  • Ramayana Scientific Dating Wrong?

    It is one thing to be happy about the fact that the Ramayana and Mahabharata are proved by Dating them through internal references in the Epics, like the Astronomical phenomena and  the structures detailed in the Epics,like the Rama Sethu or Adam’s Bridge:Dwaraka of Lord Krishna, the list is more.

    I have posted articles on this subject.

    Normally when I post some controversial topic, I, some times, deliberately leave out some information  in the article which I have presented,it, when taken to its logical end, would lead one to more queries on the subject and at times question the original premise.

    My readers are very astute and they point the fact out.

    My purpose is served because the readers have taken the issue seriously and have referred to the original Epics.

    That is my purpose of writing this Blog, especially on Hinduism and Indian Philosophy.

    One issue which, for quite some time has escaped scrutiny was the dating of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.

    Some of my popular posts on Ramayana Dates were written about two years ago.

    Now one of the readers, Mr.Pradeep Singh caught the point when he sent in a comment.

    Suggest changing dates as it conflicts scientific evidence. As you know that Dwarika is about 35000 yrs old per carbon dating and saraswati river carbon dating also do not infer what you are saying dates for Ramayan. I suggest you do more research and change dates. ALSO Look at Purans, bhavisya puran. People read your views so I am concerned that many people will get wrong message.”

    Yes Mr,Pradeep Singh, the omission was deliberate and am happy that you caught it.

    Let me explain.

    The four Yuga Details.

    SATYA YUGA – (sometimes also called krta-yuga): the golden age lasts 1,728,000 years.

    TRETA YUGA – also called the silver age, lasts 1,296,000 years.

    DVAPARA YUGA – or the bronze age, lasts 864,000 years.

    KALI YUGA – the iron age of hypocrisy and quarrel lasts 432,000 years.

    Ramayana took place in Treta Yuga.

    “Kali yuga starts on the day of SREE KRISHNA PARAMATHMA’S departure to Vykunda, & Lord’s departure was 5111years back,(from 2009)

    SREE RAMAVATHAR was at the 2nd half of Thretha yuga

    therefore RAMAYANA was happened before 8,69,111years ago

    So the Ramayana date should be around 8, 69,000 back.
    Now on to Ramayana dates.
    Rama Sethu. The Adams; Bridge connecting India at Rameswaram and Sri Lanka.

    Sri Lanka may not be an Island nation after all – a chain of limestone shoals called Ram Setu or Pamban Bridge remains faint evidence to the former land connection between the Mannar islands of northwestern Sri Lanka and Rameswaram in the Indian southwestern coast.

    The 3 ft to 30 ft depth of the sea surrounding this 30 miles (48 km) long bridge is not good enough to allow proper navigation. Earlier there used to be a regular ferry service between Talaimannar of Sri Lanka and Rameswaram of India, which is currently withheld due to the continuing civil disorder within Lanka.

    The first mention of this reportedly man-made bridge was found in the accounts of Ibn Khordadbeh in his Book of Roads and Kingdoms. Since then, it has been attributed with several names like Set Bandhai, meaning ‘Bridge of the Sea‘, Rama’s Bridge and Adam’s Bridge.

    The Islamic legends state that it was used by Adam to traverse the route to Adam’s Peak in Sri Lanka to repent for 1000 years, during which he kept standing on one foot. This perhaps explains the large footprint hollow you can find on the Peak.

    On the other hand, the Indian or rather the Hindu legend behind this superbly curved sandstone bridge relates it to the epic Ramayana. Accordingly, it is deemed to be built by the ‘vanara sena’ (monkey army) of the glorious incarnation of Shri Rama, the hero of the epic, to rescue his holy wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana, who ruled over Lanka.

    The radiocarbon dating of the bridge verges on around 1,750,000 years, which roughly coincides with the Indian estimate of the mythical ‘Treta Yuga’.

