Lord Anjaneya,Hanuman,Maaruti, the most ardent Disciple of Lord Rama is described as being present wherever Ramanama is chanted.
He is reported to be present with tears of Joy flowing listening to Ramanama.
यत्र यत्र रघुनाथकीर्तनं तत्र तत्र कृतमस्तकांजलिम्
वाष्पवारिपरिपूर्णालोचनं मारुतिं नमत राक्षसान्तकम् ॥

This, I assumed, is a Poetic hyperbole, till I came across a Photo of an elderly Monkey, resembling Hanumanji reading Ramayana.
The photograph adorns the wall of an acquaintance of mine.
I thought it was a painting.
On being asked I was informed that Swami Shraddananda of Benares gave it to them and narrated the following.
It seems that some one saw,in a cave in Mount Kailash, a figure reading a Book with tears in his eyes.
He photographed it and the picture is that of Hanuman reading some thing with tears flowing from his eyes.
On enlarging the image, the text looks like Sanskrit, tail and feet are that of an old monkey!
I do not know how many people will believe it.
But I am of the opinion that we can not brush things aside because we can not explain it.
I have a couple of instances , which I have posted,where I have seen a man disappearing in front of my eyes in Pampa, Sabaimalai.
Let me narrate couple of instances narrated to me by my Aunt, vouched for by my father, Uncle and my father’s cousins.
To allay the doubts of the doubting Thomases, let me add that my Grandfather was a Professor of Mathematics in Madura College, Madurai , known for his expertise in Geometry and was a contemporary of the mathematical Genius Ramanujan.
My Grandfather, known as Geometry Narayana Iyer, deveopled original Theorems and sent them to Ramanujan.
He could not understand it and he forwarded it to Professor Harvey, his Mentor.
Harvey returned it with a note that the Concepts were too advanced for him to follow!
I am stating this to confirm those who experienced in what is being narrated below were not illiterate irrational people.
They were of Scientific temper.
There used to be a Siddha , Kuzhandai Swamy, who used to stay in my Grand father’s house often.
This Kuzhandai Swamigal is the same as the Trilinga Swamigal as mentioned in the Autobiography of a Yogin by Swami Paramahamsa Yogananda.
This Swami was of small stature, measuring around Four and a half feet and used to talk like a child, lisping.
My Aunt, father’s younger sister used to bathe him.
They used to bathe him with about two liters of Ghee!
It will get dried after bath with out the use of Shikakai or Soap or any detergent.
If people like me use that much Ghee for bathing, we would get fits and fall seriously ill.
To him, nothing.
My father noticed a deep mark on his back and asked him about it.
He replied that a Muslim did it in Battle of Plassey!
This Battle took place about a hundred years earlier.
Swami does not eat regularly.
When he decides to eat, he shall consume about four liters of cooked Rice along matching side dishes.
The major difference he had with the other God men is that , when asked about solution to any body;s problems, he used to say that one has to undergo the results of one’s action and no one can do any thing about it
