I have through this blog proved that the Arya Invasion Theory was an invention to divide Indians and how it is totally false.
Tamil Kings admired Sanatan dharma and followed it.Tamil kings participated in Damayanthi,Sita and Draupadi Swayamwara.Tamil King Udiyan Cheralaathan fed both Kaurava and Pandava armies during Mahabharata battle.
Madurai Meenakshi’s father,Malayathdwaja Pandia,participated in Mahabharata war and fought along with Pandavas.
Valmiki who wrote the Ramayana was a Tamil Sangam poet.
Tamil King Cheralaathan granted lands to Brahmins ordering them to perform Agnihotra daily and he is reported to look for Homa Fire in the morning!
And there are more references to show that Tamils venerated Vedas and Brahmins,from Karikal Chola to Rajaraja Chola.

‘Lights are lit on Amavasya night, in the month of Kaathigai in Tamil.
There is also the interpretation that the reference is to Kaathigai Deepam which is celebrated in Kaarthigai.
One may note that fifteen days separate the Pournami of Kaarthigai and Amavasya of Iyppasi month.As the poem mentions only ‘dark night’ ‘அறுமீன் சேரும் அகவிருள் நடுநாள்’, I tend to subscribe to the view it is Deepavali

அறுமீன் சேரும் refers to Pleadides ,Krithiga Nakshatra,thereby indicating that the poem refers to Karthigai Deepak,which is celebrated ,among other places,in Thiruvannamalai,where Lord Shiva is said to have manifested as Fire and the Arunachala mountain is believed to be the personification got Lord Shiva.
