Walmart the giant chain seems to be in its last financial throes(!?) when it is revealed that it is seeking donations for its employees Thanksgiving Dinner! The Web page and Facebook page of the group feature a photo of two storage containers underneath a sign that says, "Please donate food items here so Associates in Need can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner." The Web page also says, "Walmart is asking us to donate food to our coworkers. Why can't Walmart pay us enough so we can feed our families?" The Web page quotes someone named Jamaad Reed of Cincinnati, identified as a Walmart Associate, saying "If I made $25,000/yr, I wouldn't have to rely on food stamps." The donation containers are displayed at a Walmart in Canton, Ohio, some sitting on tables in an employees-only area, others underneath tables, according to theCleveland Plain Dealer.

Though the figures are not alarming, it shows a clear pattern of preference to Online TV watching, provided by Google and Facebook. One reason is the cost of the local cable. Another is the technology. The unlimited channels available Online can not be matched by Cable TV. The quality of the videos are so fine that they can not be matched by the Cable TV. I am one of the view that the stock market is a huge fraud and a form of legitimized gambling with the active connivance of the Governments. The stock market is played by a minuscule percentage in India, may be .001 % of the population. But th Government decides its policies on its performance. One would expect the economy in prosperity when the stock market is booming. But facts are other wise. When the stock market is down, the economy is cited as the reason for the poor performance. Prosperity of the share market is for the prosperity of the Rich. Having been in a Senior management position I know how the IPOs are rigged. You pay a percentage to the underwriters.
