Nokia phones are nearly indestructible, which is an amazing feat on it’s own considering iPhones seem to break if you drop them onto a pillow. Anyway, Nokia not only creates indestructible phones, but they also create their ringtones in clever ways!
Nokia Lumia 920
For example, the ‘Ascending’ ringtone is actually Morse code for ‘Connecting People’, which is Nokia’s slogan. Similarly, the ‘Standard’ ringtone is Morse code for ‘M’ – which stands for message. It’s nice to see phone developers getting a little bit original with their design.
Nokia recently held a Bloggers Meet it Bangalore to popularise its product.
A Meet of the Bloggers was organised on 11 November.
Over 300 Bloggers participated.
Some major applications were highlighted.
One is the location of places with more details akin to Google Street Views, where one can view the name boards, signs in Shops and even Menu in Eating Joints.
Being a non technical person, I am curious as to know if there is technology with the help of which you can see things out side your room, is it not a possibility that the technology can be used to see through Bed Rooms as well?
Then how is it the these Applications are allowed?
Or these Applications are available but disabled ?
Some Other Applications .

Now Nokia plans to release more Free Maps Applications and Services to its Rivals’s handsets.
Here Maps will initially be released on Apple iOS devicesoffering downloadable street plans for offline use, and audio-based directions for pedestrians.
Nokia is also developing a version for Mozilla’s forthcoming Firefox operating system, and will release software tools to allow third parties to make use of its data on Android devices.
The move is designed to help the firm compete against Google’s rival product.
Nokia already powers maps available on Windows Phone handsets, Amazon’s Kindle tablets, Yahoo services including Flickr, Garmin sat-nav kits, and about four out of five cars with in-built map displays. Last month Nokia also unveiled a deal with Oracle that will see the business software firm make use of its location services in its products.”
As I mentioned in my earlier blog, I attended the Indiblogger meet at The Gardenia Bangalore on 11 November 2012,co hosted by Nokia and Indiblogger.
The Meet witnessed a large turn out of Bloggers, some three hundred of them( I am told it is a record).
Nokia Apps tasting
Anchored by Rajiv Makhani of Tech Guru and Michelin award winner Vikas Khanna, the event was one those most professionally hosted in a thoroughly enjoyable manner.
It was slickly packaged that, as I remarked to Rajiv ,that one never knew when the Indiblogger ended and Nokia began.
The jibes and counter jibes of Rajiv and Vikas and both of them together with the audience were absolutely top class.

To those from the South ,especially from Tamil Nadu, who crib that the North Indian Anchors/presenters get undeserved fame and money, watch these guys perform!
The manner in which Rajiv pulled up a blogger on the dais, who interrupted Vikas while was the Quiz Master, I do not think she would ever think of interesting any one while they speak!
The interaction time between bloggers could have been more.
Many remarked that it was more of a Nokia Show.
Probably, Yes.
But you do not expect some body to spend so much for nothing.
Bloggers in India are meeting to day,11 November 2012, at Bangalore at 530 pm-1030 PM.
The event is conducted jointly by IndiBlogger and Nokia.
Attendees are 284 at the latest count.
Indiblogger.

The Hosts

Note: This event is for approved IndiBloggers only.
But I am surprised at the interaction of the Attendees, the warmth with which they communicate with each other and the seemingly painstaking arrangements made by the organizers change my mind.
May this continue.
I am quite new to this Community.
Some observations.
Most prominent of the Community seems to be youngsters and they seem to have a thing or two to express which is quite interesting.
I have visited many of the sites and find them to be original,Tech savvy and quietly different, without being brash.
I interacted with a few of them on telephone, the warmth is spontaneous and refreshing.
Let me hear these people and report.
May be some of my readers are also in this Community.

“If you ever thought that maybe your smartphone wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be, that’s because it wasn’t.”
Take cover, iPhone owners: Nokia is about to rain some furious criticisms down on your smartphone. Three “mysterious” videos uploaded by YouTube user SmartphoneBetaTest this weekend take some not-so-veiled shots at the iPhone’s vulnerabilities, all seeking to prove that your current smartphone isn’t all that great and that, furthermore, Apple treats its handset owners like beta testers.
The videos — widely suspected to be part of Nokia’s advertising campaignfor its upcoming Lumia 900 release — show “recently obtained, never before seen footage” of three fictional execs (company unnamed!) discussing shortcomings in their firm’s smartphones. The most viewed video, titled “Death Grip” (guess what that’s a reference to?), features one exec panicking that his phone’s signal is disappearing when he grips the phone a certain way; another exec scolds him and tells him he’s holding it wrong (get it?).
