  • Ramanis Prayer Portal

I have received quite a few emails over the last few days as to why I have not posted any new post.

Nor have I replied the comments on this site.

    Ganapathy.Image.jpg
    Lord Ganesha

Usually I reply the  comments immediately.

The reason why I did not post a new article is that my daughter met with a serious accident, which has resulted in the Fracture of Four vertebrae , three rib bones and two bones in the Face.

Thanks to the Prayers of well wishers no harm to her internal organs ike Brain, Lungs or spinal cord.

Though slight puncture of the Lung is noticed it is not a cause for concern.

However she is to undergo two surgical procedures  the next Wednesday/Thursday for fractures in the face and Jaw.

On seeing the visuals of the accident I was shocked at the seriousness of the accident.

I was convinced that Prayers only could save her and I shared the information on Facebook requesting people to Pray for Her.

I was astounded at the response from the people offering prayers, messages encouraging me to be brave, offers of Medicines from India ,US, medical advice from Doctors,Blood offers , special vows from people on behalf of my daughter!

I have lost count of the messages pouring in.

I think it must have crossed the 7000 mark.

Such a spontaneous gesture from people one does not even know moved me.

Thanks to these kind souls my daughter has come unscathed from serious injuries though two operations are due

Now I am more than convinced about the collective power of Prayer from people who are not known to the affected.

I have opened up a new page to help people in times of Distress,Physical injury, diseases, Emotional and mental problems, financial worries.

They can post the messages in the Ramani’s Prayer Portal , a Facebook page of Mine,.

I shall be providing effective Mantras , mostly from the Vedas.

Readers can participate in the Prayers.

Time and other details are mentioned in the Page.

Kindly make use of the Page.

  • Tripura Samhara Shiva Geological Kurnool Mt.Toba Proof?

Tripura Samhara Shiva Geological Kurnool Mt.Toba Proof?

The references found in the Vedic Texts, Vedas, Puranas and the Ithihasa ,Ramayana and Mahabharata offer three levels of understanding .

One is that they are historical, as validated by archaeology and Carbon Dating.

The second is that ,taking into consideration of the Theory of Circular Time, and coordinating the Quantum Theory of Multi Verse, one can say that the events mentioned in the Hindu texts are happening even now simultaneously at the three aspects of Time, Past, present and future.

And there is the third interpretation.

The events narrated in the Hindu texts convey abstract philosophical and Physical truths.

It is in this context I am writing this Post.

There are references to the Tripura Samhara, The Destruction of three cities by Lord Shiva.

As a Historical fact, there are two theories about the location of Tripura.

One is in the Arctic and the another is in Atlantis.

    For details read here .

The landmass we find today as  Malay Peninsula was a cluster of islands in South-East Asia.

It consists of Malay peninsula, Java, Sumatra, Borneo and other surrounding areas.

They were a single landmass about 22,000 years ago.

Research by Glenn Milne and Graham Hancock have shown that these islands were not islands but were connected as a huge land mass some 22,000 years ago.

The sea level was 150 meters lower than what we find now and hence was inhabited by people.

This land was given the Name Sundaland.

An ancient volcano located in Sundaland erupted about 73,000 years ago caused a wide-spread devastation of mankind and other life.
    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/11/091123142739.htm

    Mount Toba location.image.png
The red star on the left side of Sundaland was the location of Mt Toba, a Super Volcano that erupted then.

The scale of devastation was such that the volcanic ash spread as far as the Arabian sea covering most parts of South India by a few meters.

    Mount Toba in ancient Map.png
    Mount Toba in ancient Map.

The red spot in the above picture is the location of Mt Toba and the blue spots are the regions where ash deposits have been identified. Due to the wind direction at the time of eruption, the ash had spread towards west of Indonesia.

Recent excavations in Jwalapuram, in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh showed that this village which had an human dwelling at that time (73,000 years ago) was covered with the ash of Mt Toba.

    Jwalapuram, Kurnool ,India.png
    Jwalapuram, Kurnool ,India.

‘Jwala’ in Sasnkrit means .Tongues of Flame.

Genetic studies reveal that almost all of mankind vanished then but for a small group from which the current population of the globe has come up.

