‘India was better off under British rule: Mohan Bhagwat

What a master piece of disinformation!

Read the article, you will know.

This has been picked up by Foreign Media and by the Internet Community!

It will be worth while remembering that you will never find a single adverse writing on Sonia Gandhi in The Times of India, despite that she is behind all the scams,2G,Antrix-Devas,CWG!

In fact many of my comments involving Sonia Gandhi were suitably edited to avoid reference to Sonia Gandhi.

* I am not a supporter nor an admirer of BJP or RSS at the Political level

” Expressing concern over the dominance of ‘rich and powerful people’ in politics, besides the soaring inflation rate, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that India’s situation was better during the British rule.

“After Independence, the dominance of rich and powerful people in politics and rising inflation have worsened the country’s situation, which is worse than what it was during the British rule,” Bhagwat said.

Speaking at a function organized by Bhonsala Military School (BMS) to celebrate its platinum jubilee year in Nashik on Monday, Bhagwat said, “All political parties were in power some or the other time during the last 64 years since Independence, but the situation has not improved. Hence, citizens must introspect over what went wrong.”

Stating the importance of imparting education through the mother tongue, he said, “Today, there is an insistence on education in a foreign language (English), instead of education in the mother tongue. As a result, the importance of the foreign language has increased to a large extent in the country.”

Bhagwat laid stress on the need for imparting military education to students, citing rising threat to the nation.

He said, “Even 64 years after Independence, India is being threatened by China and Pakistan. With rising concerns over internal security, we should give top priority to military education to students to make India strong.”

  1. What is said above Is quoite reasonable. Times of India group perhaps unknowingly is totally siding with certain criminals & money launders. When I started writing about India’s pioneer fraudsters & money launderers they just did not publish ot banned my messages. I was checking with another outsider who too was trying to write up, they said the Junior Patel’s in Mumbai perhaps have bought them with their add revenues & otherwise. So they do not publish anything about House of Patel’s of Mumbai. Where the Patriac of Patel family is sitting in Mumbai, with amounts in Tax havens, as a Trustee along with his Sons children. The Son has conveniently floated a Trust of convenience in Tax Havens as he wanted to be out of it to settle in NZ. As told to me by their own staff there is some influential Patel of Gujarati origin in New Delhi who is connected & related to House of Patel’s who have a bad name in Money Laundering in Australia, NZ, as well in India & connected with Al Qaida operators. These days for Indians if there is something for them everything is ok, but money should flow. What a sad state of affair in this country.

  3. Ramanan – Thanks for linking to the post and taking time to go through it.

I am extracting below what Mohan Bhagwat said.

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said,

“After Independence, the dominance of rich and powerful people in politics and rising inflation have worsened the country’s situation, which is worse than what it was during the British rule.”

Now this does imply that British administration performed better than Indian Governments.

I would have no quarrel if Mohan Bhagwat had: –

    1. Data to support this contention.
    2. Shared this data with the right people. (Anna Hazare, BJP, VHP, Bajrang Dal, et al) so that they take up this issue and meaningfully address this problem.

Giving children such notions is hardly anything sensible.
