generate Electricity.

    Let me go further,

    In the experiment carried out basing The Purusha Sukta as the reference point the Electricity created was approximately 150% of the Input:

    The Power Input was 126 Watts, Output  303 Watts.

    ( Traditional physics does not admit that the output can be greater than the input,however Quantum Theory is admitting it vagulely)

    That it means that you still need some Input.

    What if we can produce without any Input?

    I thought of this, when in a recent function where I was a Guest Speaker, a Researcher said that, Brahma is a shrewd businessman, he produces every thing out of Zero and is efficiently running it at No Cost!’

    Valid point for those who read Indian Philosophy.

    I was sure that Vedas have an answer to this and I have been able to locate a reference and am sharing it with you.

    Unlike Science, Hinduism does not say anything quite openly.

    It locks them safely behind Vedic Passwords it would seem to prevent misuse.

    There is an interesting School of Thought which states that the Asuras are equally, if not Superior to understanding the Vedas than the Devas.

    Sukracharya is a prime example.

    He was the only Man to have known the Sanjeevini Mantra, which could revive a Dead Man.

    Let me not digress,

    Modern Science, with the best of intentions explains you the procedure adopted in arriving at a Scientific Truth, elements , parts involved and gives

    you the result.

    Hinduism gives you just the results and keeps mum on the procedure etc, leaving this to the deserving if they practice the Qualifying tests to unlock

    these secrets.

    For the uninitiated the statements of the Vedas might seem mundane.

    But if you have a background in the subject  you are interested in and search the Vedas you get the answer.

    Such being the case, it is difficult to understand the Vedas, unless you are mentally and ethically qualified, where as in the case of Science being

    qualified intellectually would do.

    The Rig Veda, the oldest literature known to Man begins with the Invocation to Agni, God of Fire.

    When interpreted by one who knows Physics and Sanskrit the meaning takes a different hue.

    “The sloka is a formula . Expansion of a volume involves an increase in the surface area and the
    radius is the controlling parameter in a spherical volume which is the predominant shape in a
    fundamental matter field. Triggering involves a time aspect that is of a relatively short duration.
    Putting these ideas into a mathematical framework we get a formulation giving a numerical result
    which is presented in the sloka as a numerical code using the letters of the sanskrit language as
    numerical symbols, shown below.
    The most astounding part, the answer gives the cubic volume occupied by an expanding sphere of
    light or electromagnetic wave in cubic yards per second.

    The sloka has 6 words and 26 syllables, each with a defined numerical value. The number is accurate
    to 25 decimal
    Digits. As shown below it forms the expanding rate of a relative cubic volume of space, when it is
    triggered into
    Expansion by a specific theoretical process. It is cubic yards. Taking only the first 15 digits and
    converting it into
    Metres / cycle gives as the radial value :: (3.5531286185184564E+25)1/3 x .9144 = 3.00612148 x

    The number of daily cycles in a year at that time was 365.7388. Therefore the additional
    Incremental volume in a year was 1/ 365.7388. Using the velocity of light as 299792458
    (as measured today) the additional time cycles in terms of light speed is

    Therefore the Vedic value of the number of cycles of unit wavelength is

    – 8.1969 x 105
    = 299792458
    The value of light speed then is exactly as measured today.
    Next the derived value of light speed as number of cycles of unit wavelength
    using the principle of simultaneity (which is self-similar and scale invariant

    1/2 – 2)/2 = 8.4721 and 108.4721 = 296575967
    Taking the log (10) ratio of difference between measured and derived value as
    Log[299792458 / 296575967] =4.6847 x 10-3
    The ratio of the Solar Radius to the Earths orbital radius is
    6.986 x 108
    / 1.4912 x 1011 = 4.6847 x 10-3
    This is identical to the Vedic calculation. The Vedic concept
    of the Field of space was different from current views in physics.
    The field in space YIELDS FREE ENERGY WHEN IT’S SYNCHRONISED
    AND COHERENT STATE IS UPSET SUDDENLY BY A TRIGGERING FORCE.

    Let us try to understand this.

    Assign number to the Text.

    Check the sloka for words and Syllables.

    Check the period in which the Rig Veda was written and find out Daily Cycles.

    Use the unit wave length.

    Use The value of light speed then, it was as it is measured today.
    Use  the derived value of light speed as number of cycles of unit wavelength using the principle of simultaneity (which is self-similar and scale invariant.

    Taking the log (10) ratio of difference between measured and derived value.

    Well, some one would ask,

    What if I want to produce this energy?

    What is in the Universe is is in You.

    In fact You are the Universe.

    You need not go out and unlock it from out side.

    You can do it from Within.

    What it needs the Scriptural Password that can be obtained by following the procedure laid down by The Vedas.

  • Cure Disease ‘Aksheebhyam The ‘ Auto Suggestion Sukta

    The Aksheepyamthe Suktha appears in the RigVeda 10.163.

     

    This Suktha is a rare piece in the Veda that contains Auto suggestion for curing diseases.

     

    Thie Aksheebhayaan Sooktha has six couplets.

     

    Regular recital shall provide a Healthy Life and if one is afflicted by Diseases, he’/she will get immediate relief.
