The recent humiliation at the election hustings and the pressure of 2 G scam is exerting enormous family tensions between Karunanidhi‘s Legal and the other wife.
This has led Karunanidhi to leave Home and spend time in Government guest house in Chennai before returning home later in the evening.
It is reported that Kanimozhi has stated to DMK Women wing members who visited her in Tihar Jail that she will not rest till she implicates M.K.Stalin in the 2G case.
Stalin is reported to be upset over this and the fact that M.K.Azhagiri,Karunanidhi’s elder son has joined ranks with Kanimozhi.
On the Party front,many District Secretaries of the DMK are reported have gone underground,including the powerful Veerapandi Arumugam fearing arrest by the Special Cell formed to probe into land grab cases.
Many more DMK functionaries have applied for Anticipatory bail.
Pottu Suresh, a thug, Madurai District Working Committe Secretary and the right hand of M.K.Azhagiri has been arrested.
So also ‘attack Pandi’, a paid killer who is close to Azhagiri .who was earlier arrested and released in Dinakaran ,Madurai, burning case has been arrested.
Many senior ex-Ministers in Karunanidhi’s Cabinet have declined to attend DMK Meet scheduled on 23/24 July.
