    புராணக்கதைகளும் கட்டிடக்கலையும் இந்தியாவில், குறிப்பாக கோவிலில் போட்டியிடுகின்றன.
    மயிலாடுதுறை அருகே ஒரு புராதன கோயில் உள்ளது, அங்கு சிவபெருமானின் சிலை ஒரு நாளைக்கு ஐந்து முறை அதன் வண்ணங்களை மாற்றிக்கொள்கிறது, இது காலபூஜை, தினமும் குறிப்பிட்ட நேரத்தில் பூஜைகள் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன.

    மாயூரம் அருகே வலங்கைமான்/ பாபநாசம் அருகே கல்யாணசுந்தரேஸ்வரர்கள்,பஞ்ச வர்ணேஸ்வரர் கோவில், சிவனின் சுய அவதார சிலை, பகலில் ஐந்து முறை வண்ணங்களை மாற்றுகிறது.

    நிறம் மாறும் சிவ லிங்கம் ,பஞ்சவர்ணேஸ்வரர்.

    மற்றொரு தனித்துவமான அம்சம் என்னவென்றால், கருவறையில் இரண்டு சிவலிங்கங்கள் உள்ளன

    சிவனடியார் திருநாவுக்கரசர் சுவாமியின் பாதங்களைத் தரிசித்த தலம் இது என்பதால், வைணவப் பயிற்சியான ‘சதாரி’யால் பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள் புரிகின்றனர்.

    சுவாமிமலை, கும்பகோணம், திருக்கடவூர் உள்ளிட்ட பகுதிகளில் உள்ள பலருக்கும் தெரியாத நிலையில், இந்த இடத்தை எப்படி அடைவது என்பது குறித்த கூடுதல் விவரங்களை நான் இங்கு தருகிறேன்.

    காலை 6 மணி முதல் 8.24 மணி வரை தாமிரம்.

    காலை 8.25 மணி முதல் 10.48 மணி வரை இளஞ்சிவப்பு

    10.49 முதல் 1.12 மணி வரை உருகிய தங்கம்

    1.13 முதல் 3.36 வரை

    முகவரி மற்றும் ஆலய நேரங்கள்.

    அருள்மிகு கல்யாண சுந்தரேஸ்வரர் (பஞ்சவர்ணேஸ்வரர்) திருக்கோயில், திருநல்லூர்-614 208, வலங்கைமான் வட்டம், கும்பகோணம், தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டம். காலை 7.30 மணி முதல் 12.00 மணி வரையிலும், மாலை 5.30 மணி முதல் இரவு 8.00 மணி வரையிலும் திறந்திருக்கும்.இக்கட்டுரையின ஆங்கில மூலத்தை கீழே சொடுக்கி படிக்கலாம்.

    There is yet another temple where the Shiva Linga absorbs entire Oil when abhisheka is performed.

    ‘This sivasthalam temple is located 13 Kms from Kumbakonam. The temple is located on the road side at Tiruneelakudi on the Kumbakonam – Karaikkal road. From Mayiladuthurai, travel upto Aduthurai on the way to Kumbakonam, and then take a branch road from there to reach Thiruneelakkudi (3 Kms. from Aduthurai).

    Another unique feature is that the Bilva leaves here have five petals instead of three!

    ‘(திருநீலக்குடி நீலகண்டேஸ்வரர் கோயில்) is a Hindu temple located at Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. The historical name of Tiruneelakkudi is Thennalakudi . The presiding deity is Shiva. He is called as Neelakandeswarar. His consort is Oppilamulaiyal.
