I read in the Newyorker about Jesus Christ being depicted Nude, based on renaissance paintings.
A look into this.

Leo Steinberg published “The Sexuality of Christ in Renaissance Art and in Modern Oblivion,” a book that does much to explain the connection between Pope Francis’s passionate devotion to the poor and afflicted and his seeming openness to gay Catholics. In “The Sexuality of Christ,” Steinberg argues that as a result of the rise of the Franciscan order, around 1260, an emphasis on Christ’s nakedness, and, thus, on his humanity, joined compassion to an acceptance of the role of sexuality in human life.
A credo of the Franciscan order was nudus nudum Christum sequi (“follow naked the naked Christ”). It was a radical call to cast aside worldly wealth and belongings and acknowledge the fragile, fallen nature of all men and women. But in casting aside Christ’s garments, the Franciscans made Christ’s nude body a focal point. As a result, according to Steinberg, from about the middle of the thirteenth century until the sixteenth century artists lavished particular care on Christ’s penis, the part of Christ’s body that made him most mortal, and which proved his union with humankind. “One must recognize,” wrote Steinberg, “anostentatio genitalium comparable to the canonic ostentatio vulnerum, the showing forth of the wounds.”
* Bellini.
Giovanni Bellini was an Italian Renaissance painter, probably the best known of the Bellini family of Venetian painters. His father was Jacopo Bellini, his brother was Gentile Bellini, and his brother-in-law was Andrea Mantegna. He is considered to have revolutionized Venetian painting, moving it towards a more sensuous and coloristic style. Through the use of clear, slow-drying oil paints, Giovanni created deep, rich tints and detailed shadings. His sumptuous coloring and fluent, atmospheric landscapes had a great effect on the Venetian painting school, especially on his pupils Giorgione and Titian.Giovanni Bellini was probably born in Venice. He was brought up in his father’s house, and always lived and worked in the closest fraternal relation with his brother Gentile. Up until the age of nearly thirty we find in his work a depth of religious feeling and human pathos which is his own. His paintings from the early period are all executed in the old tempera method; the scene is softened by a new and beautiful effect of romantic sunrise color

It is debatable whether Jesus existed at all, considering the evidence available.
What we know from Archaeology is that there was a preacher who rebelled against the Roman Empire and united people against Roman occupation and he conveyed a message of Love and Peace.
More than that we are not even sure of his name,Jesus.

The Bible was conceived 300 years after his death.
There is scant reference to his personal appearance in the Bible.
One can surmise that considering the place of his origin Jesus should have been an oriental, brownish in color.
Now there is fresh controversy stating that Jesus was White!
Read the discussion and the links from my earlier posts.
”
The myth of a white Jesus is one with deep roots throughout Christian history. As early as the Middle Ages and particularly during the Renaissance, popular Western artists depicted Jesus as a white man, often with blue eyes and blondish hair. Perhaps fueled by some Biblical verses correlating lightness with purity and righteousness and darkness with sin and evil, these images sought to craft a sterile Son of God.
The only problem was that the representations were historically inaccurate.
Modern Western Christians have carried these images over into their own depictions of Jesus. Pick up a one of those bright blue “Bible Story” books in a Sunday School classroom and you’ll find white Jesus waiting for you, rosy cheeks and all. Or you could survey the light-skinned Jesus in any number of modern TV or film portrayals, including History Channel’s hit series The Bible.
If the Bible is silent on the matter of Jesus’ skin color, does it really matter that Megyn Kelly says Jesus is white?
If the Bible is silent on the matter of Jesus’ skin color, does it really matter that Megyn Kelly says Jesus is white?
Yes, actually.
As some historians and theologians have posited, the silence of the Scriptures on the issue of Jesus’ skin color is critical to Christianity’s broad appeal with people of various ethnicities. In a world where race often divides communities and even churches, the Biblical depictions of God’s son positions him as one who can bridge those divides.
For this reason, one American Presbyterian minister in the 1880s warned his flock not to trust popular images of Christ:
If He were particularised and localised—if, for example, He were made a man with a pale face—then the man of the ebony face would feel that there was a greater distance between Christ and him than between Christ and his white brother.’ Instead, because the Bible refused to describe Jesus in terms of racial features, his gospel could appeal to all. Only in this way could the Church be a place where the ‘Caucasian and Mongolian and African sit together at the Lord’s table, and we all think alike of Jesus, and we all feel that He is alike our brother’.
In Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Advice for Living” column for Ebony in 1957, the civil-rights leader was asked, “Why did God make Jesus white, when the majority of peoples in the world are non-white?” King replied, “The color of Jesus’ skin is of little or no consequence” because what made Jesus exceptional “His willingness to surrender His will to God’s will.” His point, as historian Edward Blum has noted, is that Jesus transcends race.

