  • Vishnu’s Navel Galaxy Center Verified Collapse Of Civilizations

Hindu Astronomy, which is intricately linked to Indian Philosophy(in Hinduism all these are intricately interwoven) calls the Center of our Universe,Galaxy)  as Vishnu Nabhi, the navel of Lord Vishnu.

    The Galactic Center
The Galactic center. In our home galaxy, the Galactic Center corresponds to an area of space between the constellations of Scorpio and Sagittarius, its critical points are in the Gandanta degrees of these signs. Image from:http://starworlds.blogspot.in/2010/11/astroweather-transformative-alignments.html

Hinduism states that the world, through Brahma, evolved from the Navel of Lord Vishnu.

Brahma , with the blessings of Lord Vishnu created the world by producing Daksha Prajapathi , the first Man.

    Then the entire Humanity evolved.

    This is creation part elaborated.

    Now to Astronomy.

The Sun ascends and descends from the navel of Lord Vishnu,.

Sun takes 12, 000 years for ascension, moving towards the navel, and 12000 years  for descending, moving away from Lord Vishnu’s Navel.

( in Earth Years and the distance from the navel of Lord Vishnu to the center of the earth)

These 24,000 year of Ascending and Descending cycle approximates the 25,765 Precessional Years when the sun moves backwards in the 12 zodiacal constellations.

This is from the Surya Siddhanta.

1.Lord Vishnu’s Nabhi as the center of our Milky way Galaxy verified.

“The Galactic Center cannot be observed at visible, ultraviolet, or x-ray wavelengths because interstellar dust obscures the line of sight. All scientific information about it comes from observations of gamma ray, hard X-ray, infrared, and radio wavelengths. The precise astronomical location of the Galactic Center at approximately 3 degrees Sagittarius (sidereal) was first verified in 1918 by Harlow Shapley. However its energetic connection to the earth was not realized until 1932 when Karl G. Jansky, an engineer working for Bell Telephone, was investigating the source of the static interference with overseas telephone lines. He discovered that the interference was due to radio waves being emitted from the center of the galaxy. The source of the radio waves appears to be located almost exactly at the Galactic Center, and may coincide with a super massive black hole. This black hole has the equivalent mass of 4 million suns and is the source of most of the gravitational energy in our galaxy. Thus the Galactic Center is the Sun around which our Sun rotates.
Hinduism understood this connection between Sun and the Galaxy, and used it as a marker for the ascending and descending yuga cycles that are measured by our Earth/Sun relationship to it (ie the pole star alignments at the solstices).

During the past decade the winter solstice occurs as the Sun rises in the mouth of the great rift or Galactic Center and will be exact in 2012. In Galactic Alignment John Major Jenkins revealed that this alignment is one of the astronomical phenomena tracked by ancient Mayan, Egyptians and Vedic traditions.

Our Galactic Center  In our home galaxy, the Galactic corresponds to an area of space between the constellations of Scorpio and Sagittarius, its critical points are in the Gandanta degrees of these signs.

..In our home galaxy, the Galactic Center corresponds to an area of space between the constellations of Scorpio and Sagittarius, its critical points are in the Gandanta degrees of these signs. In Vedic astrology the transition of a water sign to fire sign is called Gandanta,.

This is an inauspicious position causing misery to the area of influence of the planet.

Sanskrit word Gand means knot, or node, and anta means end, in particular the last 3 degrees of a water sign, and first three degrees of a fire sign — at the three distinct junctions of Pisces (Revati)- Aries (Aswini), Cancer (Ashlesha)- Leo (Magha), and Scorpio (Jyeshta)- Sagittarius (Mula).

    2.Collapse of Civilizations Indicated.

As it is very complicated to follow, later Hinduism follows the Great Bear Constellation’ or the Saptha Rishi Mandala or constellation .

The findings are the same. but these calculations are easy to follow.

“According to this calendar the Great Bear stayed in one constellation for 100 years, thus adding up to 2,700 years for 27 constellations. However, 12,000 years were equally divided into four Yugas or Ages with each yuga getting 3,000 years: Satya Yuga (Golden Age), Treta Yuga (Silver Age), Dwapar Yuga (Bronze Age) and Kali Yuga (Iron Age), with the Transition or Mutation period of 300 years each.

It has been established by several scholars through the historical accounts in Mahabharata and visits of the Greeks travelers etc to India, that the Saptrishi Calendar started in 6676 BCE. Moreover, since Mahabharata describes events happening in Dwapara Yuga, it has been established that 6676 BCE marks the beginning of Descending Dwapara Yuga. According to this calculation, we are in the Ascending Kali Yuga (676 BCE to 2025 CE). Now, the Transitional Period of 300 years starts from 2025 CE and ends in 2325CE before the next yuga starts.