Tripura means three sides or anything that is three. One can explain it at any level – physical, philosophical etc.
But after coming to know of the Sunda land and the eruption of Mt Toba, the story of Tripura Samhara shows a geological event. The names associated with Tripura samhara bear unique resemblance to the way a Super Volcano was maturing to erupt.

There was a Tarakasura who was killed by Karthikeya.
    Tara means star.
Karthikeya is derived from a meaning ‘fire’ or ‘cut’.
A star or star like glowing material was absorbed by Fire (Agni) is the import of this.

After the death of  Tarakasura, his three sons,
Tarakaksha, Vidyunmali and Makalaksha did penanceto become terrific fortresses.
Tarakaksha means star-eyed, Vidyunmali means one wreathed in lightening and Kamalaksha means lotus eyed (red in colour).
They formed 3 cities which were continuously rotating.
The cities were made of iron at the bottom, silver above that and gold on top.
They were fierce and kept rotating thereby tormenting the people.
They were called the Tripura  Asuras.

This description of the Tripura asuras (3 sided asuras) tallies with that of an active volcano.
The initial Volcano, Tarakasura had spewed fire (killed by Karthikeya).
But that was not the end of the Volcano.
It kept being active by being star like sparks (Tarakaksha), lightening (Vidyunmali) and red in color (kamalaksha)…

The magma underneath had been so volatile that it is described as though the 3 layers of molten minerals of iron, silver and gold were rotating all the time…

The Danavas including Maya was present at the time Tripura was fuming!
The torment caused by Tripura was unbearable that  the Devas asked Shiva to kill him.
He did so by using a single arrow.
The killing of Tripura by Shiva was described as Tripura samhara.
The exact process of killing is described in the Sangam Tamil text called Paripadal
which is an exact description of the destruction caused by a Volcano.

    Features of a Volcano.png
    Features of a Volcano.
    Tripura samhara visualized.
    Tripura samhara visualized.

    Paripadal – 5 says

    “naaga naaNaa malai villaaka
    moovagai, aareyil Orazal ambin muLiya”
    (நாக நாணா மலை வில்லாக
    மூவகை ஆரெயில் ஓரழல் அம்பின் முளிய)

    Naaga – snake
naaNaa – as the string (of the bow)
    malai – mountain
    villaaka – as the bow
    moovakai – 3 types
    aareyil – walls (fortresses)
Orazal – a single streak of fire
ambin muLiya – at the end of an arrow – killed

    That is,
Shiva killed Tripura with the mountain as the arrow and the snakes (mantle / magma) as the string, he blew the 3 fortresses of iron, silver and gold (molten material) by shooting a single arrow which has fire at its end.
The snakes – as we told before – personify the magma trying to come out.

This describes the sudden and powerful eruption of fire and mantle from inside the mountain (volcano) which resulted in the complete collapse of the volcano.

To depict it pictorially, here is the image of how a volcano looks when it bursts.

    Sundaland.

Sundaland (also called the Sundaic region) is a biogeographical region of Southeastern Asia which encompasses the Sunda shelf, the part of the Asian continental shelf that was exposed during the last ice age. The last glacial period, popularly known as the Ice Age, was the most recent glacial period within the current ice age occurring during the last years of the Pleistocene, from approximately 110,000 to 12,000 years ago. It included the Malay Peninsula on the Asian mainland, as well as the large islands of Borneo,Java, and Sumatra and their surrounding islands. The eastern boundary of Sundaland is the Wallace Line, identified by Alfred Russel Wallace as the eastern boundary of the range of Asia’s land mammal fauna, and thus the boundary of the Indomalaya and Australasia ecozones. The islands east of the Wallace line are known as Wallacea, and are considered part of Australasia.

  • How To Read Study Understand Hinduism

I received a question as to how to read and understand Hinduism, Sanatana Dharma.

The sender of this question is Professional in IT from IIT .

    Vedas.Image.jpg
    Vedas.

‘Would that be alright if I begin with the Brahma Sutra Bhashya of Shankaracharya?

    It is difficult to understand.

    Can you suggest any method’

I thought these some of the questions many are seeking answers for.

Strictly speaking the Vedas have to be studied for Twelve years minimum to have an idea.

Unlike the other Religions, Hinduism is based on Experience and Intuition and it takes time for one to grasp.

So it is difficult to understand the Vedas in the present day unless one decides to spend a lifetime on studying the Vedas, which is not practical now.

