The Earth is Swallowed by the Sun 7.6 Billion Years
Mystical numbers, robot overlords, the return of divine bearded men – depending on who you talk to, it’s all a bunch of hogwash. But if there’s one thing we do know, it’s that our sun is constantly getting bigger, and in about 7.6 billion years it will reach red giant status. What actually happens to us at that point is still a matter of speculation. Some people say that although the sun will expand until it’s larger than earth’s current orbit, it will simultaneously lose mass, reducing its gravitational pull and allowing our planet to just keep drifting further away.
Other people, however – such as astronomer Klaus-Peter Schroder – contend that reduced mass on the sun will lead to what he calls tidal bulges on the solar surface, which will have the effect of actually pulling the earth closer. Either way, it’s a scientific probability that the sun will eventually obliterate the earth – even if none of us are still around to see it.
Numerology is one of the most commonly used techniques when it comes to predicting future events. It’s the belief that numbers often correlate to specific divine events, and that the repetition or extrapolation of those numbers can be used to figure out what’s going to happen in the future. One of the most popular examples of numerology is theQuran Code, which purports that there’s a hidden code in the Quran based on the number 19.
This theory, which is now a full-blown religious sect, was started in 1968 by Rashad Khalifa, who believed that he was a direct messenger of God and had conversations with the Archangel Gabriel. After feeding the Quran’s text into a computer, he realized that all of the names for God appeared in multiples of 19 times throughout the book. For example, the word “Allah,” which means God, appears in the Quran 2698 times, which is 19×142. Through this system, he was able to translate the entire hidden “code,” and came to the conclusions that the end of the world will be in 2280 AD (19×120). Sounds legit to us.
Year 6,000 2240 AD
The Talmud is the second most important religious text in Judaism, second only to the Torah, and according to some experts it places the date of the apocalypse at 2240.
The math goes like this: The Hebrew calendar states that the universe was created 3,760 years before the birth of Christ, meaning that 2240 is actually the year 6,000. According to the Talmud, Christ is on a deadline and has to reappear 6,000 years after the creation of the world (1,000 years for every day of creation). The next 1,000 years – the 7th day – represents the Messianic Age. So in 2240 the earth will undergo a period of “massive upheaval and turmoil” as the changes take place.
The Sign of Two 2029 AD
The majority of end-time predictions over the history of our race have come from religious believers who see the end of the world coinciding with the second coming of Christ (or the third coming, depending on who you ask). That should be a pretty clear indicator of something – but it’s not our place to point it out. Currently there are a few dozen fringe Jesus-based apocalypse predictions circulating, but the most interesting is probably that promoted by Mike Flipp.
For (exactly) two years leading up to 2005, a man named Mike Flipp saw signs that were all somehow related to the number 2. When he deciphered these signs, he found that they described the second coming of Christ in 2029. He has a websitewhich he uses to give away his book for free.
‘The resolution urges the 193 U.N. member states to condemn the practice, and to launch educational campaigns to eliminate it. It urges all countries to enact and enforce legislation to prohibit FGM, to protect women and girls “from this form of violence” and to end impunity for violators. Although not legally binding, UN General Assembly resolutions carry considerable moral and political weight.’

FGM is often undertaken to reinforce traditional beliefs about what is considered proper sexual behavior, according to the World Health Organization. Many communities believe the process, also called female circumcision, reduces a woman’s libido and therefore reduces the chances of her engaging in premarital or extramarital sex.
When a vaginal opening is closed off or narrowed through the process, the pain of opening it, and the fear that it would be found out, is considered further deterrent to “illicit” sexual intercourse.
Female genital mutilation (FGM) includes procedures that intentionally alter or cause injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.
The procedure has no health benefits for girls and women.
Procedures can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, infertility as well as complications in childbirth increased risk of newborn deaths.
About 140 million girls and women worldwide are currently living with the consequences of FGM.
FGM is mostly carried out on young girls sometime between infancy and age 15.
In Africa an estimated 92 million girls 10 years old and above have undergone FGM.
FGM is a violation of the human rights of girls and women.(WHO Report)
I think there is confusion regarding FGM.
Narrowing of the Vaginal Canal is FGM and not the circumcision of the Clitoris.
This as, suggested by the UN and WHO violates human Rights as it is dangerous to health and restricts female sexual behavior.
Circumcision of Clitoris increases sexual pleasure as it does the circumcision of the male.