What is important here is the Transitional Period. Calculations indicate that in the past Transitional Periods, Sri Yukteshwar’s “complete change” indeed took place. Scholars have linked in this way:

Consider Transitional or Mutation Period preceding Ascending Kali Yuga, 300 years back from 676 BCE – Troy was destroyed, the great Mycenaean cities collapsed, “Third Intermediate Period” of Egypt happened, Indus Valley Civilisation ended, and Hekla volcano eruption”

It is expressed in these treatises that Human Intellect and culture peaks as the Sun moves towards the Vishnunabhi and declines when it moves away from it.

Based on complex calculations on this and the checking up of our earth’s History and Civilization , increased volcanic eruptions, sink holes, increased earthquakes, increased flooding, increased cracking of the earth because of earth swelling began in 2012.

It is expected to worsen and the calamities will increase  and would lead to the collapse of Civilizations in Three Hundred years time.

  • Special Food Offering, Naivedyam To Gods

Hinduism is unique in that it treats Gods as one among them.

    Gotus offering in Chiadambaram
    Chidambaram Gotsu

Gods are bathed, dressed up,fed, married, sent to bedroom with consort .

The offerings to God at the end of a Pooja or Payer is mandatory.

Standard  daily offering is Betel-leaves, Betel-nuts and Plantains.

Coconut is also included during special functions.

The belief is that what plan to eat must be offered to God as a mark of thanks giving to Him for having provided us with food.

Another reason is that it is the belief of the Hindus that Food articles, whether cooked or uncooked are impure, might contain negative thought waves by those who produced them because of their personal problems or they not having been compensated adequately.

Edible products may also contain some inherent properties which may be injurious to our Physical and mental health.

By offering these to God before we eat, God relieves of these impurities and makes the food fit to eat.

For details please read my post Naivedyam, How to Offer, filed under Hinduism.

Some special food items are offered to Deities in the Temples.

    Some items offered are odd.

They are in tune with the local legend of the Deity.

    offering Aravanai Payasam Ayyappa.
    Aravanai Payasam Sabarimalai

In Uppiliaapn Koil, near Mayuram,Tamil Nadu, Lord Venkateswara is offered Food without Salt.

Legend has it that Father of.Tamil Saint Andal,of Srivilliputtur, wife of Lord Vishnu in his form a manga Mannar, informed and prayed Lord Vishnu that his daughter whom he has married was brought up by him .

He being s  Sanyasi used to take less of Salt or no salt at all.

Their fore His daughter may not know how to cook or cook with less or no Salt at all. He prayed God that He bear with her.

Lord Vishnu replied that hence forth He would accept food ony with out Salt at Uppiliappan Koil.

This is being practiced even to-day. Cooked Rice with Kumkum and turmeric powder is offered for Mariamman in general and it is also offered in Samayapuram.

In Madurai and Srivilliputtur  a specially cooked Milk, which tastes Divine, called/Arvanai Pal, is offered.

In Sri Rangam and Srivillputhur,a Special Huge Dosa, cooked with out oil and containing dried Ginger is offered.

One can not eat even a half of thi and this Dosa does not go stale even after a week.

Every one knows the Tirupati Laddu. In Sabarimala, Lord Ayyappa is offered Aravanai Payasam, an exquisite sweet delicacy.

In Ujjain Lord Kala Bhairva is offered country liquor!

Special Maha Prasad id offered at Puri, to Lord Jagannath.(Orissa, India) In Andhra Paramaannam is offerd to Gods.

This contains Cooked Rice Jaggery, coconut gratings, a slight variation of Sarkarai Pongal of Tamils ,

Other standard offerings are Ven Pongal, Thayir Sadam.

In Chidambaram Nataraja temple, a special dish, Brinjal Gotsu is offered to the Lord along with Samba Saadam.

I shall post the Recipes for for offering to God and course for us to eat and enjoy.

  • Jainism Buddhism Created By Lord Vishnu.

There are twelve Avatars of Vishnu which is in vogue.

There is also a list of the 28 Avatars of Vishnu, about which I have blogged.

The Vishnu Purana states that the Jainism and Buddhism were a created deliberately by Lord Vishnu as a curse to ensure that the Asuras do not follow the Vedas, as the strict adherence to the Vedas by the Asuras were making them stronger and more powerful than the Devas.

    The narration is like this.

Mahavir , the Founder of Jainism
    Mahavira,Jainism-The last Thirthankara.

During one of the innumerable wars between the Devas ans the Asuras, the Asuras were gaining the upper hand and the Devas entreated Lord Vishnu to save them.