    The space footages of the Ram Setu provided by NASA has neither confirmed nor rejected these controversial claims. Contrary to the Vaishnava News Network’s insistence on the Rama legend, after taking its 2002 remote sensing images, NASA simply stated that the much-hyped bridge was only a naturally formed chain of shoals and refused to comment on the possible human involvement in its construction”

    Rama’s Birth Date:
    “This planetary configuration was prevailing on the January 5, 5089 BC, and it was on this day that Shri Ram left Ayodhya for 14 years of exile.

     

    Thus, he was 25 years old at that time (5114-5089).

     

    There are several shlokas in Valmiki Ramayana which indicate that Shri Rama.

     

    was 25-years-old when he left Ayodhya for exile. Valmiki Ramayan refers to the solar eclipse at the time of war with Khardushan in later half of 13thyear of Shri Rams’ exile. It is also mentioned it was amavasya day and Mars was in the middle. When this data was entered, the software indicated that there was a solar eclipse on October 7, 5077 BC, (amavasyaday) which could be seen from Panchvati.

     

    The planetary configuration was also the same – Mars was in the middle,

     

    On one side were Venus and Mercury and on the other side were Sun and Saturn.

     

    On the basis of planetary configurations described in various other chapters, the date on which Ravana was killed works out to be December 4, 5076 BC, and Shri Ram completed 14 years of exile on January 2, 5075 BC, and that day was also Navami of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra month. Thus Shri Ram had come back to Ayodhya at the age of 39 (5114-5075).”

     

    This is the anomaly.

    Adam’s Bridge gives the date about ,1750,00 years ago, which is way earlier to 8,69,111years.

     

    The other one based on Lord ram’s birth dates Ramayana by mere 7000 years( 5000 B.C)

     

    Asoka Vatika is also dated thus.

     

    Why?

     

    The reason is that Time, according to Hinduism , is Non Linear and is Circular.

     

    That is Time goes around in Circles and is not forward moving.

     

    In other words there is no past, no present no future.

     

    Time is a continuous flow.

  • Mass Graves Of Sri Lanka Photo Essay

    I have posted exhaustively on the war crimes committed by Sri Lanka in trying to exterminate the Tamils there.

    Mass murder was no an exception but a rule.

    Mass graves keep on coming out.

    Today a new mass grave has been found.

    The total number of human skeletal remains unearthed from a mass grave behind the Matale Hospital has risen to 142 since the excavation started in early November last year.

     

    The skeletal remains have been sent for carbon dating in a bid to establish the era the grave came into existence, officials said.

     

     

    Some argue that the grave contains the victims of the aborted 1971 armed insurrection of the Janatha Vimukthi Perumana (JVP) in 1971 while there are others who say it could go back to the 18th century during the colonial era.

    An official who recently visited the outskirts of Mu’l’livaaykkaal with the soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army told TamilNet this week that he had personally witnessed skeletal remains of hundreds of slain people surfacing along the few kilometers long, L-shaped bunker, running from Vadduvaakal to northwards along the land of the genocidal onslaught. A vast area is still not cleared and is strictly prohibited from access to anyone except SL military officials. “There are booby traps and UXOs. Rotten automatic rifles and RPG ammunitions are lying around in the area. When I walked across a bunker, I was able to sense that it was a bunker of mass slaughter. As the bodies buried underneath have rotten, the soil was going under as we walked across,” he said. Meanwhile, some other mass graves show the use of chemicals that have burnt even the bones to become ashes, journalists report.

     

     

    The end of war in Sri Lanka, captured for posterity by Google Earth published last week by Groundviews was the first look at the end of the war in Sri Lanka through historical satellite imagery freely accessible via Google Earth. The article was an open invitation for those using Google Earth to scan for and alert others over areas and artefacts of interest, that in turn could strengthen discussions around the hellish final weeks of war in Sri Lanka. Given the nature of imagery from around this period and centred on Nandikadal, the article explicitly noted,

    What Google Maps and Earth does NOT enable one to do, given (1) the quality of some of the historical imagery (which sometimes features extensive cloud cover of vast regions) and (2) the large gaps between the available historical imagery (mid March, late May, after the official end of the war and killing of the LTTE’s leader, then mid-June and early August) is any robust analysis on when shelling in a specific region took place, and importantly, by whom.