The height of irony.

Story:
A picture of a sign outside an Anglican church in Niagara Falls that sends a message of inclusivity when it comes to homosexuality has gone viral.
The billboard outside St. John’s Anglican Church reads: “Jesus had two dads and he turned out just fine!”
An image of the sign caught worldwide attention this week after it was posted on the social-media website Reddit.
The post gained hundreds of thousands of views. It received more than 15,900 positive votes and more than 14,300 negative votes.
According to Christian faith, Jesus is the son of God, but was partly cared for on Earth by his birth mother’s husband, Joseph.
“I don’t find it offensive in any way,” said St. John’s rector Lynne Marchant.

A man is reported to have murdered his daughter, for not answering questions from her Home work.
This, while his wife and mother were watching TV .
The incident was reported to have taken place in Bangalore, on 25 July 2013.
In this case the motive is reported to be vendetta against the man’s first wife who committed suicide or murderer d by him couple of years ago.
In another case a child was murdered for not reading the Bible and was doing Home work.
Leave alone the vendetta angle.
This raises two questions.
Home work for children.
Children from Pre KG are given Home work, when the child cn not even understand concepts,.
The child which does not complete the Home work is humiliated in the class room by being made to sit separately or made to stand outside the class room, parents are called in and warned.

What sort of system is this?
As it is parents, in their ambition to make their wards become a Money making machine have robbed children of their child hood.
Teachers too contribute this.
There is more to Life than scoring Rank in the school.
This is inhuman.
Secondly Religious fervor.
By reading Bible one does not become a Spiritual master.
Story:
A furious man killed his eight-year-old daughter with a rolling pin because she didn’t answer questions during homework.
The gruesome incident took place at Avalahalli, near Byatarayanapura, off Mysore Road, on Thursday night. Satyanarayan Singh, 43, a plastic utensils trader, told police that he was provoked into hitting his daughter Neha as she didn’t answer questions during revision.
Satyanarayan and his mother Padma Bai have been arrested. Police suspect Padma Bai bore a grudge against Neha and abetted him in the act. A Class II student of SGS School, Mysore Road, Neha was Satyanarayan’s daughter from his first wife, Asha Singh, who had committed suicide in 2006. Satyanarayan was acquitted in the dowry harassment and murder case of his wife. He married again and has a two-year-old daughter from his second wife. The family stayed in a rented house in II Cross, Avalahalli.”
samally: A Muslim man in Egypt killed hiswife because she was reading the Bible and then buried her with their infant baby and an 8-yearold daughter. The girls were buried alive! He then reported tothe police that an uncle killed thekids. 15 days later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they found the 2 little girls under the sand -ALIVE! The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be executed.. The older girl was asked how she had survived and she says:-‘A man wearing shiny white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came everyday to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister,’ she said. She was interviewed on Egyptian nationalTV, by availed Muslim woman news anchor. She said on publicTV, ‘This was none other than Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!’ Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He really was crucified, and it’s clear also that He is alive! But, it’s also clear thatthe child could not make up astory like this, and there is no way these children could have survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a hardtime to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of thePassion movie doesn’t help! With Egypt at the centre of the mediaand education in the Middle East ,you can be sure this story will spread. Christ is still turning theworld upside down! Please let this story be shared. The Lord says, ‘I will bless the person who puts his trust in me.’ Jeremiah 17….. Mark8:38 which says, ‘Thereforewhosoever shall be ashamed of Me and my Words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man shall also beashamed of him when He comesin the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
