The pleasure and pain of booking the Train Tickets in Advance by standing in the queue is lost.
This has been replace by Online Booking.
As in Booking by standing in queue, you encounter the same pleasure and Pain.
In the old method one use to get the pleasure of getting to speak to a lot of people in the queue and pain is you r not getting the ticket as you reach the counter.
In Online Booking,, you get the ticket with out moving from where you are.
Pain is the server is slow, does not allow you to log in, the session expires and when you set all this right tickets are closed.
I have come across the following information in Facebook sent by my Grand son.

1.Clear all the Cookies, Caches from your Browser.
2.Avoid Internet Explorer.
3.Sync your Browser time with the IRCTC Server.
Otherwise there will be delay,because when you book from abroad,because of Relay token,active routing.
To match IRCTC time with your Browser click this Link.

Enter some Train Number for Train Schedule.
You will get the details along with the IRCTC Server Time.
Based on this, adjust your Browser time.(+ or – 2 minutes is alright)
If you are using Firefox, download the following Link .

This will automatically sync the time.
4.The Major problem in Booking the tickets is Session expiry.
To avoid this problem,
2)Take the session ID from the Browser.
If you have been using Firefox, then change the Browser to Google Chrome and paste the session ID Link
If you were using Google Chrome change this to Firefox.
b) be active in the site doing some thing or the other for three minutes.
The session will not be logged out .
5.Use this tool for auto-fill.
6.For Tatkal Booking.
IRCTC is reported to have new server for Tatkal(timing).
This is available between 930 to 12.
See as you log in you get Lighter version notification.
Refresh till you get this notification and book your tickets.
