When one moves out of one city to another, following procedures are to be followed to get Indane Gas supply.
Before leaving the city in which you are living,surrender the following to your Gas Distributor.
1.All the Gas cylinders(2) even if they are not empty.You have to carry them .The distributor will not carry them for you.The Regulator should also be surrendered.
2.Hand over the original Gas voucher,which contains details of your deposit details,number of cylinders .
3.Carry your proof of Identity with photo and the gas bill which you have received for reference.
4.Receive the cash you have deposited for the Connection and the surrender receipt.You could also ensure your details are uploaded by the Distributor.
Now locate your distributor  for the area you are moving in the city.
This you can get from your neighbors.
Visit the Gas Agency in person and submit the Documents you received from your earlier distributor.
Also submit your Rental agreement photocopy(carry the original for verification.
You also need to submit an affidavit if you do not have a Ration Card.
The Agency will do it and will charge Rs 300.
In addition to this, you have to pay the cost of two cylinders and Security deposit which has been returned to you by your earlier distributor. The distributor normally charges Rs.45 as handling charges.
You should get the gas the next day.The waiting period normally associated with gas supply does not apply to New/connections on transfer.
If you have any problems, contact the IOC Sales Officer, whose phone number is displayed in the Distributor’s office.
Sir I am serving in indian army I transfer my indne gas to Delhi area Palam I went to take gas to local distributer he is telling that plse bring rent agreement but owner of house person is not agree to give it so I wrote service certificate that I am staying in pame area with H/ NO but he is not agree to give cylinder and he has passed 7 days to saying this plse guide me so that my family get proper food
Residence proof is essential. Owner can not refuse.Do you have ration card, or any other document specifying current address?
Please contact the Sales officer of the company whose name will be disolayed in the distributor’s premises and explain the issue.An affidavit declaring your current address signed by a Notary should be enough.
If you have aadhar card update it and provide.It is accepted.
sir my .name is tarsem lal s/ labh chand..house no. 54 ..vpo algon kothi..teh.patti .disst..amritsar.. my consumer number is tc/352 , my Sv no. is 4859725 d sir I have a gas connection which I was bought from amritsar ..temple city gas service agency amritsar… sir this agency was closed after some time and the connectoins were sended to the pioneer gas agency…sir when I go to their for gain my cylinder the agency employ tell me that this connction is not given …so sir plz help me nd solve my problem i am vry tired. .
i am shifting to my native place, i got the transfer vocher from present distributor-chennai .i have paid security deposit for 2 cylinders and regulator rs 450+450+50- 950rs. In that transfer voucher they
have deducted the advance amount rs 568/which has been credited in the bank .Now the new distributor is in pudukkottai-tamilnadu .The new distributor has told me that i can use the same bank no for subsidy.
Will they credit the advance amount rs 568/to my bank account. they asked to give new address proof only.IS IT FINE

i have done a local transfer of my connection, but new agency people are telling me that my connection cannot be activated as they don’t have any stationary, it will take minimum 4-5 day for stationary to. after that only your connection will be activated
Kindly suggest me what to do..
my problem is that, my family and children are staying in another city. what can i do to change or transfer the connection as the connection is with my name.
If they are using the connection in your name, you can not do anything about it.
Otherwise, you can get a ration card in your name and get a new connection.
The other option is to ask the holder of the Gas connection apply for a new connection and get your gas commection transferred to your city.
Right now even this may be difficult as the supplies for Customers,I understand , is not on.
Please check with IOC.
