  • Islam’s Treatment Converts From and TO Other Religions,

Islam and Christianity are touted to be Religions of Equality and their oft touted USP is that all are treated equally in their religions.

I know for a fact that Those who convert to Christianity are not treated equally.

We do witness special Churches for the converts , especially for those from the SC ,ST community.

There are also instances in Tamil Nadu where the Dalit Christians(how they remain Dalits after Joining Christianity I can not fathom!) have revolted against the Church for not treating them equally with others.

One also witnesses the specter of severe infighting for plum post in Churches like the CSI between the Sc/ST Group and the others!

.Normally the former hold all posts.

A Syrian Christian from Kerala would never dream of allowing matrimony with the other groups.

Not to forget the Protestant and Catholic feuds.

For a religion of equality and tolerance, you have so many divisions among them one is at a loss to keep track of them!

    Roman Catholics,Syrian Christian,Greek Orthodox,Armenia,Protestantism,s,Anglicanism, Pentecostalism,Seventh day Adventists,Calvinism…..

    Islam is no different.

    Shia, Sunni takes the cake.

They fight each other more  than with others.

Even the mosques are separate for Converts.

the same problem with SC/ST converts.

Like Christians they would not marry with them.

I was curious whether my impressions are biased and checked the internet.

    This is  a sample result.

    3. Conversion from Christianity to Islam

In 17 October 2012 correspondence with the Research Directorate, the senior research fellow at the Institute of African Studies at the University of Nigeria provided the information contained in the following paragraph with regard to the Igbo community.

The senior research fellow said that dominant Christian Igbo community in the East “display[s] intolerance towards conversion to Islam.” The Igbo view Hausa-Fulani men as “ritually unclean” as they are usually not circumcised. He added that Igbos may display “aggressive defence” of the Christian faith and conduct evangelical activities among the Hausa -Fulani. In the senior research fellow’s opinion, “[t]o the Igbo and Hausa-Fulani … interreligious conversion between them amounts to a case of extreme religious apostasy and a virulent rebellion against their respective communities.” However, he also stated that the Igbo situation represents “the extreme of intolerance towards conversion to Islam” in Nigeria. He also indicated that while conversion from Christianity to Islam is encouraged by the Hausa-Fulani, new Christian converts find it difficult to integrate fully into the community. Some traditional Muslims may regard new converts from Christianity to Islam with “suppressed disdain”; this, claims the senior research fellow, is illustrated by the unwritten policy that prevent new converts from Christianity to Islam from taking important roles within the community. For instance, the Hausa-Fulani consider that no convert from outside their customary group should be either an Imam or Qadi [Sharia judge]. Corroborating information could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate within the time constraints of this Response. The senior research fellow expressed the opinion that, based on their interpretation of the Quran, “most traditional Muslims” perceive new converts from Christianity as “unreliable members” of the Muslim community. Corroborating information or information pertaining to other Christian communities in Nigeria could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate within the time constraints of this Response…..

    Conversion from Islam to Christianity.

In 17 October 2012 correspondence with the Research Directorate, the senior research fellow at the Institute of African Studies at the University of Nigeria provided the information contained in the following paragraph.

The Hausa-Fulani and related groups located in the north of Nigeria rely on the “Arab world” for “religious, socio-cultural and political inspirations.” This means that they may see themselves as “the bastion of opposition against the spread of Christianity and Western culture in Nigeria.” Since the leaders of the Hausa-Fulani community view with “grave concern” the “increasing Western influence” among their people, conversion from Islam to Christianity by their members is also regarded as a “treasonable act.” Those who convert are “ostracized” by members of their community and cease to benefit from the protection and patronage from both the government of their states and Muslim kinsmen, and are, therefore, “prone to [en]danger their lives.” Corroborating information could not be found among the sources consulted by the Research Directorate within the time constraints of this Response. The senior research fellow expressed the opinion that “the Hausa-Fulani presents an extreme situation in Muslim intolerance to Christianity” in Nigeria.

Treatment of Muslims converted from Islam to Christianity.

if an ex-Muslim who has converted to Christianity is considered by his Muslim family, friends, and fellow Muslims to be an ‘Islamophobe’ for his criticism of the God of Islam, Allah, and for calling the ideology of Islam and the Qur’an the biggest lie in history? Al Qaeda thinks that and worse: it has called the words and actions of Mosab Hassan Yousef a crime punishable by death… and that is just for his conversion from Islam to Christianity.

Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of one of the cofounders of Hamas, once president of the Islamic Youth Movement and now considered by many followers of the Qur’an to be a traitor, has clearly been on a mission since 2007: to shake up the billions of believers of Islamic ideology with his seditious interviews, speeches, and writings… including this 11 minute video in which he does just that.

In this video, Yousef is clearly talking to both Muslims and non-Muslims as he crusades to expose what he believes is the core issue of Islam that finally made him leave.

“The problem is in the God of Islam. This is shocking, and unfortunately this is a reality about this God. He is a God of torture, he’s a deceit God. This is what he talks about himself. Every Muslim who reads the Qur’an and allows themselves to listen to this Qur’an and believe at the same time this is from God, I think they are sick and they need help.”

    ….

Interviewer: “They torture and they kill people in the jail? Their own people?”

Yousef: “Yes, they tortured and killed their own people… They put needles under the fingernails. Hamas leaders that we see on the TV now, and big leaders, were responsible for torturing their own members.”

The fact is that Yousef witnessed Muslims being tortured in Arab prisons and atrocities committed by Hamas against their brethren. Then, while captive in an Israeli jail along with his father, Yousef experienced humane treatment by his lifelong enemies, the Israelis. This was a stark comparison which made him vulnerable to becoming one of the top informers for Israel’s Shin Bet for over a decade… and led finally to his conversion to Christianity. He has been one of the faithful living in California since 2007.