Yes, this ban is most urgent.next on the Agenda is
Banning the circumcision practiced by the Jews?
This is nothing but to incite the Muslims.
There are so many practices in Christianity that are outdated concepts including Papacy.
What about the pedophile Priests?
What does Islam say on FGM?
Contrary to Muslims’ denial Islam clearly advocates this.

e4.3 Circumcision is obligatory (O: for both men and women. For men it consists of removing the prepuce from the penis, and for women, removing the prepuce (Ar. With panic running high among the gullible, I thought it fit to search the web for information as to how to read the Maya Calendar.
I was lucky in finding a reasonable explanation from two sources.
Here they are.
‘”
Mayan Calendar-Bar and Dot System
The first thing to understand is that the Maya used three different calendars. The first was the sacred calendar, or Tzolk’in, which lasted 260 days and then started over again, just as our 365-day calendar refreshes once it hits Dec. 31. This calendar was important for scheduling religious ceremonies.
The second calendar was the Haab’, or secular calendar, which lasted 365 days but did not account for the extra quarter-day it takes the Earth to revolve around the sun. (The modern calendar accounts for this fraction by adding a day to February every four years, the reason we have leap years.) That means the calendar wandered a bit in relation to the seasons.
The final calendar was the Long Count Calendar — the recording method that has caused all of the doomsday brouhaha of 2012. On Dec. 21 (approximately), the calendar completes a major cycle, which has triggered doomsday fears and mystical rumors about the end of an age. [Full Coverage: The Mayan Apocalypse (Not)]
The Maya shared our culture’s fascination with calendar mile-markers and would have likely considered the date important, Witschey told LiveScience. But they did not make any doomsday predictions about the date. The only two carvings ever found referring to the date depict contemporary kings and their predicted long-lasting legacies, Witschey said.
“Suppose I said to you that George Washington is so important that we will still consider him a revered national leader in the year 3000,” Witschey said. “So now you’ve got the rollover of the zeros, you’ve got an important contemporaneous figure, and you’re looking forward to the future.” That’s what the Mayan carvings are trying to accomplish, he said.
How the Long Count Calendar works
The Long Count Calendar may not predict doomsday, but it is good at covering long periods of time. Here’s how it works: Dates are written out as five numbers separated by four periods, such as 13.0.0.0.0. (The ancient Maya represented these not with numerals, of course, but with their own hieroglyphs.)
The right-most position is called the k’in, which counts single days: 13.0.0.0.1, for example. The k’in counts up to 19 and then flips back to zero, with counting picked back up by the next position, the uinal. So 13.0.0.0.19 would become 13.0.0.1.0, much like a car odometer. [Images: Mayan Calendar Carvings]
Each uinal is thus a block of 20 days. The k’in position then picks back up, counting up to that 20, which then gets added to the uinal. So the day after 13.0.0.1.0 would be 13.0.0.1.1 and then 13.0.0.1.2, all the way up to 13.0.0.1.19 and finally 13.0.0.2.0.
The uinals count upward as well. While the Maya generally use a base-20 counting system, Witschey said, they modify this slightly for the uinal, which only counts up to 17 before rolling over to the third position, the tun. Each tun is thus 18 blocks of 20 days, or 360 days — approximately a year by the solar calendar.
Tuns, in turn, count up to 20 before rolling over into k’atuns. As 20 blocks of 360 days, each k’atun translates into 7,200 days, or just less than 20 years. The k’atun place then counts up before rolling over into the final digit, the b’ak’tun.
If that word sounds familiar, it’s because Dec. 21, 2012, on our calendar marks the end of the 13th b’ak’tun of the Mayan Long Count Calendar. In other words, it’s the day the count will read 13.0.0.0.0. On Dec. 22, it will read 13.0.0.0.1.
Think of the Mayan Calendar as a series of series of interlocking gears with different ratios: a 13 pin sprocket turns inside a 20 pin cog, which itself rotates in another, and it in another and so on. The Mayans did not shy away from large numbers, and invented some rather ingenious methods to write down some extremely large numbers. But before we go into that, here’s a road map of what you are seeing on any typical Mayan display month:
The gory shooting that killed 28 people including 20 children is proving to be a tough one to crack.
The Killer reported to be 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother ,Nancy Lanza at their home in Yogananda Street in Newtown and proceeded to kill these people in the School.
It is still not clear why Lanza killed his mother, who had divorced Lanza’s father Peter in 2009.
A parent told AP that Nancy Lanza was a substitute teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School, but this is not confirmed. A search of Connecticut’s educator certification system revealed no-one by that name, and school employees have said Mrs Lanza did not work there.
After killing his mother, Lanza drove her car to the school, which has about 700 pupils aged between 5 and 10.
He was armed with at least three weapons and dressed in black fatigues.
It is unclear what sort of weapons the gunman carried with him and whether any were left in his car.
Visitors to the school have to be buzzed in by a member of staff. But at about 09:30, Lanza forced his way into the school, police now say, contrary to earlier reports that he had been let in.
Newtown police were notified of shooting at the school over their radios at 09:36.
“Caller is indicating she thinks someone’s shooting in the building,” a police dispatcher said.
A school employee ran through the halls, warning of a gunman on the loose, and someone switched on the intercom, alerting people in the building to the attack by letting them hear the mayhem in the school office, a teacher told AP.
One young survivor said the gunshots sounded like pots and pans falling to the floor.
Teachers locked their doors and ordered children to huddle in a corner or hide in cupboards as shots echoed through the building.
The victims were all shot by a high-powered rifle, medical examiner H Wayne Carver said on Saturday.
The seven dead children he personally examined had been shot between three and 11 times each, and two of those were shot at close range.
“The bullets are designed in such a fashion that the energy is deposited in the tissue and so the bullet stays in,” Dr Carver told reporters.(BBC)
