State terrorism is on the rise in India. Some deep thinking is called for. All agencies, including the judiciary have failed completely to perceive that it is the failure of the political system that is leading to so called terrorist activity. How long can you lock up a citizen who is the victim of governmental failure by calling him a naxalite. The State is using the legislature to ensure repression of the people and its own continuation whatever the party. How long must this continue? What about the miscarriage of justice in the 1984 riots case? Have our courts shed their conscience?