Then we have the Ithihasas Puranas Stotras Stuthis and Legends.

    Where to begin?

It looks very complex and one is bewildered at the seemingly vast knowledge base and it appears at a first glance each contradict the other.

The one is also confused by the thoughts in Hinduism that the Reality is Not One(Advaita),

    Qualified Not Two (Visishtadvaita)

    Dualism(Dwaita).

33 Crore Gods mentioned in the Puranas,

    You have Trimurthis,

Of the some say Shiva is superior, Others Vishnu and yet others Devi and so many versions.

And Hinduism , in the form of Karma Yoga asks one to forego the results of action.

Bhakthi Yoga says that One has to simply surrender to God and nothing else is needed.

Yet we have the Karmas sanctioned in the Vedas which are to be performed by very one.

We have Raja Yoga, in the form of Yoga where one learns to control the Mind and which says Mind control alone will do, nothing else is required!

Hinduism says that there is Destiny and your Life is prepared and at the same time says that one can raise by one’s effort.

Hinduism says that one should renounce things and be in the world.

    Seemingly contradictory.

    But they are not.

I have posted a few articles on each of these aspects.

Now to the question of Reading Hinduism.

    I recommend the following,

1.Outlines of Indian Philosophy by Professor Hiriyanna. http://amzn.to/1PnBdSz

    2. The Collected works of Swami Vivekananda( all the volumes) http://amzn.to/1L6V1Uk

    3. The Eighteen Puranas.

These will give one the background

What is required is patience to  form conclusions and answers for the questions that may arise one reads these.

They will be cleared as you go along.

    Studying Hinduism.

Now one can read the Pancha Sukthas, Purusha Suktha, Narayana Suktha, Vishnu Suktha, Durga Suktha and Sri Suktha.

    And Sri Rudram and Namakam.

Slokas Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalita Sahsranama.

As ou along these lines out shall get links to proceed further.

Hinduism is not text-based but is based on Experience and Divine Guidance.

Once you start in good earnest out shall get all the answers.

To understand Hinduism one has to live as prescribed in the Vedas and engage one self in Sadhana.

This will be facilitated by  studying the Bhasyas of the three Acharyas, Shankara, Ramanuja and Madhwa.

Not to forget the Jewel The Bhagavad Gita!

  • Monkeys In Shiva Trishul Nazca Lines Peru

I had written articles on the Nazca Lines, where the three lines in Peru resembling Lord Shiva’s Trishul is present even today and the reference in the Ramayana to the Nazca Lines, , the Hindu Epic, where the Vanara (Monkey) King directs his Monkey army to search for Sita who was abducted by Ravana.

And I have also written on the three rotating cities destroyed by Shiva.

Now it has come to light that the Nazca Lines, consist of Monkey figures drawn inside the Lines and archaeologists are unable to explain it!

Giant Monkey Figure in Nazca Lines, Peru.Image.jpg
Giant Monkey Figure in Nazca Lines, Peru.

    Monkeys in Nazca Lines.Image.jpg
    Monkeys in Nazca Lines.

In the Peruvian Desert, about 200 miles south of Lima, there lies a plain between the Inca and Nazca (sometimes also spelled Nasca) Valleys. Across this plain, in an area measuring 37 miles long and 1-mile wide, is an assortment of perfectly-straight lines, many running parallel, others intersecting, forming a grand geometric form. In and around the lines there are also trapezoidal zones, strange symbols, and pictures of birds and beasts all etched on a giant scale that can only be appreciated from the sky.

The figures come in two types: biomorphs and geoglyphs. The biomorphs are some 70 animal and plant figures that include a spider, hummingbird, monkey and a 1,000-foot-long pelican. The biomorphs are grouped together in one area on the plain. Some archaeologists believe they were constructed around 200 BC, about 500 years before the geoglyphs.

There are about 900 geoglyphs on the plain. Geoglyphs are geometric forms that include straight lines, triangles, spirals, circles and trapezoids. They are enormous in size. The longest straight line goes nine miles across the plain.

