A language of over 5000 years of antiquity , probably of the same period of Sanskrit)The Vedas refer to Tamil !) has exquisitely demarcated finer feelings into Literary categories where it studies, explains and classifies these feelings in grand Poetry.
Human activities are divided into two broad categories.
That which is external and more expressive and related to activities more in Public.
This is called “Puram”-புறம்
The other one relates more to private feelings and activities of Man, Love between Man and Woman.
This is classified as ‘Agam’-‘அகம் .
‘Agam ‘ and ‘Puram’, both are part of the feelings of Pleasure.
Puram deals with valour, Compassion and the like where it involves more The Society than the individual.
One might call them as Public sentiments while Agam relates to private feelings.
These Private private feelings are of two kinds.
1.Relationship that has not been sanctified by Marriage, or prior to Marriage, Love
This is called ‘Kalaviyal'(Meeting in Secrecy’) -களவியல் .
One finds the process pf falling in Love, how the one pines for the other, their pangs of separation, the efforts of friends to unite them, the pleasures they get on meeting.
This also explains the signs of love in one, the concern of people for their ‘ill health!
The hints thrown by the lovers to each other and those around them of their for each other.
‘A 15-year-old rape victim has been sentenced to 100 lashes for engaging in premarital sex, court officials said.
The charges against the girl were brought against her last year after police investigated accusations that her stepfather had raped her and killed their baby. He is still to face trial.
Prosecutors said her conviction did not relate to the rape case.
The government said it did not agree with the punishment and that it would look into changing the law….
‘Zaima Nasheed, a spokesperson for the juvenile court, said the girl was also ordered to remain under house arrest at a children’s home for eight months.
She defended the punishment, saying the girl had willingly committed an act outside of the law.
Officials said she would receive the punishment when she turns 18, unless she requested it earlier.
The case was sent for prosecution after police were called to investigate a dead baby buried on the island of Feydhoo in Shaviyani Atoll, in the north of the country.
Her stepfather was accused of raping her and impregnating her before killing the baby. The girl’s mother also faces charges for failing to report the abuse to the authorities.
‘Almost 90 percent of the people found guilty of “Zina” – fornication – and sentenced to flogging in 2011 were female, according to new statistics published by the Department of Judicial Administration last week.

The Gay Marriage issue has hotted up in The US, the case has reached The Supreme Court for hearing and is being hotly debated.
The Supreme Court,US To hear Gay Marriage.
What has hitherto an aberration in Behavior, has been taken as sanctioned socially.
They may not agree that it has never been an aberration.

What beats me is the argument that the Homosexuals couples want to be treated on par with hetero sexual couples!
The very terms used to denote these groups distinctly is, because of their difference, behaviour.
It is like making a Circle equal to a Square!
What exactly are these people demanding now?
To be treated on par with hetero sexual Family and the benefits?
You want the approval of the Society?
You did not listen to the objection of the majority, normal one at that,of going Homosexual, citing all and sundry arguments to justify not-normal behaviour!
You went ahead.
Why do you seek approval from the Society , only to claim the benefits from the Society?
Or respect and regards from the people?
This is obtained by vilification or arguments but by adhering to Social Norms.
Since you chose a different path, have a set of rules and benefits among yourselves for yourselves.
Well. you can not eat the cake and have it too.
Story:
Inside the court’s ornate chambers, some justices wanted to slow things down.
“You want us to step in and render a decision based on an assessment of the effects of this institution, which is newer than cellphones or the Internet?” Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. asked. “We do not have the ability to see the future.”
Even Justice Sonia Sotomayor, whose questioning indicated that she was skeptical of the reasons proffered for why gay couples should not be allowed to marry, seemed to think that it might not be time for the court to make a bold decision.
“If the issue is letting the states experiment and letting the society have more time to figure out its direction, why is taking a case now the answer?” she asked.
A ‘difficult question’
Sotomayor’s question indicated the complicated nature of the case at hand.
Washington lawyer Charles J. Cooper is representing proponents of Proposition 8 in defending the law, since California officials have refused. He said the court should respect the decision of California voters, who faced the “agonizingly difficult question” of whether to protect traditional marriage after the state Supreme Court ruled that gay couples could wed.
Theodore B. Olson, representing two California couples who want to marry, wants Proposition 8 overturned. But he is also pushing the court to find that the Constitution demands that the fundamental right to marry be extended to same-sex couples nationwide.
United for Marriage has organizeddozens of pro-gay marriage eventsacross the nation Tuesday, many with the aid of Episcopal, United Church of Christ, Methodist, Unitarian Universalist and other congregations.
Meanwhile, anti-same sex marriage groups, including the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Family Research Council and the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, have also made broad calls, each asking for prayers this week in support of keeping laws that bar same-sex marriage on the books.
You combine this two, add Porn into the mix, there you have it.

They were also warned that if they do not pay up, there surfing details would be made Public.
Police in Blekinge, south Sweden, have received over 3,000 reports about the company’s fake porn surfing bills from people around the country.
The invoices threaten to expose the recipients as porn surfers if they don’t pay.
The company behind the invoices in on the warning list of the Swedish Trade Federation (Svensk Handels).
“This is a form of blackmail. They send an SMS to them claiming they’ve been porn surfing and write something like ‘if you don’t pay we’re going to expose you as a porn surfer on our website’,” Per Geijer, head of security at the trade federation, told the TT news agency.
Billy Ingemarsson, head of the Blekinge police’s IT crimes unit, told Sveriges Radio (SR) the current wave of complaints is the highest number of reports that have been filed with the Blekinge police, which may need to call in extra staff to deal with the case.
“We’re getting between 15 and 25 reports every day,” he told the broadcaster.
Ingemarsson is leading the investigation and said the company may be prosecuted over fraud, attempted blackmail and crimes against the Debt Recovery Act.”
If the companies blackmail this way, what is the way out?

This is not most people’s idea of a good time—getting bombarded with messages from porn producers seeking payment for nonexistent downloads.
Alison Frankel, who writes for Thomson Reuters, recently wrote anarticle about Jennifer Barker, a Louisville, Kentucky woman who says she never watched a bunch of movies she’s been billed for.
According to the article, she’s “one of tens of thousands people who’ve received settlement demands from porn movie producers and their lawyers in the last few years”.
To get even, Barker has filed a claim of class-action fraud, defamation and racketeering against Patrick Collins Inc., Malibu Media, Raw Films, K-Beech, and Third Degree Films.
According to Frankel’s piece, this is what the allegations include:
“In effect, the pornography purveyors have developed a new business model using the court system to extort money from individuals who are merely identified by IP address and with no proof whatsoever that they downloaded copyrighted materials from the Internet…By extorting settlements of $1,000-$5,000 the pornography purveyors have developed a model whereby they can unlawfully gain more money than they can by selling access to their pornographic videos.”
