Where Ram Enacted Ramayan

Sita was not convinced about the power of Maya(Illusion), when Lord Ram explained her of this power.

To explain this Lord Ram enacted the a scene from Ramayan ,that of Mareecha taking the shape of a Golden Deer and made Ram run after it.

This place is Ponmaan Veinda Nallur

Lord Ram is reported to have visited this place along with Sita and Lakshman after the War with Ravana, while he was on a pilgrimage in the South.

He visited other places Rameswaram Suraikayur.

Lord Lakshmi Narayana is reported to have given Darshan to Lord Ram.

In the anciebt days this temple had Nine entrances and Lord Ram entered through the North, Vaikunta Ekadasi Entrance, Sorga Vaasal.

There was a Swambu Linga of Lord Shiva,this is not found to-day.

The temple is in need of renovation.

Here praying for relief in land disputes and legal proceedings in Court in Civil Matters is believed to yield favorable results.

This is located on Thanjavur Melattur route near Thirukkarukavur.

One cab reach this place from Ayyampettai, and Papanasam(Mayuram) by Bus.

Near this temple, there is another place called Kodukizhi, where as a part of this legend Lakshman is reported to have dran the Lakshman Rekha.

Here annual Iravan, son of Arjuna who laid down his life at the start of the Mahabharata War, is celebrated annually.