    Shared widely on Facebook, Twitter and via email, the article clearly indicated that one of the best references today for the research and study of the end of war in Sri Lanka is Google Earth. Imagery accessible via Google’s servers simply isn’t available through other sources or archived elsewhere in the public domain.

    Whereas the previous article studied the sheer scale and extent of the destruction and human displacement in Sri Lanka during the final phase of the war, between March and May 2009, the focus here is on mass graves in and around the so-called Civilian Safe Zones (CSZs). Our first article was anchored to two key UNOSAT reports. The present study is anchored to the High-Resolution Satellite Imagery and the Conflict in Sri Lanka report by the Scientific Responsibility, Human Rights and Law Programme of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), published in August 2009. As with the UNOSAT reports, the AAAS study – commissioned by Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International – was met with official condemnation and Ministry of Defence counter-analysis after its public release, largely anchored to the sections dealing with the removal of IDP structures within the CSZ between 6 and 10 May 2009,..

  • New Mass Grave In Sri Lanka Found

    The leaked UNHRC report by Naveetham Pillai to the UN on the War Crimes of Sri Lanka in killing the Tamils  en masse indicated that there is substance in the allegation that the Sri Lanka Government was indeed Guilty of War Crimes.

    Navneetham Pillai stated that , on her visit to Sri Lanka some time back, British PM Cameron was prevented from visiting th site and the Tamils mobbed him and reported to him the atrocities committed, she was not given enough co-operation by the Sri Lankan Government and that a case exists for an International Probe for War Crimes by Sri Lanka.

    Sri Lanka promptly rejected her statement.

    Earlier the Sri Lanka Minister abused her stating that he was ready to marry her!

    ‘“I urge her to join me to go on a trip around the country. I would teach her the history of Sri Lanka, I would tell her about Maha Ravana. It was we who gave Kuweni in marriage to Prince Wijaya and if Madam Pillay is agreeable I am ready to marry her even tomorrow,” he said.

    He made these remarks addressing a public meeting in Maradana, Colombo today.

    “We are a nation that wore garments prior to the white man, and I will teach Madam Pillay a bit of our history. We were a nation which conducted trade with the world during the era before Christ.  In order to do a study on our nation she has to visit Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Ruhuna. We are a nation that built a flying machine (Dandu monara- a mythological flying machine) before Wilber t and Orville Wright,” he said.

    He further said the country today was free of the clutches of terrorism due to the steadfastness of the Rajapaksas and it was the President who led the country to both the defeat of terrorism and peaceful co- existence among communities.’

    Now that the US is planing to table a resolution to censure Sri Lanka and initiate  action to institute an International Enquiry into the mass killing of the Tamils, the Sri Lanka Government is on the offensive mode with the Sri Lanka Media joining the chorus.

     

    A dampener to them has come  in the way of a family ploughing their backyard and stumbling across a mass grave.

    This incident was registered after two remains exhumed while a house owner ploughed the backyard.

     

     

    Dr S Sivaruban, the Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) of Jaffna Teaching hospital has stated that the majority of the skeletons were female.

     

     

    The clothes of the remains have been decomposed, however pieces of Nylon and a National Identity Card were recovered from the grave, he revealed.

     

     

    Dr. Sivaruban further stated that the residents of the area mentioned that Moonkilaru village faced an artillery attack in 2009.

     

     

    In an inquiry made by ‘BBC Sandeshaya’ Media Spokesman for the Police, SSP Ajith Rohana has stated that the area was under the rule of LTTE for over 20 years.

     

     

    The parts of skeleton are being subjected to further investigations, he added.’