Lord Vishnu created Maya Mohan,One who appears to be Real but illusory, that is the Preaching would be deceptively similar to the Vedas but against the Authority of the Vedas.

Maya Mohan taught the new system to the Asuras and as they were listening attentively, he ,Lord Vishnu, kept repeating ‘Arhatha, Arhata’,’Be Deserved for this’

This body of Teaching later came to be known as ‘Arhatha’ which term became corrupted later and was known as Jainism.

So the Asuras started following the new Religion.

The word Jainism is derived from a Sanskrit verb Jin which means to conquer. It refers to a battle with the passions and bodily pleasures that the jainaascetics undertake. Those who win this battle are termed as Jina (conqueror). The term Jaina is thus used to refer to laymen and ascetics of this tradition alike.

It could also indicate thet Lord Vishnu conquered the Asuras or the Devas conquered them.

The Jaina meta Physics closely resembles, in fact most of them are from, Hinduism.

Jaina metaphysics is based on seven or nine fundamentals which are known as tattva, constituting an attempt to explain the nature of the human predicament and to provide solutions to it:[34]

    1. Jīva: The essence of living entities is called jiva, a substance which is different from the body that houses it. Consciousness, knowledge and perception are its fundamental attributes.
    2. Ajīva: Non-living entities that consist of matter, space and time fall into the category of ajiva.
    3. Asrava: The interaction between jīva and ajīva causes the influx of a karma (a particular form of ajiva) into the soul, to which it then adheres.
    4. Bandha: The karma masks the jiva and restricts it from having its true potential of perfect knowledge and perception.
    5. Saṃvara: Through right conduct, it is possible to stop the influx of additional karma.
    6. Nirjarā: By performing asceticism, it is possible to shred or burn up the existing karma.
    7. Mokṣa: The jiva which has removed its karma is said to be liberated and to have its pure, intrinsic quality of perfect knowledge in its true form.

Some authors add two additional categories: the meritorious and demeritorious acts related to karma. These are called puṇya and pāpa respectively. These fundamentals acts as the basis for the Jain metaphysics..

Jainism Karma Theory is the strict interpretation of Hindu Karma Theory.

    Buddhism.

As some of the Asuras did not follow these teachings, Lord Vishnu taught another body of thought saying ‘Buddhyatvam, Buddhyatha’.

The One who propounded this Theory was called the Buddha.

This body of thoughts became known as Buddhism.

Buddhism also closely follows Hinduism excepting the denial of God.

It may be appreciated that Adi Sankaracharya was called a ‘Pseudo Buddhist for his interpretations of the Mahavaayas, while arriving at Advaita.

Buddhism is Nihilist while Advaita defines Reality as Not Two.

This may be the reason for the fact that Jainism contains most of the Teachings of the Vedas, especially the Rules to follow in Life.

  • Avatars Of Lord Shiva List, Rudra Son Of Brahma

The essential difference between the  Avatars of Lord Vishnu and Shiva is that while Lord Vishnu is born from the womb as in Ramavatar,Krishnshnavatar,Parashururamavatar and the like, as far as I know Lord Shiva is not recorded of having been born of a womb.

    Lord Shiva's Avatar
Sixty Four Divine Plays of Lord Shiva.

The explanation given is that Lord Shiva is ‘Ayonija’, one who does not stay in the womb.

However there are Avatars of Lord Shiva,Sixty Four in Number are narrated in the Tamil Texts of yore, ‘Thiruvilayadal Puranam’

I have not come across anything other than this in Texts.

In all these instances, Lord Shiva is not born to any one;He appears, attends to the job on hand and disappears.

I have found a list of Avatars of Lord Shiva in Koorma Purana.

The Twenty eight Avatars of Lord Shiva are,

    1.Swetha.

    2.Sudhara.

    3.Madanan.

    4.Suhendran.

    5.Kanganan.

    6.Lokaakshi.

    7. Jai Kishhavyan.

    8.Daadhi Vaahan.

    9.Rishaban.

    10.Bhrigu.

    11.Ugran.

    12.Athri.

    13.Bali.

    14.Gauthaman.

    15. Vedashreeshan.

    16.Gokarnan.

    17.Kshishikandakan.

    18.Jatamaali.

    19.Attahasan.

    20.Thaarukan.

    21.Langaali.

    22.Mahayaaman.

    23.Muni.

    24.Shooli.

    25.Pindamuneeswaran.

    26.Sahishnu.

    27.Soma Sharma.

    28.Nakuleeswaran.

I do not fond any reference to these Names in the Vedas.

