While in the South Ganesha is worshiped as a Celibate, Brahmachari, He is worshiped with two wives in the North India, Siddhi and Buddhi being His two wives, representing the Chitta and Discrimination.

Ravana’s Swayumbu Linga Found Koneswaram

Most of us are aware of the Swaymbu Linga obtained by Ravana from Lord Shiva and how Lord Ganesha made sure that he does not get away with it.

There is another version that states it is the Atma Linga.