  • Spot Where Indraprastha Was Built In Delhi

    I have been checking the Geographical locations mentioned in the Mahabharata to validate (already validated, I am cross checking).

    I  had earlier posted an article on Indraprastha, based on the Adi Parva of Mahabharata with comparison to Roman cities.

    In this search I stumbled into an article which had indicated the exact spot where Indraprastha was built in Delhi.

    It is the Purana  Qila, The Old Fort of Humayun,

    The Fort was mentioned by Abdul Fazil in Ain-I-Akbari.

    “A book called the Ain-I-Akbari by Abul Fazl was written in the sixteenth century during the region of the Mughal emperor Akbar. It says that Indraprastha, the capital of the Pandavas, the heroes of the Mahabharata story, was located at the spot where Humayun built his fort. In fact, till the end of the nineteenth century, there was a village called Indarpat (which sounds very similar to ‘Indraprastha’) inside the fort. Was ancient Indraprastha located here? This is a question that is difficult to answer with a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no.’

    Archaeologists carried out excavations at the Purana Qila from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. they were interested in finding out how old this site was, and to find out whether or not it could be identified with ancient Indraprastha. The excavations showed that the Purana Qila was indeed a very old site. Archaeologists found that the settlement had many phases dating from about the fourth century B.C. (or earlier) to the nineteenth century A.D.. Pieces of old pottery known as Painted Grey Ware (PGW for short) were also found here and there, and this suggested that people may have lived at some spot in or around the Purana Qila from about 1000 B.C. onwards.

    Why don’t we know for sure whether ancient Indraprastha was located on the spot where the Purana Qila stands?
    There are several reasons for this. First of all, we are not sure whether the Mahabharata is purely a legend, or whether it is a legend based on events that actually happened. Secondly, even in some of the events and people mentioned in the story were real, the evidence from the excavations at the Purana Qila really doesn’t tell us about these events or people. What is does tell us is that there was a very old settlement at or near the Purana Qila perhaps from about 1000 B.C. onwards.’

    The article goes on to state that it can not confirmed as,

    1.We are not sure whether Mahabharata was a fact,

    2.There are more layers to be analyzed and

    3.The Purana Qila records do not ell us about the people of Mahabharata,( other than the mention by Abdul Fazil.

    As to point number 1, The Mahabharata is validated based on the various sites spread throughout the country and in fact in Sri Lanka as well

    So this argument is no longer valid.

    2. No doubt the job is difficult to analyze the layers.It needs effort.

    As to the fact that there is no mention of the people of Mahabharata in Purana Qila information, you do not expect the invaders to record the conquered nation’s History.

    One should be thankful to Abdul fazil for mentioning this fact in Ain_I_Akbari.

Remember that the older layers are found at the bottom of a site, and the upper layers are more recent. Think of these archaeological levels as different floors in a seven-storeyed building.   • Ravana Puspak Vimana Axle Found

    Erich Von Daniken in his Book Chariot of The Gods has advanced a theory that the Aliens have visited the treat and altered our genetic code.

    In the course of his theory, he mentions about the Atomic explosion in Mahabharata and speaks of The Pushpaka Vimana of Ravana and calls it a Spaceship.

    Evidence coming to light of date and advanced dating methods have proved that the Indian Epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata were not mere stories but facts.

    Puranic statements have also been found to be true.

    Now there seems to be some evidence that Ravana had a Spaceship and its part , looking like an Axle has been found in Sri Lanka.

    Stargate markings are never found so clear in anywhere in the world. But in Sri Lanka, the Ranmasu uyana contains stone carving which is believed to be a key to a star gate with secret symbols. This has been carved in a stone wall located in the very same place and believed to be keeping all the key secrets to universal travels through star gates. Some of the Indian ideologists and propagandist historians define this great marking as a useless stone tablet but their sole intention is to suppress the true history of great ‘Hela Yakka’ generation lived in ancient Lanka thus keep Sri Lanka under their iron tyranny.