Some of the names mentioned here Pinda Muneeswaran,Muni are the names of the Grama Devatas or Gods protecting the Towns, who are generally described as belonging to lower Pantheon of Gods in Tamil Nadu.

    Source: Koorma Purana.

There is again a mention of Lord Shiva’s Amsa, a reflection of Him in…as,

    Sun as Rudra,

    Water as Bhava,

    On Earth as Siva,

    As Pasupathy in Fire,

    As Esa in Air,

    As Bhima in Heavens,

As Fire in the bodies of Brahmins and as

    Mahadeva, in Chandra, Moon.

Normally the Vedas describe Lord Rudra as an Amsa of lord Shiva and here it is the other way!

Again most of the references here are more in the nature of explaining the essentials of the Nature of the elements where Shiva is described to be residing in.

And to top it all, Lord Rudra is described as the Son of  Lord Brahma.

    Source.Brahmaanda Purana.

Contributions on this subject is welcome.

  • Kannadasan Meenakshi Kungumam

Recently we were driving down to Hyderabad from Bangalore.

    Kannadasan
    Kannadasan (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

My son was listening to new film songs,Tamil,Hindi and  English.

When we started playing old Tamil songs ,my son likes them too, there was this line from the  Tamil Song,

    ‘Aagayap Pandalile Oorkolam Pohuthamma’,

    ‘Meenavin Kungumaththai Naanaalavendumamma’

The song is between the lovers.

The lady says ’May I be Blessed with/rule the Kum Kum or Kungumam of Goddess Meenakshi’

What is conveyed is that ‘my husband Be Blessed with long life’

Here  why does the poet say ( I would not Kannadasan a Lyricist, he is a Poet) the way he says it?

My son remarked that Kannadaasn is obsessed with Meenakshi.

    I agree.

Yes , Kannadasan is obsessed with Goddess Meenakshi, Madurai.

The first reason is that as a Nattukkottai Nagarathar, as his community is,he is attached to Meenakshi and Umayal.

One may find these names among the women folk of the Nattukkottai Nagaraththaar.

Another reason is that there is something significant about Meenakshi, more specifically  about her Kum Kum.

Kannadasan penned these lines as well.

‘‘Thangath Theroodum Veedhiyile Oorkolam Pohuthayya Sevvazhaip Pandhalile Lakshmi Kalyaanam’(Film Lakshmi kalyaanam)

“Ammuru Meenakshi Paarthaalum Ava Kanuukku Varuthamadi’(Savale Samai’-

Ammuru is a slang widely used for Nammuru, Our Town in Old Ramanathapuram District, especially  among the Nagarathaar Community)

‘Kungumam, Mangala Mangayar Kungumam(film Kungumum), to quote a few.

Lord Shiva is regarded as the One who is never born.

He is Ayonijan,One who does not stay in the womb’

One may notice that Lord Shiva appears suddenly before His devotees,

Devas and disappears, apparently from nowhere;while Lord Vishnu stays in the womb as in Ramavatar, Krishnavatar.

Lord Shiva is described as the Eldest of All. Goddess Uma is His Wife.

She is variously described as Abirami,Parvati,Lalitha.

In Abiramai Andhadi Abirama Bhatar describes  Goddess Abirami as, Endrum Moova Mukunkarkku Ilayavalai( one who is younger to the one who never Ages.

( Lord Vishnu) Goddess Lalitha is described as ‘Sumangali’ in Lalitha Sahasranama.

    She is the Ultimate ,

She wears The Vedas on Her forehead/at the front of the Central partition of Her Hair on Her Head:

or another interpretation is that the Sruthi/Vedas wear Her on Its Forehead(The Forehead of The Vedas is The Upanishads)

    “Sruthi Seemanatha Sindhhora Thikaanchita’

The Dust of Lalitha’s Feet is worn by The Vedas or The Vedas are the Dust at or of Her Feet.

    ‘Sruthi Paathapja Dhoolika’-Lalitha Sahasranama.

Lailitha is described as the One who can Create the Universe at the wink of an Eye.

    ‘Unmesha Nimishoththpanna Vipanna Bhuvanaavali”-Lalitha Sahsranama

What could be greater than being the Husband, that too who is Himself never born?

Now such a wife’s wish, how great , noble, endearing, powerful and auspicious!

In the case of Kamakshi She is the One who grants one’s wishes .

Meenakshi protects and showers Blessings with Her Eyes.(Meenakshi in Tamil denotes  one who protects with Her looks) and Lord Shiva in his Avatar as Lord Somasundarar is known only as the Husband of Meenkashi. the Ruler of Madurai.

No wonder a Great Poet as Kannadasan refers to Meenakshi!