Yousef states: “What I am trying to tell you… Your problem, my problem, the world’s problem is not with Muslims. The majority of Muslims are great and wonderful people. They are my people. I know their pain, I know suffering and I know their hearts… We are comparing Ideologies.”

He continues: “Islam as a religion in general is a lie wrapped with some facts and truths and I am talking this with authority of somebody who understands exactly what Islam is all about. And it’s the biggest lie in history, in my opinion. And this is the biggest danger: that about a quarter population of earth believe that this is a religion from God.”

In one comment Yousef explains how the Qur’an is interpreted and twisted to be just what one wants it to be. “What Muslims, Muslim sheiks or religious people do is that they focus only on one part of Islam that they need at a time. If it’s a wartime zone they are talking about Jihad. They bring up the verses that apply. It’s like a very political religion and this way I found out that Islam is the most bi-polar religion on Earth. That you can find anything you want.”

  • Bill Gates ‘No Use For Money’

One works himself to Death to earn money.

People forget that even if you happen to own millions of Dollars, you may eat three square meals,Sleep for ten hours,Drink probably a Bottle a day, have women restricted by one’s capacity (physical) at the most.

    Then what?

Temporarily you are satisfied and the whole process begins all over after some time.

    A vicious cycle.

Satisfaction  of the desires of the senses is like poring Ghee into a Fire.

The more you satisfy, more they demand!

Again the objects of satisfaction varies , not the  pleasure.

This pleasure changes from time to time and Age.

When one falls sick and befalls a bed, these pleasures are a Mirage.

Senses are meant to enjoy for limited purpose/enjoyment.

Over indulgence leads to Emptiness and disillusionment.

Things are enjoyable till they remain a mystery and seemingly unattainable.

Money is an  instrument for satisfying needs.

Once the basics are met, better to say quits.

This is the key to happiness.

Now Read what Bil gates has to ay on the use of Money.

Also refer my blog on the Lifestyle of Bill Gates.

    Otherwise they become stale.

“It’s very rare that you become a Billionaire.

But still rarer is to donate have your feet planted in the ground.

Bill Gates will be remembered longer for his Charity than for Microsoft.

Bill Gates has frugal tastes. Asked to name his luxuries, he lists DVDs, books and takeaway burgers. It is hard, however, to think that any fast-food outlet would get rich on Gates’s custom. During a long list of engagements beginning well before dawn, he consumes nothing but cans of diet cola.

For America’s wealthiest citizen, austerity is relative. The retinue of staff and the private jethint at a fortune said to be approaching £40 billion. As he told pupils at a south Londonschool he visited this week: “If I hadn’t given my money away, I’d have had more than anyone else on the planet. Ninety-nine per cent of it will go.”

    http://ramanisblog.in/2012/01/28/bill-gatess-lifestyle/

    Story:

“I’m certainly well taken care of in terms of food and clothes,” he says, redundantly. “Money has no utility to me beyond a certain point. Its utility is entirely in building an organisation and getting the resources out to the poorest in the world.”

That “certain point” is set a little higher than for the rest of us – Gates owns a lakeside estate in Washington State worth about $150 million (£94  million) and boasting a swimming pool equipped with an underwater music system – but one gets the point. Being rich, even on the cosmic scale attained by Bill Gates, is no guarantee of an enduring place in history. The projection of the personal computer into daily life should do the trick for him, but even at the age of 57 he is a restless man and wants something more. The “more” is the eradication of a disease that has blighted untold numbers of lives: polio.

Later this month, Gates will deliver the BBC’s Dimbleby Lecture, taking as his theme the value of the young human being. Every child, he will say, has the right to a healthy and productive life, and he will explain how technology and innovation can help towards the attainment of that still-distant goal. Gates has put his money where his mouth is. He and his wife Melinda have so far given away $28 billion via their charitable foundation, more than $8  billion of it to improve global health.

“My wife and I had a long dialogue about how we were going to take the wealth that we’re lucky enough to have and give it back in a way that’s most impactful to the world,” he says. “Both of us worked at Microsoft and saw that if you take innovation and smart people, the ability to measure what’s working, that you can pull together some pretty dramatic things.

“We’re focused on the help of the poorest in the world, which really drives you into vaccination. You can actually take a disease and get rid of it altogether, like we are doing with polio.”

This has been done only once before in humans, with the eradication of smallpox in the 1970s.

Polio’s pretty special because once you get an eradication you no longer have to spend money on it; it’s just there as a gift for the rest of time.”

One can see why that appeals to Gates. He has always sought neat, definitive solutions to things, but as he knows from Microsoft, bugs are resilient things. The disease is still endemic in Nigeria, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and killing it off altogether has been likened to squeezing jelly to death. There is another, sinister obstacle: the propagation by Islamist groups of the belief that polio vaccination is a front for covert sterilisation and other western evils. Health workers in Pakistan have paid with their lives for involvement in the programme.

  • Meet The Most Notorious Nigerian Scammer.

People  still tend to believe these scammers because of their avarice.

Best way to stop them is to know that no body offers you anything for nothing.

His name is Maxwell Gbogboade, and his mark was a 64-year-old man whom he met on a dating service. Gbogboade posed as a woman from Nigeria named Mary Douglas, who needed “money to go to a movie shoot in Africa.” After that, she promised him, she’d move to the U.S. to be his girlfriend.

The man attempted to withdraw $46,000 from the bank for his Nigerian internet girlfriend, whereupon a good samaritan (the story doesn’t specify who) smelled a rat and contacted the police. After tracing some emails back to Nigeria, a sting was set, and Gbogboade was arrested in the lobby of the Philadelphia Airport Marriot posing as a courier.