    Discovery and Meaning

Though discovered by Peruvian archaeologist Toribio Mejia Xesspe who spotted them while hiking through the surrounding foothills in 1927, the forms are so difficult to see from the ground that they were not widely known until the 1930’s when aircraft spotted them while surveying for water. The plain, crisscrossed, by these giant lines with many forming rectangles, has a striking resemblance to a modern airport. The Swiss writer, Erich von Daniken, even suggested they had been built for the convenience of ancient visitors from space to land their ships. As tempting as it might be to subscribe to this theory, the desert floor at Nazca is soft earth and loose stone, not tarmac, and would not support the landing wheels of either an aircraft or a flying saucer.

So why are the lines there? The American explorer Paul Kosok, who made his first visit to Nazca in the 1940s, suggested that the lines were astronomically significant and that the plain acted as a giant observatory. He called them “the largest astronomy book in the world.” Gerald Hawkins, an American astronomer, tested this theory in 1968 by feeding the position of a sample of lines into a computer and having a program calculate how many lines coincided with an important astronomical event. Hawkins showed the number of lines that were astronomically significant were only about the same number that would be the result of pure chance. This makes it seem unlikely Nazca is an observatory.

Perhaps the best theory for the lines and symbols belongs to Tony Morrison, the English explorer. By researching the old folk ways of the people of the Andes mountains, Morrison discovered a tradition of wayside shrines linked by straight pathways. The faithful would move from shrine to shrine praying and meditating. Often the shrine was as simple as a small pile of stones. Morrison suggests that the lines at Nazca were similar in purpose and on a vast scale. The symbols may have also served as special enclosures for religious ceremonies.

How were they built? The lines were apparently made by brushing away the reddish, iron oxide covered pebbles that compose the desert surface and uncovering the white colored sand underneath. In most places wind, rain and erosion would quickly remove all traces of this within a few years. At Nazca, though, the lines have been preserved because it is such a windless, dry and isolated location.

A writer by the name of Jim Woodman believes that the lines and figures could not have been made without somebody in the air to direct the operations. “You simply can’t see anything from ground level,” states Woodman. “You can’t appreciate any of it from anywhere except from above. You can’t tell me the Nazca builders would have gone to the monumental efforts they did without ever being able to see it.”

Woodman has proposed that ancient hot-air balloons were used to get an aerial view of the construction. To prove his hypothesis, Woodman constructed a balloon using materials that would have been available to the Nazca people. He was able to conduct a successful flight, though it only lasted two minutes.

Considering the mass of Finds found in the Americas relating to Hinduism and the Ramayana, I am of the view that the area was peopled by ancient Indians and the lines might have been marked by them.

Or,since the Patalas , the Nether world, referred to by Hindu Texts as having been inhabited by the Rakshasa, they could have used this as a launching pad to travel to other worlds.

  • Protection From Danger Apad Udharaka Hanumath Stotram Vibishana

Protection From Danger Apad Udharaka Hanumath Stotram Vibishana

Life is balance between Risks and Our Faith.

Sanatana Dharma has three classifications of the Happenings of the world and the individual.

    Adi Bautikam.

    Adyathmikam, and

    Adi Daivikam.

Adi Bautikam relates to the events happening because the Five Elements of Nature, Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.

One has no real protection from these when they unleash themselves

Ask any one who has watched the film Gravity.

If he/ she does not admit to being scared to the level of Panic looking at the vast expanse of Space and for a moment not imagined themselves in the predicament of being lost in Space.

Efforts and our achievements the  in Science vanish in front of them.

Recall The Tsunami that struck South India in the recent past

Adyatmikam related the reaction for actions we have performed, one can not escape the recoil.

Adi Daivikam is at the Pleasure of God, in commensurate with our actions.

Despite knowing that we are powerless and puny, we arrogate ourselves with Knowledge and Powere.

Even such men at times of crisis, turn to God.

I read in a Thriller by Fredrick Forsyth, The Icon, a seemingly atheist general says,

Show me one man who does not believe in the Power of something beyond him, when one sees Cannon Shells blowing up within inches of him, him remaining unhurt, while those near him were killed.

The only recourse is to seek the help of God at times of Crisis.

Hanuman is the Master of encountering Crises.

He would ensure that you remain free of fear.

On a daily basis one may recite,

Buddhir Balam Yaso Dhairyam Nirbhayathvama Arogatha,

    Ajaatyam Vaakpatuthvancham,

    Hanumath Smaranaath Bahaveteth.

This will release you from fears of any kind.

There is yet another stotra by Vibishana, for overcoming Danger.

    It is

    Apad Udharaka Hanumath Stotram
