In a recent BBC report, a Pakistani neighbor living near the supposed Osama Bin Laden compound identifies then man in video released by the Pentagon, which reportedly show Osama Bin Laden watching himself on TV, as Akhbar Khan and not Osama Bin Laden.
The man interviewed tells the BBC about the man in the video “He is my neighbor, His name is Akhbar Khan, He owns the house……I know him very well”

WASHINGTON — U.S. and British ships and submarines launched the first phase of a missile assault on Libyan air defenses Saturday and a senior American defense official said it was believed substantial damage was inflicted.
In the strikes, 112 Tomahawk cruise missiles were fired at more than 20 coastal targets to clear the way for air patrols to ground Libya’s air force.
While U.S. defense officials cautioned that it was too early to fully gauge the impact of the onslaught, the official said that given the precision targeting of the Navy’s cruise missiles, they felt that Libya’s air defenses suffered a good deal of damage.
Explosions continued to rock the coastal cities, including Tripoli. Navy Vice Adm. Wiliam E. Gortney, director of the Pentagon’s Joint Staff, would not discuss future operations But defense officials said military action was likely to continue.

Almost everyone who encountered murdered defense contractor John Wheeler in the days before his death says he was acting crazy. New surveillance video doesn’t dispute this. Wheeler wanders around a parking garage with one of his shoes in his hand.
The video was taken last Wednesday in a parking garage in Wilmington, Delaware. Wheeler was looking for his car there, and the attendent who spoke to Wheeler in the video said he told her his briefcase had been stolen. She didn’t “notice any odor of alcohol,” according to the Washington Post.
Wheeler’s body was found two days later in a landfill a few miles from his home in New Castle, Delaware. His car was found parked at its usual spot in a different garage near the Amtrak station.

Iman Goldsborough told CNN on Wednesday that a man she later recognized as John P. Wheeler wandered into the parking garage where she works December 29 around 6:40 p.m., disheveled and carrying a shoe in one hand.
“‘I’m not drunk, I’m not drunk,’” Goldsborough quoted Wheeler as saying.

New York (CNN) — A leading opponent of a proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero is asking a question that looms as large as the towers that stood nearby less than nine years ago: “Why there?”
Pamela Geller, a conservative blogger who leads a group called Stop the Islamicization of America, posed the question on CNN’s “American Morning” Wednesday.
“We feel that it is a cemetery and sacred ground and the dead should be honored,” Geller said. “To build a 13-story mega mosque on the cemetery, on the site of the largest attack in American history, I think, is incredibly insensitive.”
Those for and against the proposed mosque butted heads during a passionate three-hour hearing of New York’s Landmarks Preservation Commission Tuesday night.

John Patrick Bedell, 36, died at the hospital Thursday night after Pentagon police returned fire. Police told ABC News that the two police officers wounded in the shooting have been released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries. They are now on administrative leave pending the investigation of the incident, police said.
